as for Garth, I'm just happy he's not 2 skill. I honestly expected him to be COM/SEC, because he sure wasn't diplomatic in his appearance. I guess an argument could be made for SCI because of his shapeshifting ability, but I don't think it was ever elaborated on how he could do that, just that it was taught to him.
That’s why I was thinking ENG instead of DIP...he reconfigured that therapy chair into an agonizer. Anyway, I am leaning towards taking the citation I was saving for Garth and using it on Gladiator Spock instead. I have plenty of COM/SEC among my existing crew and can always try for a fifth star on Garth with the wrap-up packs.
Garth is 400% instant damage at 6 s initialization. Gonna make arena a bit more competitive.
Killy has better passive stats, but she also has that Evasion handicap (-3). It will be interesting to compare their performances in both the Arena and this Skirmish event. 🖖

The stats of Chapel are extremely bad, straight from 2016 (not a good thing when we compare her to let's say Roman Captive Kirk) and Garth's skill set is really disappointing as it doesn't even reflect the character, but I'm glad DB matched his ship ability and the lore. All in all, while not terribly excited because of all these extremely boring cmd/dip/x, I'm not hugely disappointed either. I'm calling this mega "meh-ga".

It would be nice if more players actually tried in Admiral division. Maybe this will get a few more players to expand the reward tiers.

The Krayton stifles Admiral division. Also, there is so much to do to reach dailies for campaign that I think many just play five quick losing battles to complete the daily achievement for arena. I know I did that last month after the arena rewards got my ship to lvl10.

Sometimes I'll run all ten tickets just to minimize how many chronitons I'm spending to meet the daily targets. I'm often awake when the clock resets, so I'll knock out a few Admiral division wins for the full 120 schematics. After that, I run unmanned ships to give others easy pickings throughout the day.
I hope that Brainless Spock's appearance means that we are now that much closer to getting the Bones from that episode. Either...
Enhanced Intelligence McCoy
...or...
Disremembering McCoy
And I also hope that he'd be a Legendary. Although I guess we still don't have any 2* variants of Bones, so I suppose I could be convinced if they wanted to make sweaty, forgetting McCoy a 2*.
Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing. ~ Data, ST:TNG "Haven"
brainless Spock, could be followed up by disassembled Lore, Dream program Data with the telephone inside, Data's head from Times Arrow and top top it off Troi Cake. could be start of a collection called "Not catching us at our best"
Could it be the Uhura who, along with Chapel, led an all-female rescue party in TAS episode 'The Lorelei Signal'?
I'll be damned. It IS TAS Uhura! The ship ability name confirms it.
Nice, but also means that character isnt TOS, so no variant bonus for the rest of the mega.
No, she will be. Any variants of the TOS crew who qualify for the bonus will also get the bonus, as long as they are played by the same actor. Presumably, if we had Admiral McCoy from TNG in the game, he would definitely get a bonus, for instance.

It‘s really a shame that new crew with such a great artwork as C. Chapel
has such poor status.
Has anyone pulled Brainless Spock today? I spent 20 mil in credits trying but nothing
He is probably not in the pool yet. New 2* normally get added only after a portal update. Only way to get him is event.
New 2 stars are usually added right away. People usually spend millions in credits trying to pull new 2 star cards before the event starts. They show up in voyages ahead of events too

No it varies. There is no guarantee that brainless Spock is in the pool.
I remember having to wait what seemed like forever for Gia Odo since I started after his event. I believe Festive Jadzia was similar, but I got her. But most new 2* go straight to the portal.
When they added Red Shirt Geordi I got him in a voyage the day before the event. I remember clearly because I hurried up and recalled to try to get first to max but he already was
Regarding Garth... Good art, and I'm ok with his skill set, though I do agree that one of the STEM skills could have replaced DIP. My main gripe is that I would have designed him as a strong-proficiency card rather than a base-stat card. He's insane - some days, that would allow him to achieve great things (even if only in his own mind), but his base capabilities while institutionalized wouldn't be terribly great.

Regardless, I like him.
The thing about recurring megas being great proficiency cards is they become gauntlet walls. When you give everyone the same great gauntlet card it's going to happen.
Also, you only need a 1/5 for maximum proficiency which is much easier for players to get.
So from a gameplay perspective, having a good base/voyage crew as a recurring mega character helps players more and doesn't have the negative gauntlet wall side effect.
So, Christine Chapel, who is a NURSE at this point in her career, has "Physician" Trait, but DOCTOR Prisoner Katrina Cornwell, who actually uses her medical specialty while a prisoner, does not?!?!?
==========================
"Rescue Team Uhura" appears to be the one someone mentioned the other day, from the Animated Series?
Could it be the Uhura who, along with Chapel, led an all-female rescue party in TAS episode 'The Lorelei Signal'?
I hope we get a new 2* every week of the Mega!!!!!!!
I'm in agreement with you here regarding Uhura from the Animated Series. And on that note...shouldn't Arex then be considered for bridge crew bonus?
Fleet Admiral - Dazed & Confused 🤸🤸🙃 We are still waiting for Enterprise B, the Delta Flyer, and a Runabout! We should also have a TNG season 1 red shirt LT JG Worf, and a "Far Beyond The Stars" DS9 episode crew collection!

Quoting so my other post is in this post. Since I have several things, and the first thing is VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!
I did not mean ANYTHING negative about nurses in my other post. I was NOT disparaging, mocking, or disrespecting nurses in ANY way. Just was pointing out that she has the "Doctor" Trait even though she did not become a Doctor until years later. And Prisoner Katrina Cornwell was established early on to be a doctor, and even used her specific specialty while she was a prisoner on the Klingon ship.

Second, Is Brainless Spock the first TOS 2* since Losira? I do not remember another, if there was one.
=============================
Third, what is the over/under on how many enemy Ships will have "Boarding Party", since it appears to be a Skirmish designer favorite?

I’m sure she’ll count for the rest of the mega. They’re counting movie versions of the TOS crew so animated should count too

Arex, and you could probably make a case for Robert April. And then there's Pike/Number One.
