Also, it occurs to me: Are we denying Airiam's post-engineered humanity by calling her pre-enginered self "Human Airiam"? That seems kinda wrong.
Absolutely! This needs to be changed.

Honestly, it's not really any different than "Human Torres", when you think about it.
Really, it is quite different. B'elanna Torres was half-Human and half-Klingon. Aliens used advanced genetic medical technology to separate her into two unique entities, one purely Human, one purely Klingon.
Airiam was a Human, whose life was saved after disastrous injuries, by technology. If she isn't still Human, then neither is Picard. Not is Tribunal Pike. Nor is Annika Hansen. Tuvok is no longer Vulcan, because he has a prostatic elbow.

Tuvok's elbow conducts electricity...?

This!
My issue with Human Airiam is less the "inhumanity" it implies for her later self but rather that it is just a super-stupid name. They better find out her first (last?) name from the writers!
If they cannot my vote goes for "Tourist Airiam".

Hopefully, we will see "Disabled Pike" response, rather than "Pining Vina" response. That name still bugs. Well over half the strongest characters in the series are female. Naming her "Pining Vina", like she is less of a person without her "man" just rubs me so much the wrong way.
EDIT: What if she is Amish? Mariam Airiam.......

No, is exactly the same. Any human with cybernetic implants technically is a cyborg. Picard's heart makes him one. Tuvok and and anyone else who have technology replaced parts. Human Torres is Torres without the Klingon half. A human cyborg is still a human. But an Airiam without the cybernetics is distinguishablly just a human. Calling the cyborg Airiam a Cyborg literally acknowledges she is a human with replaced parts.
Picard, with his heart is a cyborg. To acknowledge an Annika as not Borg, she would have to not have her Borg implants. The card which calls her only human is taken from the private collective in which none of them had them, so that version of her is purely human.
The character of Picard, from the abomination CBS made with characters from previous series, at the very end is definitely no longer human.
A cyborg is a hybrid of biological and technology, the same way Torres is typically a hybrid of human and Klingon. This is a fake issue.
Wow, when a couple of my teeth had to be replaced with a dental bridge...I had no idea they were turning me into a cyborg

Dictionary definition; a person whose physiological functioning is aided by or dependent upon a mechanical or electronic device.
I did not make this definition, I copy pasted it. I do apologize if this upsets anyone with dental implants, a hip replacement or an artificial limb.
I’m not sure dental implants are considered mechanical, nor all prosthetics, although some definitely fall under that category. A hip replacement... I think maybe.
I think it would depend on the implant, as well as whether you are using the word mechanical in the context of a verb, noun, or adjective. The function of teeth is to break down food using mechanical motion. Teeth would then be mechanical parts, organically constructed, replacement teeth are mechanical parts mechanically constructed. Without them the mechanics of chewing wouldn't function. My brother would be crushed to know his dental implant doesn't make him a cyborg, he seems to like the idea.
Regardless, I'm glad to see that I was able to end the silly conversation about Airiam's humanity by providing others something else to nitpick.
Whether they are or aren't mechanical, if they are, and it makes them cyborgs, I only hope they continue to identify with their human half. As long as they pick the right side when the android uprising/apocalypse happens. We must continue to recognize and celebrate the humanity of all the cyborgs around us.

Interesting definition. (I love it!) If we go by it... people with pacemakers or implantable cardioverter-defibrillators or wearable insulin pumps = yes, definitely.

Silly, insulin pumps don't make someone a cyborg. ...They make someone a Jem Hadar. 😁

Couldn t care less about the name of a 3* that goes straight into freezer
and will never ever be seen again. 🤗
I will remind you of this when we get "Romulan Elnor" or "Vulcan Sarek".

Probably get thread locked if made other examples, using Sulu, Uhura, or Sisko. Which is funny, in a non-"ha ha" way. Putting their race in front of their name on a Crew Card would likely offend or make indignant a lot of the same people saying this name is fine.
Just an observation.

Ha! Sorry, I didn’t mean to nitpick. I actually enjoyed your argument and just went too far down the rabbit hole.
I roughly estimate super rares as worth 100K VP per 300 super rares. This is not completely accurate, but holds true the more you have and is a good simple estimate. When I compete for top 1500, I go for 350 or 400K VP and then turn in all my super rares to get over 600K VP. Top 1500 can be as low as 550K and as high as 700K, but is usually around 600K in a galaxy event.
According to the spreadsheet I threw together several events back, 324 super rares will get you 102,680 VP.
3270 super rares will net you a cool 1,009,840 VP.

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.
