In my fishing for more La Rouques, I ended up with three more Gangster Kirks.
Might as well make a second copy for the Kirk event next week.
So your the one that stole my 4th star of Gangster Kirk, I ended up with 6 Anastasia's and a 2nd star for mirror intendant Kira must have bought only Kira packs instead of event packs.

Weirdly I am finding that I am using Nexus Kirk make a shuttle filler although I suppose I should be putting Platonian Kirk in the COM SEC seat instead but Nexus Kirk seems to be the "automatic" favourite over him.

I've been running a constant 8 shuttles from the start, usually 4 with 3* time reducers and 4 with rental tokens, and have been hovering between rank 25-45. But the next batch that comes back will give me the last star I need to immortalize Gangster Kirk, and I've burned about half my reserves of time reducers and rental tokens.
I considered keeping up this pace, but that would exhaust my reserves and there's no meaningful difference between rank 26 and rank 1500. So I've decided that for the rest of the event I'll stick with groups of 4 shuttles at 3 hours each. I'll start dropping ranks quickly I imagine, but as long as I end up above 1500, I'll be happy.
I’m happy with how the event has gone so far. I missed a little time yesterday due to connection issues and delays from the holiday but still knocked out over 95,000 VP before midnight. Although I am out of tokens (and don’t really want to buy the special deal or the campaign), I hope I have enough 3*/4*/5* boosts left to both make 400,000 for the final star on Gangster Kirk and stay in the top 1500.

Good luck. I've used more 3* boosts than I expected to stay in top 1,500. I recommend staying on top of it early because the end gets brutal.
Rarified air for me right now. I’ve been managing to send out eight shuttles at a time, four with doublers and four with a boost to get them over 80%. The doublers have been easier with work today. I can probably ease off a bit but I haven’t touched my reducers yet so I could use those through tomorrow.
I don’t mind using my stock but I don’t want to waste them either.
I am trying to balance out Skill Boosts, Time Boosts and rentals. I have skill boosts to spare, but dont want to blow through my horde of rentals and time boosts.
I havent touched my doublers, cause they are in the shortest supply.
Currently I am hovering between rank 200 and 400 depending on the hour. But I am performing in better VP than previous faction events.
I'm about 150 right now with a constant stream of shuttles and a bunch of boosts. My plan is to slow down after I hit 400K. I always try to hit the start very hard to boost numbers and intimidate other players. I never try to hover around top 1500. You will regret it if you do. I hit hard and then allow myself to drop to hover around 1000. That top 1500 has about 500 on either side that fluctuates wildly.
I am noticing the NEED to send at least 6-7 shuttles per 3 hour block just to stay in the top 1500!
Why does everyone want Kirk so badly?
For me, Wrath of Khan was the first Trek movie I remember recording on VHS and watching over and over again. The nacelle being blown off the Reliant made my six year old heart skip a beat. And the uniforms. Best in Trek.
With mostly 3* boosters and 6 shuttles. Still have a decent surplus of tokens and 4* boosts left. I’ve settled into just normal 3 hours and maintaining decently here.

Nor Kirk per se, but tokens.
I used to just fish for the 4 3-seaters and let the rest go, now I may as well run them for extra VP.
I usually hoard items, but having found myself with 70-odd of the tokens I'm now down to 42. I've hundreds of 3* boosts as I generally only use the timers a lot of the time, so they get chucked it to bump the % a bit.
There's no point hoarding them, as if you want to hit first spot in Faction events you had better be prepared to part with some dilithium, and I'm not going to do that, so may as well use them to try and bump myself up the rankings a little. I was in the 200 range a little while back, and I'm content with a top 1k finish, so maybe I'll just use the rest defensively. Or maybe I'll go nuts. Not sure!
They've really inflated VP levels that are needed.
This Kirk is just the ICIIIIIIIIIING on the Khan-shaped cake.
I do not, TOS is not teasing to me, and the movies are even less. But I had no chance anyway so have fun fighting over him.
I'm not even really looking forward to 1* Gangster Kirk.
I hope for 3 Anastasias to immo her. I have been hanging around 1900 to 2200 for a while now - I hope it stays like this.

What do you guys think of his stats thou? I am thinking that he is worth the citations, based on his security stat alone.
Plus for me I am kind of weak on the Sec/eng combo, so even better reason maybe. Plus out of all the Kirks ,(not really a kirk fan) he is probably the one I like the most.
Fan-dom aside, almost every Kirk except Survivalist is a CMD/SEC/DIP variant. Wrathful has ENG, and even as a tertiary, that makes him pretty unique. Also, see below.

If you like High Roller Sisko (campaign) because of his SEC stat, then there is no reason not to like Kirk as well. Their numbers are fairly equivalent. I'd be an advocate for citing up Khaaaaan Kirk.

Funny, but I do the EXACT opposite (although this is partially and in no small way due to my sleep/work schedule). I stay up until 0900 local time just long enough to share a crew, then I sleep for 6-7 hours. I wake up in the afternoon and "catch up" doing a normal routine as if I was starting when the event began. Once up to 4K shuttles I run a few rounds of shuttles using 3* time reducers to get the top 1.5K in sight (usually around 2.2K) and then I send boosted shuttles EVERY 3 hours (may as well take advantage of the fact I rarely get to sleep!) for two days straight, prefering quality over quantity (ie I try to maintain constant pressure by never missing a cycle, and failing as few as possible). Doing this I gain around 100ish ranks every cycle until I approach the top 1.5K, at which point I start to slowly increase my scoring by doing whatever needs doing (sending additional shuttles, sending a few waves of 3* time reducers, etc) to build momentum, I feel it takes on an aura of inevitibility this way, and let's me gauge how much "gas" I need, which helps me conserve for next time.
++++++++++++++++
Shifting gears, has anybody else noticed a higher than expected failure rate in phase 2? I've failed 12 of my last 30 shuttles, and I've not once sent a shuttle with a listed success chance less than 89% (most are mid 90s%).
-EDIT-
Make that 14 of my last 35. I am sending out 5 shuttles at a time and literally failing 2 of 5 each cycle, this is ridiculous!
I have around 66 to 82 % chances and fail 1 to 2 shuttles out of 6 I constantly run. Looks ok for me.

My luck from the Reno packs didn’t hold. I had pulled 3 last time, 3 Reno’s. This time 8 packs. No Kirk or La Rouques. *sigh*

There and beyond. Anything after here is Bonus Stuff!!!!!

🖖🏻
I still can't believe after three years that STT didn't have one of the arguably most iconic moments for this character in the game yet.
So its @SunshineRiker 's fault there is such a race for rank.
Get him!

I'll chase him round the moons of Nibia and round the Antares maelstrom and round Perdition's flames before I give him up.

2) for the stats
3) for his usefulness and bonus for next weeks skirmish
But mostly for the awesomeness.
Oh and I recommend watching wrath of Khan in German that scene is awesome.
