I have 30 of them. I don't use them often. I generally use 1 each portion of galaxy events and once in a while other times. I once had 35 of them. They simply collect faster than I bother to use them.

It might be worth adding: I don't use them outside of events, so it's typically just 1 per galaxy/skirmish phase, and none in faction. So faction weeks are when they accumulate for me.

I am really tired of galaxies, and last week depleted the majority of my chrons. I quit this week at Rikers uniform, so I could start rebuilding chron stockpile for next week. I will just buy Dorn Q and work on getting Amanda.

I, too, am disappointed in no new ship, if even a new 2,3, or 4*. Ah well...

I like hybrid faction/galaxies better. Four days of losing chrons and not getting any honor back like you do with skirmishes is annoying. Plus I do not want to spend a bunch of supply kits. But for DB I guess people buy those chrons so it is profitable for them.

Even with the current frequency of Galaxy and Skirmish events that I participate in, my supply kit stockpile keeps going up...I’m over 20 right now.

Hmm, I am curious on what your strategy is for using supply kits in full galaxy events.

It’s nothing special: whether or not I am trying to rank, I tend to have more time for the event on Fridays and Saturday morning. I’ll pop a supply kit usually around noon Friday and grind through at least the 130k or 160k threshold. If I am not interested in making a top-1500 run, that’ll be it - I’ll cash in rates after phase change and whatever happens, happens. If I do want to rank, I will then probably wait until Sunday night to grind much more, to get at least a decent feel for where I need to aim to maintain rank. Pop another kit then and that lasts past the end of the event.

I don’t go for rank often in Galaxies because I really can’t stand the constant tapping for little more than a 1/5* crew. For most Galaxy events I end up getting +1 to my supply kit stash and even when I try I break even. In a Skirmish I will pop a kit usually on Thursday, unload 10,000-20,000 chrons of ship battles (to refill mostly 3*/4* components, plus some of the more necessary items of lower rarities, and stock up on holoemitters) and then end the event with way more intel than I can ever use. Again, I end up +1 from the event.

Faction/Galaxy Hybrids are similar to Galaxies for me, at least in phase 2 - if I am going for rank, I’ll pop one on Sunday afternoon or night and use it through the morning. If I am not going for rank, I’ll just use the Faction half to clear thresholds through 160k. Hybrid weeks are usually +2 to the stockpile, again because I hate Galaxy-style tapping and will pass on all but the most exciting ranked reward crew in them.

And then there is another +1 a week for Faction events. Sometimes these will get used when I need to level bonus/event crew and manage to run out of something, but I don’t run out of items very much anymore thanks to Skirmish farming. I’m sitting on 22 supply kits right now and, barring any surprises, will hit at least 25 by the end of the month. 26 if I don’t care much for the ranked 5* from the final event of the mega.

I have 15 supply kits. In a full galaxy, I typically use 2. First on Thursday whenever I get started. Second on Saturday sometime after phase change. In both instances, I farm everything I think I need all at once. Then I just craft at my leisure for the next 2 days. Since they also give us 2 kits in each full galaxy, I stay even. It's a rare occasion when I would need to use a third one since any extra farming can be done on Sunday before the second kit runs out.

Interesting. I do two as well but I do one on thursday about three hrs into the event. Do the event rest of Thursday then farm hard Friday morning so I can go all day Friday. Then I take Saturday off. Then I use my second supply kit Sunday about same time of time of day as I did the first supply kit. That way I can go all Sunday getting as many items as needed for the rank I want then still have a little supply kit for after event ends and levelling up the new legendary for the next event. Course the next event this time is a skirmish so I will lvl Q2 up then.
    Let’s fly!

I refuse to spend more than 4 hours on Galaxy events. So I start the kit on Sunday evening and clear the threshold (around 3 hours including dinner in between). On Monday I check back 1 hour before the event ends (so around 5 PM here) and finish what is required to reach my goal which is always to FF the ranked 4* crew. After that I spend the remaining chrons with the kit and go back to renerate-and-use-away-mode until it is time for stockpiling again.

Skirmishes I do like @Prime LorQa [10F] but rather with 150k - 200k Intel instead of 300k. I cannot stand to see them go to waste but more than 12 hours of overall Skirmish I cannot take.

Yeah... It takes me something like 16 hours, but... I try to find the time. I didn't get them all used last time. But I farmed a lot, so I don't see it as a waste. I didn't use any chronitons on the following Galaxy. :)

You are right, they are not wasted if you farmed stuff with a kit running. Still having unused Intel in the end bothers me so I avoid it. And I always have so many crew to dress up that I need away missions anyway as even with the worst chron/gain ratio (which I avoid on the second turn) some items are just not available in space battles.

From the second Q episode “Hide and Q”, it’s where we see Marshal Q also.

aye I remember now, it was just a quick flash, not like a real character;)
  • 5.8 seconds of screen time? More than enough for a purple.
Truly irrelevant sidekick character? Powerful Legendary.
Major character in an entire episode? Wait forever

I'll run out of chronitons, I'm sure. I wonder if this will affect how many people go for broke in this current week's event.

Well we knew even before the start of the Mega that Skirmishes would be in week 2. So if i had to choose between burning my entire chrons on the galaxy before, or doing it on the skirmishes, where you get some great loot and chrons on top, my vote would have been easy. But thats just me.

This. The only reason to burn hard in this week’s event is if you really like Q2 either by himself or as help for the last two events of the month.

I think what makes this week extra painful from a chroniton standpoint is that it's also the first week that Q as God is available, so even if you don't go hard on the event, you might have to burn additional chronitons to level him up in anticipation for the rest of the mega event.

If you play on a mobile OS that supports ad-warps, it is possible to clear the threshold rewards by completing ~60 Skirmishes, without using any chronitons. The downside is that you have to tap on a shipload of ads. 🖖

Skirmishes are definitely tedious but I get on average 18k in honor from a skirmish along with lots of credits.

  • I actually enjoy the first few battles, I really like testing different crew lineups. Most skirmishes I end up with at least one different crew member than the standard (plus different event crew of course). But then... It gets so tedious. Most skirmishes I even hadn't the nerves to go beyond 130k.
  • I do like the name of this event. In fact, that should be the name for the regular gauntlets
  • Amanda Rodgers and a xindi 5*.
    HAPPY!
  • I really hope Data Q has an awesome ship ability because otherwise we’re a bit lacking. I mean, the others are fine, not bad or anything, just a bit slow to activate with mediocre punches to them.
Weirdly enough, I’m also Vulcan Housewife. Also, RNGesus hates me, like really, REALLY hates me.

Yup. Dolim and GodQ have awful ship abilities.

Q2 has decent ship ability so I will use him.

This is definitely a "warm body and full VP" event crew roster for this skirmish, unless Data Q is usable. Otherwise I won't sweat it and make do with 3/4 of my regular Arena crew.

They're there. They're just not discounted as previous packs were. There's another thread about that.
