Mad respect for you @leshy - you've made the game far mor enjoyable for me and you'll greatly missed. I wish you the best of luck on your pursuits outside the game.
@Leshy Thank you so much for all the work you did on this over the years and I can understand how you feel, IRL can get very busy and I have considered the time/effort vs enjoyment with this game lately. At the moment it's still a draw but I wanted to let you know I appreciate the work you did and hope that life gets more relaxing and that you find something new that will fire you up to use your skills the way this game and sheet has. Thanks again, LLAP

very sorry to hear you won't be maintaining the sheet anymore, I've referenced it and referred it to others countless times. thank you so much for your community contribution
Weird problem if anyone can help -- I have a script that I add in that automates my sorting of the sheet by stars, name, level (which I input into the notes column), recommendation...
For some reason, Twilight T'Pol is staying stuck to the bottom of the sheet, even though she's marked as need (and therefore should be sorting up higher with the other needs and not with the freezes).
I added a few blank rows to the bottom of the sheet thinking maybe she was sorting funny because she was the last one on the list... except when I hit run script/sort, poor T'Pol ends up at the bottom again.
@Leshy Good luck with you're future endeavors. This sheet has been an invaluable aid for newer players and will continue to do so without updates. Three cheers for Leshy!

Take a look at the ' on the name. I found that it was incorrect. Start with the hidden Stats page.

@Leshy I would like to add my thanks to this thread for your hard work in maintaining this sheet. Your work has aided hundreds, if not thousands, of players with maintaining their characters for the game. Your work is truly appreciated and your presence will be sorely missed.

@Leshy Thanks so much for this sheet! I've used it and loved it!
I do have an issue in the import - when I pull the csv over it populates the crew tab with the "short name" in column B instead of the number of stars I have. I did it again just to be sure I had imported in A1 and I had checked the replace sheet. Same thing happens - Any clue?
I may return at some point, but that could easily be in one month as it could be in six, twelve, or even not at all. As such, I will also no longer maintain this spreadsheet. It would of course be great if someone else wants to take up the glove – I would be entirely happy to share the dev version of the sheet (it has a few minor extra things to the release versions, although nothing hugely major) or to provide some pointers on how it works to anyone who wants to take over. Either mention me in this thread or send me a PM – I'll get an email notification and should be able to get back to you.
@Leshy
#1 Thank you. We all deeply appreciate the time you've given for this semi-thankless task.
#2 I'd be interested in updating the spreadsheet with new crew, even if I don't have the time to continue original feature development.
FYI, when I migrated from 3.24 to 3.5b, my copy/paste was misaligned by one row. I tracked it down to Lenora Khan. The release notes say she was introduced in 3.24, but my copy of 3.24 didn't have her. I don't know if she was added after the initial release of 3.24 without a separate release version number. or if I somehow accidentally deleted her. If anyone else encounters this, please post here. Otherwise I'll assume it was somehow deleted by accident from my copy.
Take a look at the ' on the name. I found that it was incorrect. Start with the hidden Stats page.
The apostrophe in the middle of her name shouldn't be causing her to sort at the bottom of the list though?
Edit: I've been experimenting... it seems that I can't even get the sheet to recognize and acknowledge that I might have a copy of her if I false some data on the import page. It refuses to mark as active even though formals match to the other cells (with the appropriate cell # references).
EDIT 2: I don't understand WHY it worked, but that dumb apostrophe change on the Stats page did solve it! Thanks!

No, it shouldn't because it's in the middle of her name. Ward, I suggest starting with a clean copy of the spreadsheet and recopying or importing your data in, if you can't find the source of the problem. Double check you don't have any aberrant characters at the front of her name.
FYI, Xindi Prisoner Archer changed its sort order with Xindo Insectoid Councelor when the quotes were added in 3.5b. And, relevant to Ward, the apostrophe made it go above Insectoid rather than after it. Aka. the quote sorts before letters, not after. This is also illustrated by "Dark Ages" McCoy sorting at the top of the list.
@Leshy, thank you for all you’ve done. You shouldn’t feel any need to apologize for handing your work off to someone else. We appreciate everything you’ve done.

