woohoo another 4* jury rigger, thank you Shan and DB!! i was two stars on Kasidy away from finally finishing that collection but Scotty can take care of it instead now, is this why he's scared...?

Laborer Kirk (New) - this crew will be featured event crew in the event starting on 12/26.
Fully Fused Fully Equipped Level 100 Skills: CMD 1013 (107-294), DIP 496 (65-151), ENG 1292 (210-476)
Traits: Human, Federation, Starfleet, Jury Rigger, Resourceful, Romantic, Thief, Desperate
That is some serious base ENG. Funny, I seem to remember Spock doing the engineering in that episode....
And what exactly did he jury rig...? Time?
Here we see Spock engineering his tricorder to review the history he recorded from the Guardian, and in the next frame we see Kirk engineering himself a bowl of soup and jury rigging a sammich
Founding ADM - PoF family of fleets (POF, POF2 & POF3) - Dear TP: Non sequitur. Your facts are uncoordinated.

Yeah, I was stunned to see Jury Rigger in Kirk's trait list. Nothing he did in that episode was reflective of jury rigging. Spock, absolutely, but not Kirk. The rest of his traits are spot-on.
In fact, as much as I am happy to add 2 ENG crew for the final faction event (Kirk, Scotty), I'm not sure Kirk should have been ENG primary for this variant either. He spent the episode trying to figure out how to correct history, while (as usual) falling in love with someone he shouldn't. DIP, yes. CMD, sure (he was in charge after all, and he directed Spock's efforts to determine how to fix the timeline). No SEC, no MED. I would have opted for SCI as a tertiary - at least Kirk had some grasp of what the Guardian had done and how the timeline needed to be restored.
I just want it on record when DB revokes Laborer Kirk's Jury Rigger trait that I had nothing to do with it.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Remember when people complained so much about Seçtion 31 Janeway having the Section 31 Trait that they removed the Trait literally right before it was a Bonus Trait in an Event?
😠😠😠😠😠

Yeah good job nitpicky forum users for ruining crew's most useful traits! Please stop it!

Is it because Scotty is the last Jury Rigger they need? Are they just pulling the ladder up behind them so it's hard for the next person to climb?

Yep, my bad this time! Except... uh, Hi DB. That other Ishmael above Travis' comment is an imposter. You should ignore him. He has no idea what he's saying.

I can't speak for anyone who's argued against traits, as I've never done that (heck, I've never even argued for them, so far as I can remember), but Scotty might very well be the last Jury Rigger lots of players would need.
Prior to this weekend, there were sixteen Jury Riggers which were 4* crew, three 3* crew, four 2* crew, and one 1* crew. That's 24 of the 25 total needed to complete the collection, and the new Scotty makes 25/25. So even if you never immortalized a Legendary, you could easily max out this collection just from fairly easily-obtainable crew.

Your 902 SRs are worth ~286K vp. So... just shy of 700K total. FWIW.
I went a little past that (to make an even number of SR's). I'm not counting out last minute builds. Kirk + holidays are variables that have me uncertain.
#177 for me. I think this was the first event I've played to soothe frustration. It didn't help all that much, though in fairness, nothing else has the last week, either.
I stopped at 130k as I expected the crowd to go crazy over Kirk and rather completed some collections for the stat bonuses with my chrons.
Maybe I am lucky and can pull Kirk out of the wrap-up-packs.

Congrats on those that went on and got Kirk.
