He was in charge, so command is certainly a very good possibility. He also seems a safe bet for diplomacy. I don't see where science comes in, but I suppose Star Trek often blurs the line with science and science philosophy so they could consider magic time crystals as science. Med is a slim possibility since he acts like a councilor in a way. I figure there is absolutely no call for security or engineering.
I would put Diplomacy first and probably command second. Possibly a bit of science or even med.

That's the combinations I'm hoping for. I think CMD as a first skill would also make sense, though.
On a different note, is Zora the only DSC 4* with a MED skill or did I miss someone when checking the vault?
You missed Siranna.
Right! Thank you
Happy to help. And on the thawing note, I found that Commander Ellen Landry has the weakest stats, and it's not even close. Anyone with a deep roster would probably do well to leave her in the freezer.

Landry is definite freezer bait; for next week, Duchamps and Defiant Commander Worf are also pretty poor if you have a lot of other bonus crew. Even someone like Prison Break Lorca is maybe only going to be helpful for those without a lot of bonus crew or who will be using a lot of tokens.

Prisoner Cornwell is a good 5* if you were playing when she was the mega event recurring.
As to unfreezing crew, last Discovery Mega I unfroze all my stamets, sarus, and burnhams and there was almost no science anywhere the whole mega.
Yes, I have Cornwell immortal, but I don't have any other 5* DSC crew with primary or secondary MED, so I was looking for 4* alternatives to unfreeze. I hope there won't be too many MED shuttles
@Shan Amanda Grayson isn't on your list, but she certainly is part of Discovery Cast, I realize she is not part of the Crew of the Discovery itself, but Rejac, Voq, Mudd, L'Rell, Po, Kol and many others aren't also part of Discovery Crew either and are on that list. Can you confirm whether she will have bonus or not?

I'm just going to pull this over from the Most Wanted thread.
DB original: Rebellious Teenager Amanda Grayson (which would qualify as Discovery)
I assumed Acting Captain Pike was a placeholder name (that someone forgot to change) for New Eden Pike. At least NE Pike is an announced character, yet that name is not in the posted list. I'm probably wrong though, and the actual error is forgetting to include NE Pike in the list.

There never really are many MED shuttles anyway ...
In generally, the best 4*s to defrost will be something like:
ENG
- Time Loop Mudd - highest 4* ENG, but still quite low, so a 5* would be better here ... I unfortunately don't have a better option.
MED
- Siranna - but many should have Cornwell ... also comes in behind a 1/5 Pollard or Cubler ... if you have these crew then probably not really worth it as usually there aren't a million MED seats.
SCI
- Fugitive Spock
- Grad. Burnham ... the main thing here is SCI is well represented amongst Disco crew ... e.g. I have 4 5*s that have good base SCI that are similar or better to these two crew.
SEC
- Section 31 Georgiou ... again, well represented amongst 5*s , so will depend on the number of SEC seats if you defrost Lt. Ash Tyler ... see below for week 1.
DIP
- Armed Georgiou
- Zora
- Voq ... depending on your 5* crew you might need to go deeper (Celebratory Ash) ... but probably not.
CMD
- Prison Break Lorca
- Detmer ... the rest of the 4*s are too weak, so you'll be banking on 5*s and other bonus crew (see below).
Week 1
- Civil War Worf (SEC)
- Sheriff Worf (CMD)
- Ba'Ku Worf (SEC) ... debatable ... depends on seats and is a better option than Lt. Tyler for week 1 ... so you can defrost Worf and wait until we know the bonus crew for week 2 to decide to defrost this Tyler or not ...
Keep Frozen
The following are too poor or too deep in the depth ranking to really consider, unless you have hardly any Disco crew.
- Airam
- Tactical Burnham
- Commander Landry
- Sarek
- First Officer Saru
- Reinforcements Stamets (both Stamets and Saru have too many better SCI options in front of them, unless there is a very specific shuttle seat e.g. SCI & CMD (Saru) where they would excel).
- Week 1 ... all other 4* Worf variants, don't even bother considering them.
There have been some crew I've not mentioned and they can be okay in the right situation, but are probably not good enough.
Remember ... Week 2 is only partial faction and week 3 is Skirmish so any crew you are defrosting needs to be ideal for week 1 because you'll not really use them until week 4 again ... by which time you'll have picked up a bunch more event crew ...
EDIT: I forgot to add ... I'm assuming that you (the reader) are:
- running 4-6 shuttles per turn on average and picking optimal shuttles (i.e. not 4 5-seaters) ... but 2 3-seaters and 2 4-seaters for your fave faction ...
- will level the mega-event 5* (and cite him) the moment you get him in ...
- will level and equip New Eden Owosekun for use on the last 2 or 3 days for sure ...
- will have a Squad Leader who shares their best crew (e.g. wk 1 at least a 1/5 New Eden Pike (DIP) or immortal Cornwell (MED/DIP)).
I may have missed it in previous threads, but where do we stand on New Eden Pike's strength? What # on voyages and what not is he? Can't decide if he's worth starring up or not

I would wait till Wednesday to make a judgement because then you can see the stats and skills of not just Pike, but Tennavik and the Ba'ul guy as well.

Great point. At this point, I'm assuming I will probably add a final star to Tennavik, but if he's statistical dud like Minuet or T'Kuvma, I won't bother.

I like to wait on the star for the mega recurring legendary and buy the discount event month wrap up packs at the end. Always a chance of getting the final star there and saving 50k or a citation.

I could see waiting until after the Skirmish, but I would add a star before the Week 4 Faction event, simply because of the huge increase in base stats for shuttle missions.
“The schedule of events will be as follows:
Faction Event "Crime of Last Century" - 10/03
Hybrid Faction/Galaxy Event "One Step Behind" - 10/10
Skirmish Event "When Words Fail" - 10/17
Faction Event "Everywhere At Once" - 10/24”

CMD/SCI is secondary and tertiary stats. He really has a top 10 voyage score with that?
The algorithm I use factors in anyone who has both skills, and then ranks by total voyage score. So he'll be #8 in terms of boost to overall voyage score for CMD/SCI voyages, but not necessarily the best boost to that specific skill combination.

I like the option of buying the discount packs at the end without having to be worried about getting a legendary recurring I had just immortalized. It might cost me a little in the events but I can supplement that with other crew or using a purple super rare skill boost instead of the standard blue rare one.

Was working through my Discovery crew to figure out who to unfreeze. I don't recognize this card name?
He's definitely not in the vault yet. I'm assuming he'll be a new 2* or 3* available in thresholds/rank. Probably Handsome Mount in Disco blues.

I would wait till Wednesday to make a judgement because then you can see the stats and skills of not just Pike, but Tennavik and the Ba'ul guy as well.
Pike:
#22 Voyager, #6 DIP Base
Voyage Ranks: #8 CMD/DIP, #8 CMD/SCI, #7 DIP/SCI
Shuttle Ranks: #5 CMD/DIP
Sato, on the other hand:
#118 Voyager, #1 DIP Base
Shuttle Ranks: #1 CMD/DIP, #3 DIP/ENG, #4 DIP/SEC, #1 DIP/SCI, #2 DIP/MED
So Pike is clearly the better Voyage option, while Sato is overwhelmingly the best DIP shuttler in the game.
Great point. At this point, I'm assuming I will probably add a final star to Tennavik, but if he's statistical dud like Minuet or T'Kuvma, I won't bother.

Sounds like they’re different enough, despite the fact that they’re both DIP primary, that FF one shouldn’t preclude FF the other.
