I've always been one to take note of the schedule it's a big part of my game one thing occurs to I think the best schedule would be something like:

Dahj is already quite a useful addition to the game, Grandma Kes has an interesting skill set.
We also don't know what the story line will be, I think it's a bit premature to get wholly beat up over the mega event before it even starts.

I'm just surprised we're getting a character played by a child. I've often seen it said here that they weren't allowed to/wouldn't do that.
I have never seen DB or TP say that. Unless I missed them saying it I think it is just conjecture. Any child actor or actress from anything but Discovery or Picard would be an adult now and able to enter an agreement to have their likeness used.

I have Evolved Janeway immortal, but if I didn't I would appreciate this event a lot. I still think it will be great for those who don't have her or want to add a star on her.
As for only one faction event, factions are my favorite events, but I seem to be in the minority there, so I guess they listened to the feedback.
It's a bit boring to have the faction event in the first week, but on the other hand it means that it might be less of a bloodbath, without the bonus crew from the whole mega (assuming that the new crew will have bonus traits).
Will cite up Suspira if I don't get a 5th copy through the end-of-mega packs ... they will have my #2 CMD base, but other than that, not an exciting card at all.
I wouldn't mind a copy of Dajh ... but I don't think I'll put in the citations to immortalise her (unless I get really lick with end-of packs) ... I'd rather put those on crew I actually like (i.e. collection crew like Aviator Yar).
Personally I had good hopes for this Mega, Warp Theorist and Caregiver traits are some of the lesser frequent traits so an event that could expand that pool is of interest to me as perhaps many other players. Having the faction event first makes the mega a little underwhelming because their use for other events is limited. That being said this will hopefully be a means to an end in a future event where it these traits are used again somewhere further down the road.

Yes, Suspiria hasn t a decent voyages stats, but Top 10 CMD base skill is still not horrible at all. 🤗
Will you be citing her up?
Of course! I ll cite her up to 2/5 immediatly once i get her.

game as they wish.
We‘ ve been spoiled with great stats Mega crew over the past 12 months, but for sure Suspiria isn t a weak or even close to „Minuet“ crew. Do you really expect TP is giving away the best new stats crew for „free“ 4/5 everytime?
I don't expect every legendary or every mega event reoccurring legendary to be great. But what I told my fleet is that they front loaded the bad ones this time. Base stats only matter to me if the card has future event potential. Susperia will be lucky to see one faction event per year, so her base has no value to my main account. My alt will be lucky to have her, though. I probably won't cite her on my alt though, as it's f2p and I would rather use citations differently.
With Linnis Paris being decidedly weak and Susperia being quite boring and Dahj having little event potential, like the other two, well... I probably won't do recaps this time. I'll get Dahj, just in case the other two legendaries change my mind, but I have to say that this one is off to an uninspiring start.
I do like the skirmishes though. I'll be farmimg a lot, especially with those new ship battle features. I'm not completely unenthusiastic.

My understanding has always been that it's more of an editorial choice than a rights choice - what skills would a child really have? Why are they piloting a starship/going on away missions? Why are they in a fight to the death with Locutus?

I haven't done the math on SEC/SCI, but it doesn't look that impressive. Am I missing something that makes her a beast?
By my calculation: #16 Overall Voyager, #2 SEC/SCI Voyager, #1 SEC/SCI Shuttle, #8 SEC Base, #1 SEC/SCI/CMD voyage combo.
She should be a solid addition for most captains, with a decent amount of event potential if they go the "all crew from Picard" approach.
Good to know. My only concern is with the past 2 megas having random traits, I wonder if we're done with "all PIC/DIS" as mega crew. If you remove future mega event potential, her usefulness drops significantly even with those voyage stats.
The Disco crew count is so large that a mega event where they all count as bonus crew would be too ridiculous...the last one was bad enough. The total number of PIC crew, however, is still quite small by comparison - it’s probably safe to assume that they will all have bonuses when the inevitable mega comes around to help launch season 2.

This mega could have been Voyager bridge crew just like the TOS mega. Instead we got Caregiver and Warp Theorist. The only thing it's safe to assume is that we can't predict what WRG will do for a future mega.

That’s true - I thought that approach worked great (though I loved that mega so much I freely admit I could be biased). Then again, maybe the reason Warp Theorist is included alongside caregiver will become more obvious as the month goes on...

