I'm sorry to hear about your issues.

When KM set their minds to something they usually achieve it - and knowing some of the KM players as I do, I can vouch for their integrity.

If they say they are boycotting, you can be sure that’s what they are doing.
  • I said boycotting but I guess ultimatum was the better word. Does this matter?

The more i thought about it the more i realised i was tired of it all. I enjoy the game but it's been bad since they rightsized. I actually think DB:DB is asking for things that require more staffing, which isn't going to happen. I never had dealings with Glen but I think he contributed a lot to the good customer service we once got. Nod was good for us. There were others. So I've actually decided to scale back for good. I stopped caring because they **tsk tsk** up the only event i wanted: a mirror event. they distract us and placate us with empty talk. They care about addiction. 2 hour voyages, 3 hour shuttles, 4 hour gauntlet. We are always on. Are we respected for our devotion?
  • I'm not always on any more. Especially since the voyages nerf, followed by a bollixed Christmas event which affected me personally and a messed up New Year's event which I sat out of out of sheer frustration and overload.

5 day events **tsk tsk**, but especially when they go wrong. Pay to play events **tsk tsk** if you've got a limited budget, the only strategy being 'open your wallet'. And the response to all this has been 'minimum compensation because you're all threatening to leave' and 'we'll think about it' - again. Sometimes not even that.

  • Here's a thought.

Boycott = Drop in revenue = Further cuts/cost savibgs by DB = Eventual withdrawal of STT.

Making a stand can have unforseen consequences which could be the total opposite of the intended outcome..

How many events will KM be boycotting to make their displeasure apparent to DB?

That can actually happen yes. It can also happen if the displeasure of enough players is expressed by them going out the door all together. Me thinks one will lead to the other for some people. Maybe not most or all, but there will be some.

The go ahead and accept whatever to keep the game alive is a valid way of thinking, but it is one that usually leads to more crapola being served on the dinner plate.

So it can backfire. But so can accepting the new status quos.

That is a good question, but I don't think it is needed. They will know at the end if this if their revenue was down. Let them compare this event to others and they'll get the point.

Just to add some clarity regarding the mysterious [KM] Kor’s Marauder’s and the pics of assorted players in no fleet. They’re not in KM. I won’t go into detail here but the first is a not so elaborate attempt to discredit the fleet, and the second is just ridiculous.

As for KM, here is my squad. There’s a combined 10 solo wins, and over 10 squads wins for Chang’s Marauder’s there and not a single point. Keep it up everyone!

Quite honestly, I believe that you guys deserve to at least get a few VP for the freebies - just because you set up the whole thing. I feel really bad for you doing everything, setting an example, and not getting a thing in return. It's like doing good over good over good... It's just unfair...

I would have gone with divest, it captures the not spending aspect without being a boycott.
  • Please, good will for one another. I find it uplifting to see captains from different clans sharing support and solidarity, attempting to come together for common causes. Trekkies unite!

+ agree very much with Frank and Xoiiku about collective direction and focus.

Appreciations for every captain and fleet who are putting effort or taking stands in various ways, toward making STT world a better place. "We're all in this together" etc

I will now go to hug a tree.
