Observation of stuff dropped by voyages

Has anyone noticed, anecdotally, that the two skills selected has an impact on what drops?
I have noticed if I have CMD as primary/secondary I get more replicator rations but never 4* crew.
So much, that I am rather disappointed when I see the CMD skill.

But if DIP is a skill, without CMD, I get more 4* crew and lot less replicator rations.

And some voyages are chrono heavy, or in 1/2* crew, but haven't picked up on the pattern for those.

I am aware of what my dilemmas drop, and discount these instances.

I pop in and out so much that I haven't keep track statistically yet, but probably should start recording my end of voyage results?

This seems like it might be worth gathering data on.

You may be on to something. I had DIP/ENG and it dropped 3 4* in 9.5 hours. Before that I had COM/MED with no 4*. Omma pay attention to this

People have been talking about this, but I've never seen a breakdown. If anyone sets one up, I'll give my observation on my current 12 hour voyage: Engineering primary and science secondary does not favor crew or rations, nor do the chronitons seem heavy. It does seem like the two star random equipment/parts is high.

I haven't tracked my voyages in a long time, but may have to try doing so for a while.

Just recalled my current one at the 8h 44m 18s mark, SEC/SCI.

    13 honor (outside of dilemmas)
    20 gold, 82 purple, 64 blue trainers
    17 purple, 35 blue, 15 green rations

My current Voyage at the time I first read this thread, which had CMD as its secondary skill, was by far the luckiest Voyage I have ever seen, with respect to getting 4* crew :)

I have noticed MED primary seems to drop a LOT of 1/2* crew, but only spotty on 4*. Also gives ridiculous trainers and more replicator rations than ENG/SEC.

I agree I would like to start tracking this as well. I often cringe when I see MED/SCI as primary and/or secondary, because I know it will be less than ideal for rewards.

That's an interesting idea. I have absolutely noticed that sometimes i get 3 4* (though rare), but MANY of my 8hr voyages don't even return a single 3*... never thought it might be tied to skills :o

These are two recent voyages I kept extending because they kept dropping crew and rations.

Just finished a MED/ENG that dropped 6 purples, but I did run it over 12 hours (kept missing the mark while at work...) Another curious factor was that 3 of the 6 was new (first star). That doesn't happen that often for me anymore.

I had a CMD/SEC crew recently that I ran twice to 8+ hours each (no refills), and only 1 of them dropped a 4* (three, actually). The drops & dilemmas are entirely up to RNG, methinks. 🖖🏻

Would be interesting if there was a correlation, I've noticed that some voyages tend to award more Chrons, some accumulate 4* crew, etc. Never tied it to the stats presented though, always attributed it RNG.

I'll post my current Voyage data as well if it helps:

    Primary stat: DIP
    Secondary stat: MED
    Time: 19 Hrs, 24 Mins

    Honor: 628
    Credits: 96,400
    Chronitons: 1290

    4* Replicator Rations: 53
    3* Replicator Rations: 4

    4* Crew: 5
    3* Crew: 2
    2* Crew: 5

    5* Trainers: 234
    4* Trainers: 88
    3* Trainers: 24

    2* Components: 114
    1* Components: 39
    0* Components: 27

PS. Not sure if it's ever been mentioned elsewhere, but Spices are missing from the component drops. The other 20 all drop.
There's an old saying: "Fortune favors the bold." Well - I guess we're about to find out.

Preliminary Results, taken from 7 Voyages lasting between 8-10 hours, and 2 Voyages of 18.75 hours and 19.5 hours.

I will need much more data (At least 10 of each combo) with all combinations of skills as prim/sec to give a full analysis, just to see whether or not there is a pattern.

Combos Rewarding the LEAST amount of 4* crew
    CMD/MED, MED/SCI, SEC/MED
Rewarding the least amount of crew overall: SCI/MED

    From 8-10 hour voyages only:
    Rewarding the MOST 4* Crew: SCI/DIP, CMD/SCI
Rewarding the MOST Replicator Rations: MED/SCI, CMD/SCI
    Rewarding the MOST Chrons: SCI/DIP

Credits, Honor, and Trainers seem pretty even average across all skill sets so far. [interesting!]

I am leaning toward SCI/DIP & CMD/SCI for the best choices so far.

    More to come...

I'm recalling a security and science voyage now. I got to just over 7 hours. Just before 7 hours it dropped a purple crew, so I extended. Just before 8 hours it dropped another. Then no drops up to 14 hours when I recalled. It has a few ration drops, but nothing seeming significant. When I've had voyage dropping times, it has dropped far more. I would say security primary and science secondary is not worth extending for either crew or rations.

Is DIP the most common skill? It's my best skill. If it's everyone's, probably it is easier to get higher values and hence still be passing hazards after the 6 hour mark. Passing more hazards probably has more to do with getting better rewards than the skill itself. I don't think DB would make it that obvious how rewards are handed out given how intelligent the user base has been at figuring things out / finding glitches in the program. My best combo is DIP/SEC. Typically, this combo gives me my best voyages.

My best DIP crew isn’t as strong as my best crew in any other skill (just barely behind ENG) but I have 21 crew with a max combined skill of at least 1200 DIP, whereas COM is a distant second at 15 and SEC is next with 13. I look forward to DIP/COM voyages quite a lot.
