Same here, EnderW. I tried ending my last voyage right as my last reward was coming in (200 creds + 100 creds + VP), but before I could click the "Recall" button, the alarm on my tablet sounded. By the time I could get back to the game and event, it had ended. Now all of the crew that were on that voyage are locked away, so their Quipment is expiring, and I can't complete the Continuum missions I was expecting to run this morning.
EDIT: They came back 3-3.5 hours after the end of the event, but some (but not all!) of these crew broke Continuum events, as I detail here.

1. When setting up a voyage, it would be nice to have the skill indicator for (how many of each skill has been selected like in gauntlet). (Cover your skills) Show how many cards chosen cover the individual skills while setting up the voyage. I also do not appreciate the static skill sort issue here. Maybe i want a dip primary card in a security seat. This new sorting situation is horrible. I wish to sort the highest stats at my preference.
2. The timers are frustrating. Having to check standard voyage at 2hr, shuttles 3hrs, gauntlet 4hrs, valor refill, daily StarBase and portal refresh… the timers are becoming overwhelming. Suggestion: 15min, 30min, then 60min and every 2 hours after. Please remove the half hour situation so that event timers can be coincided at the players preference.
3. The skill and stat highlight feature during the challenge is visually overwhelming and confusing. The first challenge indicators are yellow like a normal gauntlet. After the first node is complete they turn to yellow and green. It causes you to mistakenly chose the wrong crew. Sometimes the final node is pink, when you click a node ahead the indicators turn blue. I found the blue “future need” indicator helpful. The rest of it is so overwhelming especially when playing mobile on a small screen. Everywhere is highlights and in mobile landscape screens you only get enough space for a few crew. Trying to scroll, chose crew while everything is lit in a small screen is information overload.
All we need is the blue when future node is chosen, and the current skillset yellow.
The highlight, colored, and static skillset indicators are overcomplicated through the entire thing. There are too many. Please Simplify.
4. The voyage pause indicator for challenge does not work. There is no indicator that your voyage is paused. Ive had to click into the event to check my progress the entire test phase. If the game has no indicator then the notification doesn’t work either. The progress bar does not always have a ship icon. Sometimes it is just the bar, or sometimes the ship hovered on the far right pause but there was no challenge available.
5. There is no “back” button. You must x out to the event main screen then re-enter again to get to the event option screen.
6. While the voyage is running there is no way to access the challenge information. Crit bonus, multipliers, % gained are only visible in a quick flash while earning them. The voyage is the boring part. All of the new stuff is only viewable if you are in the active challenge.
7. I am assuming the encounter skip tokens are going to be added to existing packs somehow.
The biggest strategy here is timing the excessive amount of game timers🤪and mentally deleting all of the highlights.
This upgrade and new event has negatively affected several other portions of the game. Please fix what has been messed up before moving forward
The beta testing should have started at reset like other special events and ended last night at reset.
They knew they were going to be "calculating" after the event ended. They even sent an in-game message saying so.....
It shouldn't have started/ended at midnight because then their staff wouldn't have been present to fix issues. It should have been a shorter OE. Run it for 24-30 hours so it ended during their work day yesterday and they had plenty of time to fix things before the event today.

Well, the end time definitely should have been well before the Event start time. However they did it. They actually sent a message out acknowledging that calculating was going to take time. So, end it early enough for people to have access to their Crew for the Event, if the Crew were going to be locked during calculating if the Goyage was not manually ended before the Event ended.
Start it Monday around Dabo reset would have been better. And end it yesterday at Dabo reset. Still two days, but twenty three hours to calculate before the Event.
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
I also agree with other posters. Please make the encounters every 2 hours starting at the 2 hour mark, it also means that we can check/update both the voyage and the event at the same time rather than having to wait for half an hour.
here's a big one. I started a regular Voyage during the Beta, and the PRI/SEC skills were CMD/DIP.
After the Beta was over, it changed my voyage PRI/SEC skills mid-stream to MED/SEC, and it ran that voyage off a cliff because of it. You can see in the pic the change it made. It looks like that was a system wide glitch looking at a few other comments.
Yes, I agree having the crew locked out and unable to use from the Beta while they are still "Calculating Results" is frustrating as hell. I can't move forward with Continuum missions until they are released.
In addition there were the missing gauntlet opponents. I didn't see anyone else complain about this one yet. When going up against certain crew after the first "battle", the opponent was missing and the graphics for the battle were also missing, so I could not see who I was up against, nor their skill #s AT ALL. Sometimes a shadow image would appear after the battle like this pic, but sometimes it would just remain black.

