    If everyone is great then no one is great. There has to be some contrast in the game. She's actually not terrible, just more reliant on stars than most crew.

    I understand what you are saying, but she was a highly anticipated crew, with multiple skills in the first episode. She was very skilled engineer, and a self-trained and highly skilled medic. She had other skills like sci/sec/dip.

    To give this crew only two skills just seems perverse to me.

    I figure it all works out. I'll use my citations on Xindi Caregiver Archer or whatever he is called.

    I am sure this is not the last variant we will see of Jett Reno especially seeing as we have 2 Landrys and 3 L’Rells. We will eventually get the Reno from S2 E1 that everyone wants.

    If Neelix can make some nutrional supplements and have a good medical skill then it is ridiculous for a person who kept a dozen critically injured patients alive by herself for 10 months has no medical skill regardless of which episode she is pulled from. Even the Doctor from Voyager who had the most triage skills of any Trek doctor did not have as good a success rate with his patients.

    Although her quote was, "the body is just another machine" (paraphrasing), so maybe she feels her "Medical" skills are actually still Engineering skills.

    No Medical? She should have 1200+ Immortalized on Med/Eng without Bonuses, plus a Science or Security Tertiary.

    Want to discourage players who have been going wild requesting her forever? Take forever to release her, then get her wrong.....

    Also, who is the 2* in the Threshold? All I got is a blank at 45 & 1250

    Injured Torres and she is very much resembling Peter Griffin's knee injury

    She might be a hilarious centerpiece for some interesting Bridge Crews.....

    ...that is, if she's not hiding like a coupla others are lol.

    I think we can infer she was reading medical information.

    I was disappointed at which variation of Reno was introduced for this event, but the skills seem to match. I understand being disappointed over which Reno we're getting, but not the skills that go with this particular variation. I will say that this Reno seems better suited for a 4* variant, with Stranded Reno more suited for a 3-skill (eng/med and sci or sec) 5* variant.
  • I don't know what the big hoopla is for Janet Reno. She's got two skills, plenty of other event cards have two skills. Get her or don't, no need to chastise DB over this.
    No, chastise the players instead as you are doing.

    Exactly right!!! So what is she is from an episode AFTER she proved she is highly Medically Skilled? Those Skills should still be there, unless there was a reason she lost them, which I do not remember ever being said in any episode......

    Even if "Non-Stranded Jett Reno" does not have Med Primary, even a Tertiary of around 500 Immo'ed, with a decent Roll would have satisfied her fans!!!!!

    hypothetical : Would Tony Stark have the Medical skill, just because, this one time, he invented an arc reactor, to keep shards away from his heart? Or would you determine, he's predominantly, an ENG SCI kinda character?

    But, Tony Stark did not perform heart surgery. He used a magnet to keep metal shrapnel {Although it technically wasn't really, because Shrapnel was a particular thing, and then became the "Kleenex" or "Vaseline" of metal fragments from an explosion.}

    Jett Reno is introduced doing BRAIN SURGERY on one of the twelve ICU patients she had kept alive for over ten Months of Hell.

    To expect them to most likely use the version of her that best fit the Mega was crazy on our part, I guess.

    I think since she was two Skill instead of three, both Skills should have at least broken 1200 Immo'ed, BTW.

    I kind of agree, but with a twist. The episode from which the image is taken she displays more CMD qualities. She takes "charge" of the situation (double entendre for those who haven't seen it) and saves the crew from danger.

    My only point is that she should have a third skill. It should be MED, but could be CMD. An argument could even be made for SEC. I've seen an argument for DIP, but I think that's a stretch.

    DB is a company selling a product. The customers tell a company what they like and do not like. What they will buy and what they will not buy. It helps the customers to get the product that they want and for the company to get the money that it wants. Many of us would have bought the Jett Reno product if it had been Eng-Med. The product was not what the customers expected it to be nor what they desired it to be and so we are letting the company know.

    Further, do not forget the other purpose of any game forum. It is not just for communication to the company but a release valve for frustration. By releasing that frustration in a forum the players are able to let it go and then continue to play the game. Without such an outlet players would stop spending and quit which would be far more negative to the company than a few complaints online. DB understands this and as such it created a forum to facilitate the many purposes of a forum including being a release valve. It is why DB allows complaint threads to stay open so that players can vent and keep playing. Criticizing players for doing this is deleterious to the process and only serves to lengthen a complaint thread not shorten it.

    I, personally, have never had to vent about a problem that frustrated me. But, if I ever do, I would most likely vent here......

    Not after building the arc reactor. But after the Extremis surgery, yes, he would have medical knowledge and it would be a permanent part of his skill set. For example, his medical spray in his nano-armor in Infinity War/End Game.

    I assume that was sarcasm?! Hard to tell on a forum.

    Just out of interest - with you having no internet connection at home, requiring trips to the library to play this game - how did you get to view Disco on the streaming services? Not being snarky. Just wondering if I can save a few quid by watching the new Picard show down at my local library. :)

    I got the CBS All Access one week Pass. When it ran out, and I cancelled, they gave me THREE FREE MONTHS to try to get me to stay. I had a tablet at home. My last xFinity WiFi Pass ran out one week after the Season Finale.

    {I was able to get WiFi at home for a spell with tax return.}

    Yeah, I was kind of kidding about the venting thing. I may have vented within the past week......
