    1. Will Evolved Janeway count as a Paris variant for the event in 2 weeks? Kinda like how Tuvix counts for Neelix and Tuvok for events. @Shan @SunshineRiker

No, Evolved Janeway will not count as a variant of Paris.

    That's the right answer.

No, Evolved Janeway will not count as a variant of Paris.

    Well, that's disappointing.

Disappointing from a gameplay perspective, but makes sense given the nature of the card. Tuvix was a combination of both characters in one. Evolved Janeway is a separate lizard from lizard Paris.

It's not that I don't get it, the fused card makes no mention of Paris. It is only a bit of a precedent break. If you have to consume a Paris card to make it, it would stand to reason that there is still a "Paris" in there somewhere. But you also lose all the COM and MED skill in the fusion too, so it's not like you aren't giving up things already.

Thus far, a Zero One and Zero One One Zero event did not include One Zero in the bonus crew.

In which event were any of the Bynars featured crew? I do not see that information on the Wiki, nor do I recall such an event in the time since the cards were introduced last month. 🖖🏻

It's a bad fusion. Evolved Janeway was not a merger with Paris. She was her own evolution. They should have released evolved Janeway as a 4*, and then had the kids as the merged 5*. Then the kids could count for both.

The kids they just abandoned. Shame Janeway. They probably had heard what she did to Tuvix though and hid really well.

Ugh, I hope they were eaten. Such a stupid episode, on so many levels.

    That episode won an emmy.

    For makeup.

Plus if TNG's "The Inner Light" could only manage a Hugo award, I'm not going to put too much stock into it.

Yeah, the Academy didn't really cotton to syndicated television for a good number of years, there, sadly. Picket Fences won Best Drama Series that year and the next - PICKET FENCES - who has even bothered re-watching that nonsense, ever? Beat the seventh and finale TNG for best drama series in 1994. Ridiculous. At least TNG got a Peabody.

Might be missing something - but are there any med/sci bonuses in this? Unfrozen a few Tuckers to boost the engineering but reckon it'll be a bit Com/Sec/Dip heavy...

Only survivalist kirk gives a sci bonus there is no med option it depends if the missions are a carbon copy but I suspect they will choose 8 of the original and carbon copy them for the three factions like they did for the omega event. It will probably be mostly sec dip and eng with the odd sci and med.

Riker in the thresholds means I don’t have any need to go past 120k...or 150k to get his legendary clothing item.

That being said, even though it’s an older card and not particularly powerful, I do love Garak. He’s one of my favorite Trek characters. So, the race to 400k will be on.

Paris has a pretty solid ship skill. Guess I'm pushing this week.

I was going to threshold and out like last week, but I kinda like this new Paris, so will be pushing a little, but not enough to use up boosts.

Looks pretty solid all around, honestly. If next week is a Skirmish, he would be a great card to have.
  • Paris's ship skill is so useful I'm betting next week is a skirmish. Then again this is DB so it's possible they'd include a card with a good ship skill on a non skirmish event. We'll see

Have they ever actually included a card with a good ship skill in a skirmish event?

Was Enemy Lines Sisko introduced for a skirmish event? I can't remember. His ship skill is outstanding. I'm still sad I didn't place high enough to get him.

He was, but that was still under the old system where the 5* event crew was given out as a reward during the same week that they were bonus crew, so while he was bonus crew, anyone not buying packs wouldn't have had him during the actual skirmish event. Also, that was the very first skirmish event. I assume after the first one they realized it would be funnier if all skirmish bonus crew had mediocre to terrible ship skills.

Oh that's right, was before the ranked rewards change. He's quite serviceable. Picard wasn't bad either. Georgiou came the week before one and then, of course, She who shall not be named.

If Month of Hell is indeed coming up, i’d like the mega 5* to look something like this:

    Year of Hell Janeway

    Rarity: 5*
    Skills: Command: 74 Security: 54 Science: 36

Where is his ship ability listed? I can't seem to find it.

Edit: Never mind, I found it.

I haven’t burned hard in a Faction event for a while, so I have nearly 200 3* time boosts sitting around. Might as well use a few to get Garak, as often as Garaks seem to be useful in events and as few variants as we have.

Just curious but shouldn’t Paris have the saboteur trait.

That'd be B.A. We haven't had much in the way of Janeway this past year.
If toon Peccard can be a mega recurring legendary then so can a hardened Janeway of Hell.

Stocked up as well. Glad I took a break last event to ramp up this weeks bonus crew.

And I am getting more Cardassian Trait needs in my voyages as of late. Been having to go deep into my 4*s to satisfy them. Could use another 5* if this keeps up.

But there is a faction winner bonus this time (as it says in the event notes)? Even though it's a re-run?

Agreed, even with two bonus crew in a two slot shuttle the % is low. Kind of weird a bunch of the two shuttle missions have sci or med when I do not know of any sci or med bonus crew. Gonna keep going though. Lots of shuttle missions to choose from. Hopefully I will get the 400k.