This didn't break when the beta ended. It was an issue from the start. The voyage planning showed CMD/dip and then changed to display the correct value once you started the voyage.
Can anyone offer insight as to how the number one in the event has over 4 million points? I don't see how that's possible
1. Start quickly when the event starts.
2. Staff and quip the crew focusing on the featured crew.
3. Never recall - the multiplier for passing encounters really adds up.
4. Never fail an encounter - I burned the free crew revive tokens on boss battle failures.
5. Terrible sleep for 2 nights.
I didn't recall mine the entire time. I got just over 2 million points

OK, so you covered item 3, what about the rest? Each featured and bonus crew contribute to the passive VP drip, and the multiplier against that ups at each encounter. I was pretty rigorous about moving through each encounter as soon as it dropped to minimize lost time. Same for running out of antimatter.

I recalled my crew BEFORE the event ended, and still got these error messages.
It is incredibly frustrating to fail Continuum missions because of an error on their part. Especially when Continuum energy is so hard to come by for some (12 hours if you don't dip into chrons).
Thankfully, I realised the issue before burning through all of my Continuum tanks, and had other crew that could complete missions with Quipment boosts, but it was still annoying having to boost other crew and lose tanks when it never should have been an issue.
My biggest question is why could I even select these crew if they were "unavailable"?

I lost 3 tanks for continuum missions by selecting crew who had been on the event voyage, even after the event finished and the crew were back in my quarters. There’s a thread in the Engineering forum about it, but no comment at all from the good folks running the game and causing the issues.
In the first 2 hours it will cost dilithium. So, if you want to keep your position as though the problem did not exist, you need to spend 120 dil. and 100 Chron. for each lost tank.

I think that's the thing that is bothering the majority of us the most — the radio silence coming from the Devs.

The lack of communication is appalling. I don't understand how they can launch a new event without giving us any information on how it works, or any communication afterwards about how it went, the problems everyone encountered, plans for the future, etc.
It's just pathetic. There's nobody at the company who understands the first thing about PR.

Long weekend in the United States. Doubt anything from the developers will be posted until Tuesday and even then, it will be essentially.
Greeting Captain(s),
We will take your feedback to the developers. Thank you for patience and participation.
There has been plenty of communication. At the start of the event, during the event answering questions, and during the issues after the event. It's just all happening on discord. They want to kill the forums. It's time to recognize that and move on. This is not where the staff is spending their time communicating with players anymore.

Then they need to announce that. Here. I downloaded Discord once a few years back. But I don't use it and don't understand it. I have no desire to learn it. But I suppose I could. But I have no desire to bother unless they tell me it is needed.

Same here, as I have no interest in using it on a regular basis. I purposely limit my exposure on social media, well just because. Now off to my cabin in the woods to resume my life as a Luddite …. 😆
I do use Discord on a regular basis, but it is a much worse method of giving out information, if you actually want people to see it. It's just a continual flow of messages, very little structure, and it's very hard to actually go back and look at past information. Discord is great for chatting, the forums are much better for actually sharing information.
By all means, share the info on Discord. But if that's the only place you share it, don't be surprised if the majority of your players don't see it. Including most of the ones that are actually on Discord.

I agree. I also think we can agree it wouldn't have been any different if it wasn't a holiday. Just a day earlier.

Once again, if true, this is the typical "we're not listening to the players" attitude that has been prevalent for a LONG time.
No one asked for more Discord or YouTube communication. Most players don't follow them on those platforms. Heck, a lot of players don't follow the forums either, but at least here has been an established point of contact forever. Why is it suddenly so hard to communicate here?
In-game communication should be the absolute bare minimum, and that doesn't even happen in a lot of instances. It seems their staff is already stretched thin based on the bugs and lack of QA, amongst other things. Maybe now is not the time to try to force new methods of communicating on the players.
If they really do want to kill the forums, and this isn't just bad communication, then they are even more out of touch than it seems.
And would it kill them to announce that they communicate via Discord? After 4 years of 0 spending i started wasting money again but looks like I made a big mistake. Time to close the wallet for good this time.

If they're posting important information on Discord, is it really that hard to copy/paste it to another couple of places? It's not like we're asking them for anything that'll take more than a couple of minutes, tops.

I'm sorry, but in-game communication should be their priority and first-line of communication with players. Period.
If they want to phase-out their forums, then do so. It's not like this is a player-built community, it's the game's official forum. As long as it exists and remains open for players, then TP should be utilizing it. At the very least, use it to inform players that their communications is shifting to other platforms. Having said that, they still announce every event here in their communications sub-forum, to the inconsistency and mixed-messaging is already incredibly frustrating.

Proper communication with the players fell apart pretty quickly after Shan left.
