Yes, the trailer looks good and I think it's perfectly fine to play on nostalgia for this kind of show (also, Seven will be in it ).
I agree. Also that Seven is a very pleasant surprise. Jeri at first didn´t want to play the role for fear of being "pigeonholed". I love that she now plays her again. Also in comparison to some other cards we have way too less legendary Seven versions in the game imho. So more to come now which is a further bonus...
I wonder if she had a revelation much like Patrick Stewart had some years back (during his interview with Bill Shatner for The Captains documentary), where he realized that it was okay to be so closely associated with his character rather than try and keep distance from it.

Could be one aspect. Also since then she has been in quite a few shows, left her mark with many different characters. Jeri has proven that she is "not only" Seven. So she probably feels more free now to play her again...

I agree with this, for I thought she played an excellent femme fatale in the Amazon Prime series “Bosch”. 🖖🏻

Looks interesting. TNG's best villains were the Borg, it seems "Picard" revolves around that continued story arc. I have one concern with entertainment now (last 10 years and counting) and that is excessive pandering, virtue signaling, and preaching about how crappy we are. If that is all over the place in Picard, I'm out. If not, warp speed ahead.
I liked how his hard nosed attitude clashed with Riker. And Ronnie Cox is a great actor. Also there were lots of one shot characters that had appeal AMD could be brought back.

Ronnie Cox is excellent at playing characters that are easy to hate. Jellico, that jerk OCP executive from Robocop, Senator Kinsey from SG-1...I could be on board with Picard clashing with an even more self-assured Admiral Jellico.
I think i saw Shinzon in there, but dont quote me on that.
I thought I saw something somewhere about Tom Hardy being involved. At the least, probably be flashbacks. But, Star Trek is kind of like comic books. Sometimes people are only mostly dead.....

The fact that he was probably the most military officer we ever see in the Federation's military?
Except for Admiral Leyton, who unsuccessfully tried to organize a coup against the Federation President. He was successful on Babylon 5 under the guise of General Hague......... sorry I had to.......

Leading a coup against the legally recognized government might not make him the most military officer in the Federation military. The military executes orders, they do not overthrow the government. or try to.

Apparently Hugh from TNG is heavily involved too... My guess is Seven and Hugh have something to do with the blue Borg ship.... A ship of ex-drones perhaps?
Am i just getting old or do his crewmembers look too young, like hipster kids? Come on we don't need teenage starfleet officers becoming the admiral's crew...

Unfortunately Barry Jenner who played Admiral Ross passed away a couple years ago, so Ross will likely not be making an appearance.
easter egg....
which would be a good place for Picard to visit as a place of "sacrifice".... hmm...

I think that the blue part is some kind of Starfleet force field.
Hey look, you can't just keep packing more upgrades in without making the case bigger.
Why Jellico? What did you like about him?

Romulan, actually. Looks like the ships from earlier in the trailer and those smaller ones are their take on Warbirds.
Was that a TACTICAL FUSION CUBE?!?!?
