As to the original question: no, we should not be supporting this. She is not simply sharing her belief. She is trying to dictatorily force others and remove their agency. She is not a freedom lover, but a tyrant. (In this DB storyline.) Convergence Day is not an even that takes everyone away from solving the problem. It is a temporary break. Even Spock, the great Vulcan, demanded that his shipmates take shoreleave. It is logical. This storyline is illogical and tyrannical.
Tourist Quark needs to come save the day...as for now I’m airlocking this like I airlock all my DSC characters (except Saru, he’s cool. And maybe Lucius Malfoy). I just don’t like DSC....

She's out of control. Lets look at some of the mission stories.
1 - Tries to shut down Risa.
2 - Wants to demote officers since theres too many officers and not enough juniors running experiments...ok its called "reassign officers" but if you're reassigned to a lower position thats a demotion.
3 - Is trying to change races cultures. Hirogen, a race of hunters right? Well thats wrong, you should be using your skills to hunt down relics and give them to the Federation for safekeeping.
4 - Wants to censure the Bajorans if they refuse to separate church and state. Thats right, you know how your religious figures are involved in politics and thats how its been? Well stop it or be punished.
5 - McCoy has lost a lot of patients, lets boot him out and stop him from being a doctor.
6 - Reunification between the Vulcans and Romulans being a Romulan plot has happened before, fears of it happening again cant (or shouldn't) be dismissed with nothing more than "Nope thats illogical we're doing it anyway!"
7 - Is trying to split up families who were reunited by the temporal crisis.
8 - Betazoids have a useful ability but they're influenced by the emotions of others, lets introduce the teachings of Surak and try to get them to be a lot less emotional. Betazoids, you're useful but you need to be more like us Vulcans.
9 - Too many admirals, lets have them retrained as yeomen
10 - Starfleet shouldn't be exploring anymore, theres more important things to do (probably like having the Betazoids and Bajorans change as well as demoting all the higher ups) so lets have groups like the Augments and Terran Empire do all the exploring. I'm sure that'll work out ok after all the Augments and Terran Empire have shown themselves to be explorers who will happily seek out new life and new civilisations...does that sound logical?