In both cases, if you can share a copy of your sheets, I'd be happy to have a look and see if I can figure out what's going wrong.
So far, @Jordan718 and @SpukkZ have indicated that they would be interested in continuing to update the sheet. I have absolutely no preference for whomever wants to do it, and anyone is absolutely welcome to. I will PM you both the link to the Dev version, and let you sort out who wants to keep it updated
Edit: In response to @dext74 below: thanks, quickly stealth-fixed it into the Dev and 3.50b versions. Looking at DataCore, she is indeed the only T'Pol variant that uses ’ instead of '.
@Leshy big thanks for the work you've put in. Your sheet has been a massive help in keeping track of my crew and who is needed for what purpose. I echo all the above in that real life comes first. Hopefully we'll see you pop in every now and again.
@Jordan718@SpukkZ if you guys are looking to continue with this (if so, much appreciated by me and by everyone), will you keep this thread or start a new one? Do let us know so we can follow.
Whilst I won't have time to help keep it going as I'm mega busy with real life stuff (work, life, health, future career), I'd be intereted in learning more about how the new crew are added and how they're programmed in to meet whatever they are needed for. Gives me a chance to learn more and to try and improve my formula and coding knowledge
Thanks for the appreciation, everyone. That in turn is much appreciated
More appreciation here. My congratulations on keeping this going for so long. This was an awesome piece of work. And my best wishes about whatever you plan next. I hope whatever kept you busy IRL is for a happy reason or at least that something good will come out of it. If not I can only offer my sympathies.
Any chance those could be auto-filled from the datacore export? (or maybe it's due to small adjustments that could be added by the datacore owner if the changes are small and the datacore already has the data)
Thank you for creating and maintaining this resource, @Leshy . I know I and many others have used and appreciate it. Good luck with whatever you're spending your time on next!

The import holds a snapshot of what the player has atm - let's say you have a 1/5 gold at lvl 100 you have only the numbers of the 1/5. while the sheets needs also the 2/5-5/5 numbers, and a lot more - you can see that when you let the sheet display the hidden "stats" sheet.
@Leshy Thank you for all the work you've put into this. It is an invaluable resource. Would you be willing to share how you add crew to the sheet? I attempted it once during one of your mini-breaks and fubar'd the sheet.

Leshy - send me a PM - I'm too new to send you one LOL
1. Thanks so much for your work, Leshy.
2. Small bug I noticed: Douglas Pabst is not marked as a variant of Odo. Don't know how long that's been the case, but I noticed it due to next week's event. (I fixed it in my own personal version of the sheet.)
@Leshy Thanks for all your hard work on this spreadsheet. It has definitely made my Timelines life a lot more tolerable and focused. I don't have much spreadsheet talent but I hope others are willing to take up the mantle as it would be sad to see the DNA spreadsheet to fall by the wayside.
@Leshy Thank you for all the work you've put into this. It is an invaluable resource. Would you be willing to share how you add crew to the sheet? I attempted it once during one of your mini-breaks and fubar'd the sheet.
Sure!
1. Unhide the Stats sheet
2. Add a row where the new crew should alphabetically go
3. Fill in the name, details, and stats, all the way up to and including the columns Traits, (Part) Alien, and Female. This should be pretty clear.
4. Copy the formulas in the columns AX–NY down from the row above (select AX–NY in the row above, click the little bottom right corner of the selection and drag it down to the new empty row).
5. On the Crew sheet, add a new row in the same place where the new crew should go. Copy columns A–D and I–N down in the same way. Add in a new version number for the new crew.
6. (Optional) Hide the Stats sheet.
That should be pretty much all you need to do to add a new crew member to the sheet.
Leshy, I'm so sorry if I'm dragging you back into a discussion that's long been sorted. I updated to the new sheet and used the Datacore input. On the old (3.24?) sheet, I had 3-4 space/freeze recommendations. On the new sheet, I had 20-25, some of whom I know are not FFFE.
I'm thinking that the downside to the datacore input is that the sheet thinks that everyone is FE. So, if I were to freeze some of those "space/freeze" crew, I might do so in error, since that message was coming from flawed data (that my other crew is FE). Do I have that right?
Also, I know I've taken us around this block before, but I do wish there was some way of the sheet telling me that the new 1/4 I just got will never be good enough, even at FFFE, to replace my current crew, so I can safely push them out the airlock.
Hi. I added a build step to the DataCore website to generate a spreadsheet in a format that somewhat matches the DNA: http://datacore.app/structured/crew.xlsx (this will be updated whenever I push a site update with new crew)
Perhaps this will come in handy to whoever picks up the DNA ownership moving forward.

LOL, I messed up at step 2. I just put the new person at the bottom. Thank you!
