As much as DB disappoints me on a daily basis, I have no issue with Etana Jol being a recurring legendary, especially before any of her stats are known. I don't think that this is a very important hill to die on.
I don't mind Etana as the recurring legendary.
Even a minor character from TNG beats anything from Enterprise or Discovery IMO.
I just hope she's a good SCI character.
Giving everyone a 5/5 Picard makes it hard for newer players without him to compete in any Picard event (for example). Making it a minor character instead lessens that impact somewhat.
Plus, if all the recurring legendaries were high-value cards, why would I bother trying to obtain mediocre 1/5 characters anymore (in fact, this is a big reason why I don't)? Eventually, my Voyage crews will consist entirely of 4/5 characters from the various mega events. When that point comes, anything less than a 4/5 will become worthless (meaning the game will hardly be worth playing anymore).
That Janeway outfit from Futures End looks suspiciously like Katrine's.
Also, before you get too excited by the Pre-sage Sphere-builder, it's the rotting guy the
NX-01 found drifting at the edge of an anomaly in a test pod. NOT the sneaky female one that conned the Xindi.

This presage was consulted by the other Sphere-Builders on multiple occasions to examine alternate timelines and to gain insight on how the future would be affected by events occurring in the present. She advised the other Sphere-Builders that, due to the actions of the crew of Enterprise NX-01, the possibility of their success was quickly diminishing, leading them to take a more direct hand in attempting to destroy Enterprise. (ENT: "The Council", "Countdown", "Zero Hour")

How do you know this?
Actually, upon further analysis, the Presage was indeed the main leader. The guy I thought it was is called the Test Subject. So...
Could you resume the excitement? I find it most intriguing.
Is Pilot going to be the mega trait for all events? That's over 40 crew to unvault. Otherwise, it makes no sense to include on a galaxy.
If so, then DB do you know who STILL needs his Pilot trait???
Captain Thadiun Okona!
Not only is his vessel a single crewman: himself, but if the lines...
La Forge: "don't worry, your ship will never outlast this part"
Okona: "because of the part or the way I fly my ship?"
...don't indicate he's a pilot, I don't know what will.
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.

Not really, they're just both white.
Or whatever color that is for someone who knows more than 10 color names.
I would say the first one is more of a bone-tone and Katrine's is more of a cream-tone, but the lighting is not optimal enough to say 100%

Etana Jol has a history of manipulation and her efforts to expand Ktarian influence are well known to Starfleet. She's reappeared just in time for the beginning of the holiday-themed Mega-Event, "Presents and Futures!"
Starting on December 6 and running throughout the month, Captains will need their best Pilot crew in order to investigate strange vessels that are appearing on the outskirts of the Quadrant.

At least we don't have to have them all out by for this first event in the mega. (Fortunately, I only have eight SuperRare and higher pilots in the freezer.)
Depending on the December "daily reward" 4* you may just have given me the perfect exit from this game. No need to login all month.
We still have a star left on Doc Crusher don't we? Pretty sure I didn't miss one.
Sisko: What are you gonna learn in the next few months that you haven't already learned in the last 300 years?
Ezri Dax: Oh, how to keep from breaking into tears for no reason...

That’s the impression I got from the main announcement for the mega event. Might as well start now...
Sweet, I only have 11 to defrost. The rest are either active or I don't have them. Now I just need another 1500 merits after dropping them on crew before reading the announcement ....... Doh ...
Yes looks like Pilot trait will give bonus for the whole month so at least this week's Mountaineer Spock will give bonus for the whole month. That is progress at least from last mega. Wish there would not be so many chron events though were having lots of bonus crew does not help.
Etana Jol. Free legendary. Good. Hope she has halfway decent stats.
Chakotay. Fantastic.
Quark. Also fantastic.
Sphere Builder. Um I forget. Better do some google.
Pilot trait: Bloomin eck. That's 10 crew I need to find space for. They'll probably be useful in week 2 and 3 (assuming a Faction amd a Faction hybrid). Plus other bonus crew.
A severe headache. I'm a little busy this time of year too so that's kind of off putting. Anyway. Whatever. Nice crew for the first event. What was that sphere builder again?

This x1000000! Which would make a legendary pilots best of pack sensible, which would give me a chance to get him after chasing him for a year! Or at least add him to the portal, throw me a bone here DB.
I’m not too upset about Etana Jol, a TNG character is still more enticing to me than ENT, and her stats couldn’t possibly be worse than Minuet’s. I DO have a problem with this skirmish erasure. Four event types = different event type each week, yes? Why cut down on skirmish/expedition and double up on faction/galaxy - who asked for this??

Sphere Builder Presage was one of the main antagonist in Enterprise. They were responsible for coercing the Xindi into attacking Earth.

Thank you, thought it was, had a look and it jogged my memory. Should be a great card imo
Cadet Wesley — the whole plot of that episode is about him being part of an elite squad of pilots that tried to pull off a nearly impossible maneuver, and would have done it, except for the one who made a mistake and got killed. Wesley apparently piloted the maneuver correctly.
HMS Pinafore Data — he was singing while piloting a unique one-person scout ship.
Thadiun Okona — specifically talked about piloting his ship with Geordi in that episode.
Many of these are crew who *can* and sometimes do pilot, but are not necessarily pilots.
However, Matt_Decker makes an excellent point about Cadet Wesley Crusher. Wesley is FAR more than a casual pilot as a cadet.
I would suggest anyone in the position/seat of Helmsman/Flight Controller.
Acting Ensign Crusher
Cadet Crusher
Lt. Geordi La Forge
all sat in that seat.
Also anyone whose purpose is to pilot a shuttle with the Captain as passenger would have the pilot trait. (I'm thinking of the Coxswain tradition of the British Navy)
[Though I doubt that CAPTAIN would have an AEC piloting his personal shuttle craft]
A pilot does not risk the lives of others in a pointless show of ego. Wesley did. A cadet died. I am okay with him having no pilot trait.
So you would favor removing the pilot trait from Cadet Sito Jaxa?
Perhaps. It seems like really anyone could have pilot trait. Almost every single starfleet member flew at least a shuttle or their ship at some point during their shows. Even Picard and Voyager's EMH piloted once. I think it would help if DB defined the criteria for each of these traits.

I look at it like basic level piloting is taught to everyone (flying mainly using the crafts computers for assistance perhaps) as a part of their Starfleet training, but Pilots have been trained well beyond that and can handle multiple craft types manually, etc.
