  • Insane amount of bonus crew. We need a way to sort the vault ASAP!
  • Either DB runs an event with almost none bonus crew or 100+, this is INSANE!

I'm thinking Spock for a bonus. He mind-melded with both the Horta and Gracie the whale. He has the exobiology trait. And he did a little too much LDS back in the '60's. Perfect fit.

LDS, I didn't know Spock was in with the Latter-Day Saints.
    The more you know.

That's not a typo. That's how the line is in the movie. It is hilarious in my opinion. My understanding is that in reality, Nimoy was Jewish. Not that it matters. We all love the guy.

Chakotay is a highly spiritual man, it makes absolutely no sense that none of his versions have the Spiritual trait.

If you look at who does have the spiritual trait, they're not just spiritual people, but religious figures.

    Another Faction.. :/

I'm actually pretty happy about that. Three of the last four events have had at least a galaxy component. I mean, I'd be happier to get a straight expedition event, but I'll take this.

And three of four somewhere recent were Faction, or part Faction......

    It's true.

The difference is that you can passively play a faction event, running shuttles, getting some stuff, at no loss of resources. It's all freebies.

With a galaxy event, you can't. You have to invest resources that would otherwise go to leveling crew to play at all. I usually clear out the thresholds (at least to a certain point) on the basis that I'm getting more out than I'm putting in, even if it happens to be in the form of credits or crew instead of equipment. But because the investment is a lot higher, the ROI is nowhere near as good as for faction events.

Yeah, finishing the Threshold is a much worse ROI than getting MAYBE 20,000-30,000 Points in the Fraction Events.....

Again, we dare not mock the mighty Fraction Event, because everybody gotta love the Fraction Events.......

How long have you been playing? 20-30k points is like first month stuff, you get that with 3* crew. Anyone with a couple of 1/5's and immortal 4* crew should be clearing most of the thresholds. It's really not that hard.

Kira is also highly spiritual, so if Chakotay gets the trait, most versions of her should get it, as well.

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.

Probably the best option would just be to change the name of the trait to "religious leader". Really what they're going for anyway.

    True.

But if this is not what they mean, then they need to add the trait to Chakotay, Kira, T'Pol, Neelix(?), and Worf.
I wouldn't say all Vulcans, I would operate just from the scenes we see where said Vulcans do participate in spiritual practices.

Events and bonus is gone to the point where you HAVE to have the crew or your going to suffer all weekend. Last week's Q event I failed a total of 3 shuttles. My last five rounds this week
    1/4 success
    2/4 success
    1/4 success
    0/4 success
    1/4 success

I've a fairly deep roster yet my Madam de Neuf is 3/5 and Dark Age McCoy is 5/5 both FE and have FFFE Drone,Temporal seven, warship Yar.

This picture has FFFE Legendary crew with a 3* boost on the fourth shuttle. It's become a hardcore P2W model now
    31c0ktea7jom.png

Breezed it last week in the shuttle part and why wouldn't I spent nearly €300 on crew. I can see why a large portion of the playerbase prefer to hoard chrons and play galaxy events

Just seen next week's bonus crew and welcome the change

The problem is, it's P2W every week. And now DB is tripling down on the P2W events by having all new bonus crew every week. There's a real problem when you can fill a shuttle with 5/5* crew, use a boost, and still be under 70% success rate. It's just not right.

Ever get the feeling DB never imagined players actually playing for years? They need to reduce the advantage players paid/played for such a short time ago just so new players can win enough to get hooked. Have old 5* crew???... So sorry, they're useless now... Please pay again. Wash-Rinse-Repeat.

Everyone will have bonus crew so everyone will be in the same boat. I dont think that many people will buy packs and even if they do they have to buy a lot and lvl that crew up fast to just get a 3x bonus to everyone elses' 2x.

    1) Why are you doing a four seater shuttle?
    2) With that deep of a crew, how many seats are taken by bonus crew on the other three shuttles?
    3) Which missions are you running?

I'm flying 4 shuttles right now, all three seaters -- be alternating factions to play the percentages. Now admittedly I have all bonus crew except Singer Seven --- and all the 4s are getting on shuttles. Having a lot more success..

Worst run I've had is 2/4, but most have been 3/4 and 4/4.

    Is alternating factions beneficial?

They have different skills on their shuttles, so it depends on your crew. I've been alternating trying to figure out which ones work best for mine. It looks like the 3 seaters in Klingon and Hirogen might be the ticket for me at this point.

    Is alternating factions beneficial?

I have to say when cherry picking shuttle runs, can be expensive in merits. I am running two in Maquis, and one in the other two. All are three seaters, taking advantage of my bonus crew. If you do not have a lot of bonus crew, hard to say whether running four shuttles is worth it.

    My crew main account
    FFFE Warship Yar
    FFFE Drone 7
    FFFE TA7
    FFFE Drafted McCoy
    FFFE Katra McCoy
    3FFE 7 of 9
    2FFE Aviator Yar
    1FFE Dark Ages McCoy
Now have FF Duelist Yar level 100 only item missing Yar’s Phaser.

Initially shared W Yar switched to D Yar when she was level 100.

Now two bonus crew on all shuttles except one with all three bones on it.
Klingon Honor is Spectacle ( W Yar, D Yar, FFFE Grand Negus Zelda)
Maquis He’s Dead Jim (my McCoys)
Maquis Hiding in Plain Sight (TA7, 7o9, FFFE T’Kuvma)
Hirogen A Hard Shell (A Yar, D7, 4FFE Mobile Doc)

Edit: having multiple factions is much harder to cherry pick. In previous multifaction events only needed to run one faction. So I was only opening 10 shuttles and cherry picking four.

This event has few bonus crew. So I am taking advantage of better crew fit in other factions. But now I need to open ten in all 3 factions.

Guess I'm the lucky recipient of all your DBNG luck this event. I've only had one round of 4K shuttles not come back 4/4 even though I'm rarely breaking 67% with boosts (the exception was 3/4).

The flipside is I can't run shuttles from 9-5, so thanks for helping me get a 3* Yartwork faster???
  • Woo hoo!!! A Horta AND protomorphosis Barclay! And it’s not a galaxy! Awesome!
Weirdly enough, I’m also Vulcan Housewife. Also, RNGesus hates me, like really, REALLY hates me.

I have edited the original post with the final names AND as an exception for this time, the bonus crew as well :)

    Bonus crew:
    • high bonus: event crew
    • small bonus: variants of Barclay, crew with the Doctor trait, crew with the Brutal trait and crew with the Spiritual trait.

Event factions: Federation, Section 31, Bajorans
@Shan please have "doctor" trait added to all versions of The Doctor in time for the event. Command Hologram and The President of Earth still need this trait added. Being in command or on a holodeck doesn't stop The Doctor from still being a doctor. Much appreciated, thank you!

We get Doctor Chaotica for the brutal bonus either way, but it also seems odd that he doesn't have the Doctor trait. It's in his name.

Wow So from thinking id have no crew, now most of my crew will get a bonus!

Does anyone know if crew with both brutal and doctor will get a higher bonus? I have a few of those!

Also, why is ambassador k’ehleyr brutal? Is it just because she broke worfs heart? ;)

Secondary crew always have a 2x bonus, regardless of traits combinations. Only the main event crew have the 3x bonus.

On a second note, K'ehleyr did brutalize that table...

Dr. David Marcus has the doctor trait despite not being a doctor of medicine amd having no medical at all, but Dr. Carol Marcus, Dr. Soran, Dr. Reyga, Dr. Soong and Dr. Daystrom do not.

It is always ok to give special privileges to people named David.
