Fascination Lwuxana is a Betazoid and I noticed is missing the Empath Trait.....
She's a full telepath, not just an empath like her half-Human daughter Deanna.
Yes. Deanna is an Empath, but not a Telepath, because she is only half-Betazoid. But, a full Betazoid surely would be able to feel the emotions of others, as well as read minds.....

Every Betazoid in the game other than Deanna and Kestra are Telepath and not Empath. Every Deanna has been an empath. The other empaths have been El-Aurians and other people with that fuzzy can sense something but not full telepath.
This is one case where they've been incredibly consistent with traits. The full telepaths will not be getting the empath trait.
Greetings Captains, after taking a deep look at Automaton 2000 Trait Audit & and some of your suggestions. We drafted a list for the devs and they are currently validating it! I have no additional information as when the changes will be added, but the work is advancing! Thank you all for the suggestions and help! LLAP
Many crew get a species trait for dressing up and pretending to be that species.
Which is why no one is complaining about the Klingon trait. But Odo was referred to as a Solid. He was never called a Human.
In DS9 Season 4, EP 26 “Broken Link” at around 37 minutes in Dr. Bashir says “Captain, I’m reading a heart, lungs, and a digestive system. It’s as if he were…human.”
I agree with ChoasChild that they should have turned him into a Bajoran. But then maybe they didn’t want to give him a reason to be more attached to Kira.
Bashir described Odo's new solid physiology as human. Always seemed odd to me, it would have made more sense for the founders to make him a Bajoran.
Who was with him when they changed him? Maybe all the "templates" were Human?
Been a couple of decades since I saw that one.....
Thinking about it, the best chance the dominion had for a detailed scan of alpha quadrant species was in The Search (S3, E1&2), when they had the crew in that not-holodeck. But Kira wasn't there, just humans, a Trill and a Romulan. So that might explain why they chose human anatomy, they had more comprehensive data to work with.
It's a better explanation than lazy writing, anyway.
Shouldn't Damron be part of the Delphic Expanse collection? Also, shouldn't Automated Personnel Unit 3947 perhaps have the Android trait/be part of the Fully Functional collection?

Automated Unit should definitely not have the Android trait, because it wasn't an android. You're right about Damron though.

What would you define the difference as? I mean, Dejaren is an isomorphic projection, but he still gets the hologram trait. I figured it was a 'close enough' kind of tag. (I dunno, the guy just feels like he should be in SOME collection... especially with the Voyager villains event coming up! :-) )
Yes. Negan definitely should be in the Delphic Expanse Collection.
And artificial lifeforms that are not Androids need a Trait. Even if it is different, put Androids, Sentient Computers, and whatever we call the Automated Units in a Collection that they all fit.
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
The definition of an android is "an automaton in the form of a human being". The "andro" prefix specifically means man, but in Star Trek terms we have to expand that to cover other intelligent species as well. But it needs to be a simulation of a living being. The automated units don't fit this definition, which is why they have their own trait.

To further expand on things, Lal would be a "Gynoid", since she is an artificial person who is female in form/appearance.
As would, probably, be the Probe that was imitating Ilya.
Probably.

Moving past denotation, the connotation of android is artificial life designed with the appearance of a person and programmed to act like a person. If that matches the character, the character should have the android trait.

Linguistically speaking you're probably right. But Star Trek refers to Lal as an "android", as well as Soji and Dahj, so it seems to be a gender-neutral term as far as they're concerned. Species-neutral seems logical as well.

Yeah. It's one of those terms that has become gender neutral over the years. I doubt if any current writers, for example, use the gender-specific term for the female-presenting version.
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
Look, we don't know that the Cravic and the Pralor didn't have bronze and silver skin, motionoless mouths, and glazed over eyes, so who's to say the automated units aren't perfect representations? :-)
Greetings Captains, our tea is currently working on the new traits being added. We passed notes from this years audit and we will have some news soon. LLAP and thank you for your ideas!

There are no Lwaxana Troi's that are an empath according to crew retrieval. All versions of her are telepath.
Why does Kodrak have the Human trait?
The way things are going, probably because he was played by a Human actor.....
Odo was a solid human when he was disguised as Kodrak. Didn’t become a shapeshifter again until later in season 5.
I remember him being referred to as a Solid, Don't remember him ever being referred to as Human.
