A new collection is always appreciated, although i think the could have added a little better rewards to it(i don t mean stats boost or anything).
I just don t think many will be like, oh i use a cite(or pack pulls) to 4/4 AoS Troi or going after a 5/5 AoS Worf just because they get like (f.e. 300 chrons from the collection).

Agreed, if Age Of Sail Picard was a collection reward we'd be having a different chat right now
I don't really have any issues with the collections, but I have no reason to push for them, either. (Except the stat-boosting one.) It is nice to get a surprise bonus when I naturally hit a new collection tier, but I will never use resources just because it is a collection crew. I don't personally see the value. I am happy that others are happy.
Everything new is appreciated! I do not mind the rewards too much.

I have to agree with you there, David. I was wondering why there wasn't an Age of Sail collection since it would be such a natural. Now there is! Can't say I'm happy but I'm definitely not sad. Really makes no difference to me.
I find it interesting that before everybody was complaining that there were no new collections ... and now that there is folk are complaining that the new collection isn't up to their high standards. Oh well, the nature of the beast I guess.
Remember: it's just a game, not a matter of life and death!
This AoS collection requires a large proportion of legends. In my mind, it would be appropriate to have a better reward for finishing it than a 10 pull. It's a big investment to add that many crew citations. The jury rigger collection that used to require some (non mega recurring) legends, has a much better reward with permanent stats and requires no legends at all anymore. Seems skewed to me.
Count me in the group that thinks this collection is a good addition to the game ... and is hoping for more!
1. Not really fussed about the rewards, I like to aim to complete them no matter what reward is given really.
2. Nice to see that the collection is not "set in stone" and that over time DB can still add in the "missing" crew ... I have never seen the episode so no idea who that would be, except for the oft mentioned Picard.
3. The crew in this collection are not the absolute worst to throw citations onto (Worf good, Data decent, Riker average and Crusher, though past her prime is not that bad) ... compare with the Niners collection, ouch, or Chaotica or Western ... so that's a good bit of incentive to work on it.
On a personal front, I'm super pleased this was the collection, as later today I'll pick up the missing crew (Troi) and by end next week I should have 4 or 5 immortalised (La Forge and Crusher already immortalised, Data on his way, Troi too and Riker and Worf at 1/5 ... with Honor for 4 citations by that time) ... the only downside is that I was planning on citing up Bashir and Garak, after mega event pack pulls, to complete that collection ... ah well, first world problems.
Looks like:
Data
La Forge
Worf
Crusher
Troi
Picard
Riker
The rest are Holodeck Images, I guess. "Age of Sail Helmsman" {About 1:50 & 5:00 in video} might be a cool addition, after Picard.......
I'd be down with a Timelines Originals Age of Sail Barclay. I'd totally buy that he was supposed to attend the ceremony but went into the wrong holodeck and just stayed there.

I like your thinking. I'd love to see the rest of the TNG cast as well, even if they weren't around for the canon timeline. Cabin Boy Wesley, Buccaneer Ro Laren, Governor Pulaski, Blackbeard Gowron...

Blackbeard Gowron is the non-canonical crew member I had no idea I needed in my life. You're next level, @Kaitee.
2) Everyone always suspects new collections. If we got even a tenth of the "suspected" collections, we'd be up to our ears in them.
3) The best Worf variant is only half-good. Which is to say, not at all. Especially for established rosters.
I'm usually quick to flip the table when I see something boring or wrong for whatever reason, but Governor Worf is quite good and Age of Sail even better. No, you don't need hundreds of cmd/dip/sec crew but you do need a handful and both cards check all the boxes: excellent event chances, good voyagers and you can even use Governor in the arena or during skirmishes, while Age of Sail trades that for a slightly more valuable skill order (sec primaries aren't that common). The downside is that we're never getting any of these in reruns so you've got to pay full price for both of them but if you have to cite some cmd/sec/dip crew to take your voyages to the next level you may as well cite one of these.
That being said, you're getting quite a lot of undeserved heat because it's true that Worf could use some variants with more creative skill sets, but it's the internet and there are always a few people who greatly enjoy flaming others because of their opinions or because they have nothing to bring to the conversation so better ignore them and move on. Your crew quarters are fine.

Ditto, I'm not in awe of the 200 chrons rewards but I like it that way. Small collections that don't grow over time are necessarily paid for and the game has enough pay to win as it is.

I don't want to make too many assumptions about how long people have played. But, can we find ground between experienced players groaning when every new card isn't built to make what they have obsolete, and people thinking every character should have a variant for every skill?
I'm not saying we need to have a party for every new card. I get that on a basic level it's a numbers game. But, every new card can't be worth a party. And while there is a part of me that likes the idea of everything having a varient for every skill, I think it's a bit silly.
The worst part if you are a new player is trying to like what you have when experienced players are constantly telling them that everything is completely worthless. When I started, everytime I told some one about card they would just tell me to throw it out the airlock because it sucked and wasn't the best. I don't bother telling people what I pulled and I'm a lot happier with want I have. Every card is a step to better cards. Some cards are vanity cards. Every new card shouldn't put everything before it to shame.
@Exanimus
I like your post (well written) and really like the way you think! (since it reflects my basic opinion too)
(but I'd watch out ... they might put together a lynchin' party ... in your honor LOL)
Encore!

Well, that kills my dream of a party for Ship’s Counselor Worf. Now, we’ll never get to see the war-hardened Klingon with a secret soft side... and a deep love of knitting. 😔. Aside from that sobering truth, your post is spot on.

Agreed, Worf could use some variations with differing skills. As someone who made it through the academy, I’m sure he has enough base knowledge in other fields to have engineering or science as a third skill. Heck, maybe even a lower secondary skill (Worf did design a new torpedo guidance system of the Enterprise-D at one point amongst other things). 🙂
Further, whilst others certainly can “fan the flames” with snarky comments, the OP gives out some snark as well. Mocking someone’s reply to your vague statement via mimicked structure (1...2...3) or “laughing” you way out of a dead end conversation, will attract some heat. And, it’s the Forums. I’m not making a PBS public service announcement that an “eye for an eye leads to a blind world”, but it’s the Forums and many of us are running with scissors. 😉 If you make a vague statement, be prepared for others to question or refute it. After all, you posted it.
Beyond that, enjoy the game, have fun, and avoid slick surfaces.

There are 80 SEC primary golds vs 73 CMD primary.
58 SEC primary 3-skill golds and 58 CMD primary 3-skill golds.
30 SEC primary CMD/DIP/SEC golds and 30 CMD primary CMD/DIP/SEC golds.
Interesting, I was under the impression that it was on the rarer side, might be personal bias.