I'm not surprised they didn't go all Voyager, because that didn't really fit the theme of the mega we voted for (tbh I was more surprised that they did the all-TOS bridge crew). Caregiver fits well enough with the themes of "Before and After" - it's really just the Warp Theorist that came out of left field, but I'm assuming (hoping?) it'll make sense when we read the story.
Considering Dahj and Kes both have Botanist, I'm wondering if they were initially going to use that trait but decided against it at the last minute. Before yesterday, there were 9 crew with that trait, putting it more or less even with Warp Theorist. It also would've given all versions of Kes a month-long bonus.

Other than the new Kes, where are the ENG/DIP crew for all these shuttles? I'm not finding any bonus crew on my roster.
Pretty limited, here are the Top 5:
With the Rozhenkos at only 2/5*, my Cochrane and DIP crew without ENG have been filing those slots. I’m surprised there are so many, given the dearth of options beyond Kes.
Ouch, Cochrane is the only one of those I have, besides my ten minutes old new Kes. Guess my instincts were right to work on him today!
I'll cite Suspiria, because:
A) My roster isn't that deep and she'll be useful to me for a while. I have SIX immortal legendary crew with Suspiria as my likely seventh and maybe Professor Sato not far behind as eighth. I have begun a streak of getting the Mega crew immortalized by the end of the mega- Garth, Picard, Soji- and will try to keep it going.
Off I go to the grind.

Sometimes us advanced players fail to clarify that we're coming from the perspective of having super deep crews, and that definitely informs our opinions. In my case, I already have Kahless and Garth of Izar with the exact same skillset immortalized, plus another half dozen or so golds who all have the same skills and better or similar Voyage totals.

This is absolutely true. Personally, I have 4/5 Emperor Georgiou, 5/5 Garth of Izar, and 5/5 Polywater Yar with that have the same skill order. Not citing a recurring legendary is a luxury. It's one of those milestones like your first fully fused SR behold. This will be a first for me, unless I happen to change my mind about recap packs and pull Susperia.
I have the Garth immortalized, but with her immortalized and paired with High Roller Sisko (also immo), I should be set in that area for a bit.
My super six are: Captain Spock, High Roller Sisko, Garth of Izar, Picard and Number One, Determined Janeway, and Soji. Professor Sato, Q as God, and Timekeeper Tenavik aren't too far out either. Med was my weak skill before Soji and McCoy. Now, it is Eng.
Det. Janeway gives me a solid top pick, but my number 2 is Seven in Silver 2/5* FE. Liaison Torres immortalized is still my #11 for ENG.

Seven is a great investment for shuttles (and should give you a tonne of help in faction events since she has a bunch of good traits, plus is a variant of a series regular on two shows).
What other gold engineers do you have? Seven's great, but a three skill crew will always give you more bang for your buck if you're looking to improve your Voyages.

My best choices for gold engineers, 3 skill, would be Proto. Barclay at 80 and Queen Po at 63. Both are 5/5 and just need leveled. They haven't been in events lately, so I haven't focused on them in a while. Would like someone with 1000+ base to bridge the Seven and the Janeway.

Both are fantastic and I would strongly recommend pushing them to 100. Even if they aren't in events, the time they'll add to your Voyages and the improvement they'll give you on your shuttles will help bring you more chrons and basic equipment which will, in turn, make you more able to compete in events.

I'll take a look at the two and see if I can do a little work on them now to start nudging them up. I need the ENG boost. I manage to hit eight hrs on voyages once or twice a week. The one I have out now might do it, and my best crew are on shuttles!

Not to complain or fantasize but in my ideal situation i’d say Grandma Kes as the reoccurring 5* (same skills - nice combo), Linnis would be Med/Sci/Dip to make her more worthwhile and Suspiria could be a 5* in the event with Sec/Med/Com or Sec/Med/Sci or whatever.
Anyways, still hoping for a Doctor Van Gogh med/eng/sci and Captain Chakotay com/dip/sci later this month! 🖖

Why is this one so competitive? I'm running thru so many reducers on this one and extra shuttle tokens. I've also failed higher than normal 90%+ shuttles.

Imprinted Archer is serving me well.
I think one of the Cochranes is serving for me. Phoenix? 🤔
I'll take a look at the two and see if I can do a little work on them now to start nudging them up. I need the ENG boost. I manage to hit eight hrs on voyages once or twice a week. The one I have out now might do it, and my best crew are on shuttles!
Anyways, still hoping for a Doctor Van Gogh med/eng/sci and Captain Chakotay com/dip/sci later this month! 🖖
