Twice now, after choosing my crew for the event, I have gone to select my standard voyage with the standard voyage still showing the primary/secondary skills of command/diplomacy and then being different once the voyage is sent.
My first voyage turned out to be command/medical and my current one is now diplomacy/security.
Not a total loss, but it still won't make it to the 10 or 12 hour mark without a revival - not when one of the skills are set incorrectly.
Thank you for putting that here. I just recalled to try again.
I see others have made this same point about the goyage skills (cmd/dip) affecting the regular voyage skills (appeared to be cmd/dip, later became sci/dip; screenshots below for the devs). I did a new goyage followed by a new voyage, so perhaps sequencing matters. I also did not see the glitch until after a reboot.
Are the encounters/gauntlets random? I've been checking every 30 mins and sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't. If it's random, does that mean I'm possibly missing out on a lot of VP?

30 minutes, 60 minutes later (90 minutes in) then every two hours.
Thanks, I get the boosts now. I didn't bother trying the box since my proficiencies have been good enough.
The real trick to this event is going to be having enough gold crew immortalized with enough empty quipment spaces available. In this case, I have a lot of Kirk, Sisko, and Janeway. Just before the event started, I maxed out all their quipment slots and for good measure, maxxed out several who were Federation and lower bonus. I don't imagine I can get the same in the future.
This is the former voyage that failed in the middle of the night. I would have just used a voyage token if this had been a real event. And my new one has similar high values.
I want to add that knowing the proficiencies will matter made me adjust the lineup, particularly for med. I'll want to start running high proficiency med crew through the continuum missions.
Are we supposed to recall the voyage or just let it run until the end of the event?
It instantly recalls. If it runs out of AM, you still keep all the points and all the rewards. I suspect that in the future that will change. If you run out of AM, it should keep points and lose items. We'll see how that plays out. I made it 2 minutes from the 15.5 hour mark. My best ever. But then, my crew is massively boosted and the bonus ship AM helps.
I don’t think the programmers thought of how players are supposed to handle overnights. There’s no real option except let it sit while you get sleep. Or it’s an experiment to see what happens when a couple thousand Star Trek fans get no sleep for two days. Either way, this is an issue that needs to be rethought.
I also don’t understand the “30min, 90mins, 2hrs” start up timing for dilemmas. It makes knowing when the next set of dilemmas will happen much harder (unless I set a timer). A “30mins, 30mins, 1hr, 2hr” sequence would have made more sense and kept it in line with the established Voyage system, while giving new/lower ranked players a chance to earn VP.
I know there has been some talk of this not being a brut force (ie: spend dil or stockpile chronos) event system for ranking. I thought the same thing until I shot up into the top 100 rank when I started using tokens at the 13-14hr point. Voyage tokens value just went up, a lot. That means rank will be determined by the depth of player’s dil stockpiles. Not a fan but I accepted long a go that I’d never win an event, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Overall, not too thrilled with this event type. It really needs to be thought through more.
Bug #1. Both with actual voyages and with this voyage event. Sometimes when you complete the 2 hour / 3 hour timer an encounter or dilemma won't trigger until you leave the voyage screen and return to it
Bug #2. I lost all my antimatter about the same time that I entered an encounter, probably because of the aforementioned bug where a dilemma sometimes won't trigger until you leave the voyage screen. I lost the first fight in the encounter. Instead of giving me a chance to revive my character (and face off the other 5 people in the encounter) I was kicked out of the encounter and the voyage kept going.

There are methods to handle overnights. They gave out two boosts that can help in this event alone to skip encounters. You also don't have to play the overnights. Not everyone is going to be able to keep up with the revival tokens/Dil for a long period of time. The whales might be able to do that, but that is basically the same as every other event.
The first two encounters happen at 30 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes. From there the encounters appear every two hours. So the pattern is 0.5 hrs, 1.5 hrs, 3.5 hrs, 5.5 hrs, 7.5 hrs and so on. Unless you are die hard on top of it, eventually the encounters will match up with Dilemmas in Voyages.

The boosts help you skip encounters but you still need to open the voyage to activate the encounter to trigger the boost
This also happened to me. Started a normal voyage straight after event voyage - skills were cmd / dip. Was surprised when failure imminent came up before 10 hours - looked and voyage was dip / sci
Count me on the list too, I was wondering why my dip and cmd were so high. It only happened to one account one time.
Must be when sending both at the same time , one after the other,
On my first goyage I ran it like a normal voyage going for high antimatter. On my second I used some of my top gauntlet crew. When I go into Gauntlet now their pictures are muted. Does this indicate that they won’t be available for Gauntlet and the Voyage event when it goes live?
Can anyone offer insight as to how the number one in the event has over 4 million points? I don't see how that's possible
1. Start quickly when the event starts.
2. Staff and quip the crew focusing on the featured crew.
3. Never recall - the multiplier for passing encounters really adds up.
4. Never fail an encounter - I burned the free crew revive tokens on boss battle failures.
5. Terrible sleep for 2 nights.
Oddly, I just received a notification that my voyage has had an encounter that needs resolution, but the event has "ended" although it is still in the "calculating results" status.
I knew I should have returned my voyage in the last minute; but I got greedy trying to stay in the top 100. Now I have several crew stuck in limbo with no idea when they're going to be usable again.

Thank you for putting that here. I just recalled to try again.
I don't understand. What shuttle boosts?
Goyage (first)
Regular voyage (second)
This voyage was advertised as Sci/eng this morning. I recalled the event voyage, and the main on changed to com/dip, but Sci/eng once it got going.

Correct. You just let the anti matter run dry.
I wouldn't bet on it. I would be concerned it won't count if not pulled in time.

Is it possible that having multiple copies of event crew is somehow multiplying the event points beyond what was intended?
We have a main event in two hours, and continuum missions I need to use my crew for.

Event crew quipped going far and not losing any encounters. There is a a bonus for doing many encounters and that gives a higher VP
