BEHOLD! Birthday Calendar

edited July 2020 in The Bridge
Since the birthday Beholds seem to be a thing now, I thought it might be of interest to see the calendar of key figures. I've included some key recurring cast members (Marc Alaimo, Whoopi Goldberg, Andrew J. Robinson, etc.). In some cases, actors played other roles aside from their primary ones. These are noted as "Other", unless that character already exists in the game. I have also included anniversary dates for the series and movies, in case that should become a thing. Also, keep in mind this point from Shan:

I guess I'll have to save some dilithium for FEB-MAR-APR 2021

The ones with 5* crew I don't have and would plunk down 1500 dilithium to acquire, provided I don't luck into them first:

7/13 Patrick Stewart - Sinister Picard
7/26 Nana Visitor - Kay Eaton Kira, whom I'm probably not going to bother chasing next week
10/2 Avery Brooks - Enemy Lines Sisko, Ishan Chaye Sisko (I'd pick Enemy Lines if both were choices)
12/9 Michael Dorn - Mirror Regent Worf, Niners Worf (I'd pick Niners if both were choices)
12/27 Wilson Cruz - Mycelial Culber

Yeah, I know the Worfs are weak. I don't care. I think I had Regent in one behold way back in 2016, and I picked the Changeling Founder because at that time, she was literally the only one in the entire game who could clear one locked node. I have never to my recollection had another crack at him. He's the only Mirror DS9 I don't have. Likewise, Niners Worf is the only Niner I don't have. Plus, I just love Worf. After Odo, he's probably my favorite Trek character. I don't think Michael Dorn gets enough credit for how wonderfully he played Worf.

July 7 ought to be celebrated with a new avatar image of the entire galaxy in honor of Vaughn Armstrong, who played at least one character of so many races (Klingon, Human, Romulan, Hirogen, Borg, Vidiian, Cardassian, and others) he is essentially a one-man galaxy!

The fact that we still only have two of his characters, one of which is a virtually useless 2*, is borderline criminal.

    Great post!

As it's coming up soon, I submit the great Suzie Plakson - June 3 - (Selar, K'ehleyr: TNG, Female Q: VOY, Tarah: ENT).

Added both! I omitted Suzie Plakson because at one stage, I was filtering out actors who didn't have at least two 5* crew because anything less seemed like a pointless behold. By the end, I figured there was no point screening out anyone since they could easily have those by time their next birthday rolls around. Just kinda forgot to go back and include her after I made that decision.
I'd like to see a gauntlet K'ehleyr, personally:

    tumblr_inline_nn0n6bN5RR1snejl3_500.gif

And get this - she gets MED for being a caregiver and CMD and SEC for being an Ambassador and a bad*** in general. Gimme that COM/MED/SEC!

I would not have come up with this on my own and don't recall anyone else pitching this, but now that you've said it, I think it's a fantastic idea!

One mini-Skirmish per week would work nicely to defray those. ;)

These are good catches for something like IMDb but extraneous for the purpose of this list. This is to outline which crew could turn up in a birthday behold. There's zero chance whatsoever of the computer being added to the game. Any archival footage used is not going to give us a different card than one based on the original appearance. In the case of "The Cage" footage used in DSC "If Memory Serves", Away Team Number One is the same in the original TOS episode as she is in DSC.

Likewise, Koloth is the same in "Trials and Tribble-ations" as in "The Trouble with Tribbles" so I wouldn't count that for DS9. Dahar Master Koloth, though, is specific to "Blood Oath", so that would. That reminds me, I overlooked William Campbell. I would be highly tempted by a birthday behold in which I could finally snag Trelane.

I have updated James Doohan to include TAS crew he voiced that have been added already, and who could therefore appear in a Behold. These include:

    5* Commander Ari bn Bem
    5* Commodore Robert April
    4* Aleek-Om
    4* Commander Thelin
    4* Lieutenant Arex Na Eth
    4* Lucien

I wonder how a birthday behold for him that included, say, Commander Ari bn Bem, Commodore Robert April, and Tribble Herder Scotty would go over.

I hope this will not be a thing. Apart from TAS being... well... TAS, voices have zero meaning to the rest of the world if they watch the series localized.

I would not even recognize Shatner's or Stewart's voices.

I want a Dr. Stavos Keniclius
  • I checked the age of a few actors and if that's the case with the milestone birthdays, then it doesn't look like we'll see many of these packs over the next 12 months :(
The only one I found is Tig Notaro turning 50 next year.

And I'm a bit sad now, that these packs were introduced a couple of weeks after Kate Mulgrew's 65th birthday

My primary objective for compiling this list was to while away some insomnia. My secondary was that while I dig the birthday behold format, I dread a glut of "Is it time for [name]'s birthday yet?" threads and hoped to preempt at least some of those. I dunno how anyone else took it, but I looked at it as "When Shouldn't I Even Daydream About This Thing?" rather than "When Should This Happen?" I like to be orderly about my daydreaming, you see.

(Also, since I'm sure the devs are wondering, mine is 1 December and I'll be sure to get them a wishlist by Thanksgiving.)
