Apparently Hugh from TNG is heavily involved too... My guess is Seven and Hugh have something to do with the blue Borg ship.... A ship of ex-drones perhaps?
Sounds very Unimatrix Zero.
I can see Seven being involved in a way of giving Picard some perspective. I can imagine him doing a "nobody understands the Borg as I do" speech and someone being like "errrr, glad you said that mate..."
The fact that he was probably the most military officer we ever see in the Federation's military?
Except for Admiral Leyton, who unsuccessfully tried to organize a coup against the Federation President. He was successful on Babylon 5 under the guise of General Hague......... sorry I had to.......
Leading a coup against the legally recognized government might not make him the most military officer in the Federation military. The military executes orders, they do not overthrow the government. or try to.
It was a joke...... the actor played guest roles on both shows...... nevermind lol

No worries my friend. Guess you have to be a Babylon 5 fan to get the joke......

I saw most episodes once. A few more than once. My cable system sucked at the time it was current.

I liked how his hard nosed attitude clashed with Riker. And Ronnie Cox is a great actor. Also there were lots of one shot characters that had appeal AMD could be brought back.
Interesting. I did not think Riker or Jellico came off well in that episode. Jellico was too rigid and dismissive of others and Riker refused to even try to do what Jellico wanted. Maybe if Jellico had had a British accent it would have helped. It is interesting that Riker was very dismissive and very much a Jellico himself to Commander Shelby. I would really like a Shelby in game. We could have a Jellico too but he would likely be boring Command-Security. Could not give him Diplomacy.
Storyline seems to revolve around Romulans experimenting with Borg tech. I suspect the main character is actually a new super engineered borg queen (with more human-y traits) and that shes been separated from the collective for too long (hence memory loss) but still has a residual memory/feeling that Locutus will keep her safe.

As this is an Amazon Original Series... DB will not have a license for it, will they?
It's a CBS All Access series just like Discovery is so DB should have the license.
Oh ok, thanks. Around here we will only have legal access via Amazon.

Amazon Prime has the non-US/Canada rights, in the same way that Netflix has the Discovery rights in the rest of the world. CBS All Access owns it and will air it in the US. I would assume DB will have the rights.

So Amazon is actually fibbing when they claim it will be an "Amazon Original Series" which in my understanding are series they produce for themselves. But after all I do not care anyway, I was just curious whether we may see a new Seven or not. I will love to.

Netflix does the same with Discovery (and with every series that they have the world rights).
I grew up with TNG, so I am stoked about this new series!
The idea of bringing back characters like Hugh, Seven, Data and likely others is just icing on the cake.
There was talk around the time DS9 ended that they would eventually do a tv-movie, but it never materialized. Maybe the Picard show can give us a glimpse into the fate of Sisko… perhaps that is hoping for too much.

It seems most streaming sites do this (I've noticed it with Crave in Canada as well). I suppose they can claim this because the deal they struck helps pay for the show's production, even if they aren't involved directly. IIRC, the Netflix deal was so lucrative that it covered the entire cost of Discovery's first season. CBS literally had nothing to lose.

In the DS9 documentary, What We Left Behind, the writers and producers of DS9 worked out what Season 8 could look like. Season 8 taking place twenty years after Season 7. Not sure if it is a spoiler or not as Season 8 is unlikely to ever exist but you can check out this link to read it.
I highly recommend everyone watch the DS9 documentary, What We Left Behind. It is great and gives some amazing insight into the show and the cast. It even features a singing quartet of the actors that played Damar, Weyoun, Quark and Rom. You can purchase it online or watch clips of it on youtube.
This is quite an interesting read and how the series would/could play out. I was never a fan of the Romulans, but I may have to revisit their interactions so I can appreciate the new series even more. MORE TREK!!!!!
It has been suggested that the scene with Data might actually be a holodeck program. Data himself might not actually be back in physical form, as a whole.

Spiner seemed deliberately vague when describing his participation in the season. I would be very okay with this approach, and tbh I think I would prefer it to having B4 running around pretending to be Data.

Eh, just give us Data. Strain canon, break canon for all I care. Just give me Data. Though Brent Spiner is a great actor, if I cannot have Data why not allow him a new character like how Jeffrey Combs got to do many different ones. It would have to be some sort of alien though as we know what Brent Spiner looks like without makeup.

you're welcome.
I hope so. All we ever got to see were Fan creations and maybe a few early design sketches? And maybe a book cover?
I wonder how Johnathon Frakes steps over the back of a director's chair?
