The most important point for me is that the card is actually obtainable for a newer player like me. I really hope they don't repeat the current event's mistake and put her at 400K VP or something similarly crazy.
Although the character seems to be an uninspired choice for a legendary 5*, she's a great choice from a storytelling perspective, if she's found a way to put most of the quadrant under her spell...
All the better if Kivas Fajo becomes an event 5*, taking advantage of a subdued quadrant to pillage all unique items of value... or maybe she's teamed up with some rogue Q's (ie: female Q, young Q, Quinn) for the takeover (instead of technology like her last attempt)... lots of opportunity to work in some other highly requested characters!
I genuinely wonder how DB come up with the idea of the MEGA Event Special Characters....... so far (apart from Borg Queen and possibly Cornwell) they have not inspired me with much mega feelings...... cant even guess what the theme will be??? Trek at Play?? Going to see Risa Quark and Vic fontaine again??
"Just let go. Relax." makes me think Shore Leave, especially with Mountaineer Spock as the first legendary. The "it's a game" thing could point to athletes, too, but I'm going to lean toward shore leave.

I dunno - starting with the Borg Queen it's kind of natural to assume the mega recurrings are supposed to be the biggest of the big, but that does seem kind of limiting, and realistically there's only so many must-have crew that DB are just going to give out for free. And it makes sense to me that the recurring should be someone who's at the heart of all four weeks of the event, so if the storyline is all about Etana Jol causing mayhem, then... yeah, I get why it's her. I mean the alternative is that a mega event's story can only focus on a major character, or at least one that's a big deal to a lot of us, but there's not that many Kivas Fajos, where he just turned up in one episode but was such a memorable villain that we all love him (love to hate, obviously - you know what I mean). Looking at it from a story point of view, I guess I'm okay with mega events potentially being about anyone.
Fair's fair the story isn't a huge part of the game - I don't mean to throw shade at DB but I don't think anyone here expects the plot to Etana Does The Enterprise to rival Best of Both Worlds - but I guess I still like to think of this as storyline-driven, and if the mega is about Etana's plot to rule the galaxy with weaponised happy endings, then okay, makes sense she's the recurring.

So to have Etana Jol is interesting in the fact that choosing her is quite the unique choice, buuuuut... I don't think she deserves to be a mega event star.
She's extremely niche and obscure, much like Kortar, but unlike in Kortar's defence, Etana isn't a mythic or culturally relevant figure. The one plus is that she adds another K'tarian to the game other than Naomi Wildman.
Even though I am not all that thrilled at her appearance, my main focus will of course be on a) is she a powerhouse for gauntlet/shuttles/voyages, b) does she have 3 skills as opposed to 2, and c) is her skill set unique, does it provide anything I don't already have that is better or more widely available?
