  • As ever, thank you. I'm excited about the event crew feature.

As ever, thank you. I'm excited about the event crew feature.

It's even more useful than the original intent: I just used it to identify a crew I didn't properly include as active/FF.

I checked the ammount displayed in the first tab with the in-game freezer (one was missing). In the Collections tab I noted the Diplomacy collection was missing someone. Used the event feature to narrow down the Diplomacy trait, applied some clever filters and BAM. Up-to-date roster, without double-checking 700+ individual crew.

Can't thank you enough for this spreadsheet @Leshy ! Kudos!

Technically they would be different characters. Maybe Boothby should be "Boothby 8472" to avoid confusion?

Haha, I always love it when things work in unexpected ways

The Variants column probably does contain errors or omissions – it is not always very clear as what character a crew is considered a variant of.

Incidentally, I would have thought that Boothby Replicant and Species 8472 Invader would be different characters (eg. different members of Species 8472 as @robownage also suggests), but the wiki does indeed list them as both variants of 'Species 8472'; I will update the sheet to match this. Thanks!

I have just used the sheet to determine my next projects .. Marking all my fully fused 4* cards as frozen, and checking the reason column to see which of the 49 cards list as best card of the bunch.

Apparently Tusky Mayweather would be a boon to my Eng crew currently, and Bazooka worf to my Sec crew for shuttles....

how about adding an 'Event' column that allows people to quickly tick any crew that would provide a bonus in the event of the week/month. Then the reason column would show 'Event Crew' similar to how the 'Keep' column shows 'Marked as keep'.
I have built in something similar to this request: you can now set the featured event crew, traits, variants and/or series on the Settings screen, at which point the Crew sheet marks the event crew as such.

I have added the series that each crew is from, and did a quick pass over the listed variants. There may be some discrepancies or omissions, however, especially as some crew do count in some odd ways for events. Feedback here is welcome!

Also, the latest crew are in, as per usual.

    Great Enhancements, I love them!

One thing that I noticed on the Series Column in Stats tab - the 3 "Augment" crew is a good example.
Augment Commander O'Brien, Augment Picard, Augment Riker. Picard has TNG listed, Riker has Enterprise listed, and O'Brien has nothing. And Riker was only on the last episode of ENT, but it was a simulation on the holodeck of ENT-D.

Obviously, none of them are Cannon, but special crew from DB. I was thinking perhaps this might call for a special designation for all crew like this. I am thinking of these, plus others like C.O.P. Picard, Prince Bashir, Stargazer Picard (???), Tuskegee Mayweather, and others. This would allow for the separation of these crew from the rest, if it doesn't interfere with other settings.
  • True, these are oddities. Even though Riker has appeared in TNG, DS9 (as Tom Riker) and Enterprise, I would think his primary should be TNG. How DB or other resources identify Augment Riker as Enterprise would probably be that Enterprise was the only modern series to have a story arc about Augments. There are inconsistencies throughout the character values, but at some point someone has collected data determining that these 'Originals' belong to certain series. Chef Riker belongs to both TNG and Enterprise, though if there were an Enterprise event, he might not be considered a bonus character due to his single appearance.

TL:DR - This only affects Event Crew settings which is still a work in progress.

@Leshy I think I found a bug in the spreadsheet: in preparing for the next event, I selected variants for Rom and Paris and the following appear (that should not): Owen Paris and Richard Daystrom.

I think the variants are being selected with "cell content contains", instead of an exact match of the cell content.

For all 4* and 5* crew, I pulled the series traits from the data as listed in the Big Book of Behold Advice (specifically, datacore.netlify.com/bigbook). I am not 100% certain on how they collected the data – it may actually have been mined from the game itself, but there are definitely a few oddities and inconsistencies, such as Augment Riker. I will probably update them according to what the wiki lists, and could introduce an 'Original' category for the DB-invented crew.

Thanks for reporting it; this is indeed the case.

Unfortunately an exact cell match will not work, given that there are several crew that count as multiple characters, which need to be selected (think Zhian'tara Odo being both Odo and Dax, or Tuvix being Tuvix, Tuvok, and Neelix).

At the very least I could make the match case-sensitive so that it does not match on things like Richard Daystrom, and I could rename Owen Paris to Owen; not sure that would fix all possible issues. I will have a look into it and see if there is a better solution.

