I don't see a boost in interest in this event ... am where I almost always am for the Thursday/Friday portion of a Faction event (sub 1000s) ... I always drop off during the weekend because of real life going on ...
I'm currently #1004 with my shuttles coming in in less than 30 minutes.
Have only done the standard ramp up and have had 1 shuttle fail (4/4 overnight luckily) in total so far ... also, I'm not a squad leader anymore, so do have the benefit of taking advantage of shared crew. The only boosts I use are 3* boosts to boost skills (mainly DIP this time around).
EDIT: Went 3/4 and went up to 727 ... business as usual for me ... will end between 1000 and 2000 by event's end probably, as I'll miss at least 5 batches of shuttles over the coming days.
Faction events during mega-events are the only events I've ever placed sub-1000 on.
Anyone else finding this event more competitive? Probably the new rewards structure, but with putting in roughly the same amount of effort as I do when targeting a top 1k finish, I'm way off the mark, even though my crew are all bonus.
Good luck to everyone!
No, not really. In fact I am doing slightly better than usual by this time as normally I'd be in the mid 200's right now and I am currently in the mid 100's. I do agree with @Paladin 27 though in regards to using more time boosts as I normally only boost 1 shuttle at a time but this time around I am boosting 2 at a time. Otherwise, everything else is as business as usual for a faction event.
Competition around 1k is more robust than average. Not Jadzia robust mind you. I think it is because of Picard and because with the bonus crew mix, the number of 3 slot single stat and "or" shuttles, and the fact that there are a lot of the less common COM and downright rare ENG heavy shuttles that more players are aeeing fewer fails.
I'm doing better than usual. Sitting at 313 with four shuttles a half hour from returning. I do have a deep crew of 5* Datas, holograms, and both Vic Fontaines.
No, I've got 9 holograms at 1-3 /4 fused. I'd love to have more options to be more competitive. At least I got a Satan's Robot yesterday.
Musketeer Picard: Not bad, at least he's SEC voyage crew. I guess this mega is just midrange crew, another voyage SEC is helpful at least, and I'm so low on SEC crew he's my #5 base when FF.
Tze, tze Commander Synthehol, for someone who always slashes people who spend with pseudopsychological and opinion enforcing gibberish you invest a huge amount of time thinking about your internal rankings, being competitive etc.
Which is "funny" cause by your "logic" the time you spend competing and writing in this forum you could also use in reality to socialize/drink with peeps who will follow you until your deathbed Instead, to use your "logic" again, you invest it on a game with technology that will not exist anymore in a few years.
And here for a change you make sense. Cause one has to think of the future, but also enjoy today. Something bad could happen to anyone of us any day. And all the best laid plans are indeed dead.
Only saying because the time that this nice guy you attacked for his investment used to open his 10 packs is much less than the time you use to play and write here. And he and all others who spend finance STT for persons like you. Without them you would have no STT to play. That is bad to you, but your "gimme free water" attitude is good and cool, lol. "Slightly" hypocritical "dear" Synthi!
Competition is definitely tougher than usual. I also chalk it up to the high number of bonus crew and wider availability of boosts. Not sure if I will be able to make top 1k this event, and I usually don't have any trouble.
