No reason has ever been given as to why Galaxies are the only ones to get them. I think that is the main reason some people like them as it allows you to FF the threshold 4*.
I think factions would get a lot more popular if they had community rewards.

I think it would definitely be appreciated by people in the Faction Event especially. Since it gets so hard to have successful Shuttle Runs so fast.

We actually had a faction community event in late 2016 (or was it early 2017). Essentially they put up 5 slots for grabs if we could as a community rack up a certain number of successful shuttle missions in a limited time. They had said that they would do something similar in the future, but alas, it never materialized.

I always viewed the community rewards as compensation for using your chrons on crafting instead of leveling. Which wouldn't really make sense since you can get the community rewards with very little individual effort.

Which some have speculated as well, some others speculated on the old forums that it was simply an idea that the galaxy creator had and it would be too much effort without a good payoff to do for Factions. Others speculated it was to keep pack sales going for the 3/4 threshold. There's a host of theories but it's never been actually explained by anyone from DB that I can find.
1. Overall participation was poor. A premium 10 pack encouraged more participation from everyone. I recall hearing community rewards sometimes weren't met before the Borg event.
2. Giving the first card sells more packs. The first freebie is always the placement character, so minimal participation gets anyone 2 characters.
The Enterprise series had a “mirror” episode and the opening title was changed to reflect. It was pretty awesome and would make for great opening/start to Timelines through the remainder of the mega-event. Just a thought. Keep up the good work!

They did that with the new client. Hopefully it reverts back after the event, but I'm not holding my breath, it'll probably take a new client to do.

Does this include Rianna Mayweather?
If history is any indicator, the answer is "No"
True. When relatives of event crew are bonus, they are specifically mentioned.
As has been brought up numerous times before in the forums, however, the only exception to that statement is when the main event crew *is* the less-ubiquitous relative. For example, T'Mir being event crew and T'Pol variants being bonus crew — DB does this in those particular cases because those relatives are usually needed to pad out the number of available bonus crew. So if Rianna was main event crew, then surely Travis Mayweather would be bonus crew. But not the other way around, alas.

Hi Shan--
Thanks for this update. Can you confirm if there will be crew sharing, and if so, for both parts of the event?

Presumably there will be crew sharing for the faction portion and no sharing for the expedition portion. Just like every hybrid event there has ever been.

Parents and other ancestors {unless specifically said} usually are NOT "variants" if that crewperson. For example, Worf's grandfather from Star Trek VI does not give a Bonus when regular Worf is a Bonus Crew.......

@Shan will there only be one faction for the faction portion? The first post is only showing Federation as the only faction being listed.
I would say yes since it is the only faction listed.
At first I didn’t think that we had one faction faction events but after looking through the wiki it is something that happens quite regularly. Shows you how much I really focus on what factions are being used.

100% not disputing this

I wonder what the Winning Faction will be?!?!?

But, MOMMY is a Mayweather!!!!!
Scott
Thank you. I was wondering because Beverly Crusher is specifically mentoined, ruling out Wesley. But for Mayweather no distinction was made.
What got picked
Crusher isnt bad from what I see
