As a point of reference, if the art for the ships had as much variation in consistency, quality, authenticity and style as the crew art does, would that be acceptable? While a high quality abstract, impressionist, or cubist rendering of one of the ships might be interesting artistically, would it fit well into the game?
I'm having a very very psychidelic experience thinking of a Warhol Monroe Style Janeway on a Borg Cube as a flyable ship.
Actually makes me want to hurl.

I love this!
I'd say the Borg Cube is the white-grey square to the right of the yellow square in the centre?
The Prakesh is the red oblong rectangle to the right of the two white-grey oblong rectangles in the bottom left corner?
Do I win a prize if I get it right?

Well, if it is indeed true that art is only completely subjective and never objective, then no matter where you believe the ships to be, you are correct. 😉

For me, the Borg Cube is the imposing black centre-right rectangle, overtaking the long vertical red Prakeshtangle immediately to its right. We can observe from this piece, that the artist intended to convey the desperate plight of the Prakesh and her crew, fleeing through a field of celestial bodies scattered and alone in the coldness of space.
Everyone here needs to chill about the art. Style is style and while one may not like one style over another it doesn't make it less of a piece of art. For instance....
vs...
or for that matter this....
All famous art all by masters all vary different in style. So where some see bury lines compared to other pieces you are not seeing good vs bad you are seeing one artist vision of the subject vs another.
Art is subjective.
For the record in order these works are:
Madame X by John Singer Sargent
Adele Bloch-Bauer by Gustav Klimt
Portrait of Dora Maar by Pablo Picasso
Will be excited to see 'Analytic Cubist Janeway' in an upcoming event. 'Post Impressionist' Janeway' could be good, too, although I'm less excited for 'Surrealist Janeway.'

I quite like the art, but even as someone who likes it I can't argue that it meets the same standard as the earlier art: especially the art from the game's initial release. Unfortunately, with fewer staff working on STT, I rather think it's something we'll all learn to live with, or not as the case may be.
Art is VERY subjective, as far as peoples tastes. I happen to like all three new characters. Some like one or two, some don't like any.
It's not going to end the game that a crew pic looks bad to some, though......

Nah, but in a game that's a collectible card game with no other reason to collect certain cards, bad artwork may well be the end of the game to some.
When somebody doesn't feel like they're getting any value for their money, they'll go spend their money where they feel like they are getting value.
I decided the Troi could be worth it because I am a MED ho. I was prepping to wince through pulling countless Geordis and Janeways, but I lucked out and pulled Troi on the first pack and of course took the double up offer. I'll fuse her through honour, seems like takes me 2-3 weeks to get enough for a legendary citation now, so that's not too bad.
Congratulations, sometimes the RNG does work in your favor She does look pretty useful for voyages, especially since MED is usually the weakest cathegory for many people, including myself - and now we got Mirror Crusher and Mirror Troi - really improved things
I know right? I love Crusher, she's one of my fave characters in the series, top 10 at least. So now I finally have a 5-star Crusher, I've never been able to get Age of Sail, but Mirror Bev's art is honestly very nice! Troi looks a bit haggard to me, but good nonetheless. I'm just glad we finally got two strong MED characters in an event for once.
I have never been able to get Age of Sail Crusher either, until this week trying to get Mirror Troi, and there she was. I got 4 Legendary I didn't have before trying for Mirror Troi. Now I really have work to do...

I don't understand this line of thought. If someone is only collecting cards for the art, not gameplay reasons, why spend at all? The art is available free on the wiki or other sources.
I'm pleasantly surprised with the artwork. Yes of course I still agree it's not as good as the early artwork and the Discovery artwork, but it is an improvement over what we've been getting lately. I even like the Orange is the New Black Janeway.
Where is the $10 for 10 pulls new year deal? All I’ve got is 25 pulls for $99?
I suspect the deals vary by the person. Personally, I wouldn't pay for crew pulls because I have no crew slots. I only have 65. Give me more crew slots or let me buy them with something besides dilithium, and I'll consider buying crew packs with real money.

This is a game wide deal advertised when you log in and in starfleet comm...It isn’t the varying type. It says I can buy it up to 2 times but only the $99 deal is available...

I got the 10 for 10 although it's like 13.99 for 10 here in Canada.
I chose to do one to see if I could pull anything good.
In 10 pulls, I got zero legendaries, with the exception of 2 4*s, all else were ones I had FF'd. The two beholds I got - one was all FF'd or immortalized 4*s, the other had one of the 4*s I didn't have FF'd yet.
And in one pull, I got 60% schematics. I don't think a pull should EVER be more than 50% schematics.
Needless to say, I did not bother taking another 10 pull.

DB removed the Community Rewards for Hybrid Faction/Galaxy Events?
No, they will be visible once phase 2 starts.
Maybe something to add to your copy-pasta for hybrid-Galaxy announcements?
Hmm pasta
I will keep it in mind, yes
LMFAO... if it was you, Shan, who copied and “linguine vongole” you better bet everyone would jump on it and “**tsk tsk** and moan” about QC, etc, etc... mmmmm.... clams....

Is it still the case now?
It didn’t show for me either but a quick reset fixed it. Mind you, I kind of wish it didn’t because my 10 pulls were kind of 💩... like 4/5 beholds were for three immortalized characters 😫. Unsurprisingly, not taking you up on the offer to do it twice 😝.
Mirror Geordi doesn't really look like Geordi, but the comic version of him doesn't either so I guess they've been faithful to that. Not sure why the comic has been more closely followed in Geordi's case than Bev's though. Bev in the comic was a bit iffy too, but the game version was really improved to look more like Gates McFadden. Geordi just isn't. He looks more like Richard Chevolleau than Levar Burton as someone else pointed out. Still better than Walken Data, but... not quite what I hoped for after Bev last week.

(At least 3 each)
It wasn't a horrible run, but we've definitely had a lot better.
In 40 packs (20 wife, 20 my self)
There was only a single 5* out of the entire lot.
So.. between the straight drop doubles, the full houses .. we each are spacing 70% of what we got.
Even at the great 10 for $10 rate, we are taking a buying break . The value just isn't there.
I think ya need to look at the structure of the packs to make them more worth it.
Just checked and it is resolved. Thank you.