Try sorting by Version and then Name on the Crew tab, on both sheets. Delete the first 3 rows with the title in them, they interfere with copy/paste (@Leshy? why are they still there, the tab names are sufficient?). Then copy column by column.

@Leshy , another variants note: Colonel Worf is not Worf (it is another character).

  • Hi!

I couldn't start my own discussion so I'd thought I'd ask here.

I'm having a hard time making cuts to my crew, and my spaces are full (2 over even). I've tried using the do not airlock list, but as I've not immortalized many crew yet that doesn't help a lot.

This is my current crew (it's not letting me post links, so copy paste the two parts):
    htt ps://drive.google.com/file/d/1IZGOkfyT8mY2TmwJoeHD7QIMXwq3JhrJ/view?usp=sharing

I know it's a lot to ask, but could someone look through and tell my which ones they would airlock? I'm looking to airlock any uncommon or rare crew that isn't useful. Preferably ones not levelled or fully starred.

What if find useful: good arena ability, good shuttle abilities, good voyager or gauntlet abilities, able to pass nodes not passable by any better crew I already have, and most importantly crew able to crit epic nodes in cadet challenges that isn't possible by crew I've already leveled/immortalized.

Hope someone is able and willing to help!

@NimJ You will need to copy this to your own drive. To track your non-immortalized crew, you can use just 2 extra columns, Starred and Level. Sorting by Recommendation; A-Z, Stars; Z-A, Starred; Z-A, Level; Z-A, and Name; A-Z, helps you know which crew are closest to being immortalized, sorted by their recommended use. Marking the FF column after immortalizing will allow the sheet to recalculate usefulness, dropping off those characters with less stats than those immortalized. I've added all your progress into this sheet, hope it helps!

It says i need everything, but itll give me a little more insight in everything so i can decide who to airlock

I am guessing you need to complete your cadet missions. Level 1 or 2 crew at a time so you don't end up with 50 half baked crew. Eventually you'll knock out the recommendations.
  • @NimJ (Sorry, this post turned long...)

    Which to keep
At this stage, don't worry too much about completionism - you don't need to immortalise every crew you come across. At later stages of the game, it's easy to get hold of lots of 1* and 2* crew. So don't feel bad about airlocking someone - they will come around again. Keep anyone you've made progress with, and generally prioritise raising the ones you have fully fused.

There are rewards for immortalising a total number of crew, so you might come back to the less good crew in future, when it'll be much easier to finish them off while doing other things.

Crew with three different stats (eg CMD+DIP+SEC) are numerically better than those with two, and all are better than one-stat crew. You'll want to cover every skill in a few different combinations; MED is difficult to get hold of early game, so crew like Nurse Kes will do well for you.

Don't keep duplicates, not until you're pretty late game and know what you're doing.

    Short and med-term goals
The trajectory of the game means that as you build up your roster, you'll gradually replace your 2* crew with 3* with better totals of the same stats, after which time you can freeze the 2*. Then the same process with 4* crew and I'm juuuust about reaching the stage where I've got a couple of 5* crew finished, and they make a big difference.

This general trajectory means that it's always worth finishing off your current crew and immortalising them as and when you can. (Also, the last items from lv90-100 make the most difference to their stats, so it's worth it numerically too.)

There are lots of different features and things to do and it can be tricky knowing where to focus. As a new player, do try to play the Cadet Challenges. They give you items you can only otherwise get from shuttles. You might not be able to do the weekend cadet challenges yet because they require 3* crew. Just do what you can.

    Warp, completing missions, locked nodes
I mention warp because I didn't know about the feature for AGES and felt so stupid for manually doing all those missions to grind for items.

When you fully complete a mission at its highest difficulty (that's Elite, and getting all the rare rewards from it so it shows up as three stars), you unlock the "warp" feature. That lets you instantly complete the mission by paying the chroniton cost. Notably, you don't need to have crew in your active roster who are able to complete the mission in order to do this.

This becomes especially relevant with cadet missions, because it means once you've fully completed them, you can do them in future and don't need the specific 2* crew to hand. Once you start being able to put your 2*s away in the freezer, this will save you valuable crew slots.

You will find some missions have 'locked nodes' that require a special trait, like Vulcan or Pilot. If you don't yet have a crew who can unlock these, don't worry too much. The spreadsheet will tell you which crew can complete those nodes, which is what all the weird names like "Into the Lion's Den" in the notes column refer to.

The Event Crew erroneous selection of crew with partially matching names should now be fixed; let me know if you still encounter issues with it.
