I guess it is a much smaller fly plaid than the one shown here. Maybe they made it TOO small. Nice detail for a TV show costume in the 1960s, though......

The base is nice but piling on a few numbers isn't really much of an advantage. This also presumes that I win the event. Otherwise I have someone who's only a hair better than Lal. Who doesn't get much use either. Quite frankly I would rather have Creepy Bug Barclay even though he's creepy looking and is not Scotty.
His proficiencies aren't good either. ENG proficiency is still a pretty weak spot in the game.
His traits are bland.
In term of my crew space he probably ranks below:
Mayweather (Both; One's a Voyage beast, the other an essential Ship battle crew)
Aviator Yar
Assimilated Geordi
Captain Geordi
Borg Queen
EV Tucker (who can be tucked away when I don't need him)
Lal (who can be tucked away when I don't need her)

And, yes, much of this has to do with only having two skills. Its appropriate for some crew to have only two buts its almost never a good idea to build a Starfleet Officer with only two skills.

ENG base is strong but would you prefer him or someone like Romulan Data? Data's ENG base is smaller but he also has a powerful SCI secondary, comparable proficiencies, more traits and a tertiary stat. DB releases 3 different strong ENG base characters in a 2 week period. Scotty is the weakest of the 3 by a big margin.

Nope, as said: I have enough reasons already to not try for him. And next to others triple skill RAF Miles O'Brien, who has very decent ENG, as FE/FF. That is the thing with all this new crew flood. Us making choices what we like or need. Makes the crew slots situation easier. And also saves resources for events we really want to attack...

It takes a long time for some of us to work up enough honor to FF a legendary, never mind trying to keep up with the torrid release schedule of new characters. I say this as someone who is actively working on improving the overall ENG skill among my crew, and right now that means spending the next 3-4 months saving honor to immortalize my 2/5* RAF O’Brien. If I start working on the new Scotty instead (which assumes a lot, as I won’t be anywhere near the top 1000 in any Galaxy event ever and bought only one event pack to get Tarah), then the day when I have a really strong ENG character is that much farther down the road.

Good thing about this game: We have 48 events in a year. And in time everything will fall into place. Basically, next to other things, STT is also a test of patience. Hope you will have everything you need soon...

DB, Kat needs counselor or therapist to her traits. Otherwise, nothing in her traits symbolizes why she would have such a high MED skill.

Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.
New Scotty has the highest ENG base in game, which is great for shuttles and faction events. PLUS: Hes super easy to fully equip, only 3 leg items needed.
I still have time to run through the EAS missions. The Wiki hasn't been updated with any info about the items used by Prisoner Katrina Cornwell. Does anyone who already has her have any helpful suggestions about items I should make a point to farm for her tonight?

The Tyler uniform equipment item image has always looked like a repeat of the Burnham uniform image.

That engineering number looks way higher than the one star number I saw quoted earlier.
