Norah Sateen should have vengeful. Kejal should have cardassian trait.

    Greetings Captains,

We want to know your opinion regarding the topic in the title. Do you feel that certain crew are missing any kind of Trait/s? Do you believe some crew shouldn't have X Trait? Let us know in this thread!

If you agree with the comment of any other Captain make sure to Like it so we have a better understanding of your preferences / Thoughts.

    Neelix EMH missing 'hologram' trait

Debatable. He's not a hologram, just playing one on the holodeck.
  • Shouldn't every Ambassador also be a Diplomat? Considering we also have a collection for Diplomats, that makes sense to me. For example we have the newest card - Ambassador Spock who doesn't have it but there are a bunch of crewmen who also need it. kbrw6jx4zp9i.jpg

Multiple Keses just graduated Medical School.

Kat Cornwell still missing the Trait.

It doesn't make sense that Kes should have the physician trait, since she was obviously not a doctor. She was a medical assistant, which is further from being a doctor than any of the nurses in the game, let alone characters like Cornwell and Kovich. I'd be very curious to understand the rationale behind this decision...

I know she assisted in the Sickbay, and did nursely duties. But, even in the 23rd century, I'd think medical school would take a little time. And Ocampas don't have a lot of time. Their lives are literally shorter than the time it takes to become a physician doctor. Because after the eight years of college, there is also intern time and resident time.

I've stated before in this very thread why Cornwell definitely should have it. Including dialog straight from the show. So I won't list all that again.

And I am not saying anyone should lose the Trait. Just that she definitely should have it. She even practiced her specialty in the scene her in-game character is from.

And you're still wrong, for all the reasons I gave before and which you never even attempted to provide a counter-argument to. Just stating your own thoughts repeatedly without even trying to engage with an opposing opinion doesn't suddenly make you correct.

But I really don't want to have that discussion again, because minds as closed as yours are just painful to deal with.

On the flip side, if Kes is going to be considered a physician, then mental health Doctors certainly should be too. I would personally prefer for Kes to just go back to not being a physician, letting her, all the nurses, and all the non-medical doctors get recognized as caregivers.

Giving these Kes variants the physician trait was a mistake.

EDIT: Sincere apologies to Chaos. I got really snarky. And did it over something that is not even important.

  • I think all versions of Deanna Troi should be Telepaths. She is shown able to communicate telepathically with her mother and at least some of the other aliens who also have telepathy. She has Empath which makes sense but it's not the same as being a Telepath, same way some people in real life are empathetic but definitively not able to read minds. If necessary I can try to rewatch TNG's episodes with her mother for exact scenes but she definitely, at least canonically, can read minds. Illustrative picture:ivsda3f8l4jl.jpg

All other Betazoids besides her also have it and while we are at it, maybe her daughter also ought to have it? I haven't watched Star Trek Picard so can't comment but other people who have seen it can say for certain.

Troi being a half betazoid and therefore only an empath and not a telepath was a recurring point throughout TNG.

I did watch TNG multiple times but she could communicate with her mother telepathically and that was shown during at least 1-2 episodes. Also if we're using Memory Alpha as a source: As a half-Betazoid, Troi was capable of extra-sensory empathy, but was incapable of reading aliens with brain structures dissimilar to Humans and other Betazoids, such as the Breen and the Ferengi. Like most Betazoids, Troi had telepathic abilities. Due to her half-Human heritage, however, the range of her telepathic skills was limited compared to full-blooded Betazoids, and she could usually only read the thoughts of other Betazoids, most notably her mother. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Deanna_Troi?so=search

Pretty sure she was communicating with her mother using her mother's telepathy. I'd guess anyone can learn to direct thoughts at a full Betazoid and get their attention in that way.

There was that bit in Encounter at Farpoint where she spoke in Riker's mind because they were "bonded", but the writers quickly abandoned that concept.
  • DScottHewittDScottHewitt ✭✭✭✭✭
Yeah. The thing with Riker was in the pilot episode. And was abandoned for the series, which often happens with some stuff from a pilot episode. There are often "tweaks" to details.

  • Not missing a trait, but the character got the totally wrong, non existing rank.

Commodore Bochra should be Centurion Bochra.
