  • I wish they’d add a quick build function to galaxy events. I’m loving the skip and auto on space battles!

I'm not sure what the logistics of the Super Rare drops would be if you crafted all three of the components simultaneously, but yeah, the fewer times I have to click to build something, the less I'll hate the format.

I really hope they don’t. The time spent factor and the grind is what turns people away and gives me an advantage.

Must be nice to enjoy that advantage in an event format that still gets regular use.

Which is why I'm not crazy about the skirmish changes. Time is the limiting factor in these events not resources. So the more the events are made to run faster the higher the VP and resources needed for them will go. The time spent will stay the same.

I think that for galaxy, like skirmish events, this kind of changes would only affect the players competing for top 50. While this means that anyone who is ftp or a low spender would be cut out definitely from winning them, I don't think that it would really impact anyone who goes for thresholds and out or for a rank between 1000 and 1500. And it would make the events a lot more enjoyable for the second group (which is a huge group of players).

But I guess we'll have to wait for the next skirmish to see how things will actually go.

I am also in the "wait and see" camp. Resources will play a bigger role, for sure. But there will still be a lot of tapping and some animation time. The reduced time factor will make an impact, but I want to see how heavy the impact and where it hits hardest.

I just have a general question about Faction Events. If I do not claim the rewards for a successful faction before the event ends, do I lose the VP points I would have won? For example, the events usually end in the morning before I usually wake up, so I often claim the shuttle rewards after the event is over, but I do not know if the VP points are counted anyways or not.

You need to claim shuttles before the event ends. Your rank will not be updated with the new VP until you claim the shuttles.

You have to complete them before the event ends.
  • 5* Reginod with Massive ENG base please. :D
  • Love the old school "Cricket" Phaser.

I think if the shuttle returns before the event ends it needs to count. This seems kindof unfair really.

Has anyone else noticed crew that lack the THIEF trait? Safecracker Nog and Time-Loop Mudd both noticeably lack it and I would think all of the Merry Men NG crew would have it, but they don't either. Off to look at my frozen crew since I only have six thieves in quarters and want an idea for potential surrogates for Grebnedlog until I get him. Prof. Scott is immortal, so that is covered.

In the past, some folks here (including yours truly, IIRC) have requested an "auto-collect" option for shuttles (once they've completed their allotted time), specifically event shuttles. It would indeed be a nice addition.

Sorry for the double post. I didn't spot this earlier. I'd settle for a fast link to returned shuttles and low anti-matter voyages in the notifications. Collect or recall without going through the usually start up sequence would be great. Sitting through three ads/notices while trying to get to get to something time sensitive tends to set off my temper...and that is never good.

I had 5 shuttles outstanding this event that finished before the event end, but I took my dog to the park and didn't watch the time. Fortunately, I made it in the top 1500, anyway, but by a razor margin. But it was my own fault.
  • From what I've read in the original comment about shuttles claimed after the event ends, this players lives in a time zone where they're asleep when the event ends. Now I don't know at what time exactly it ends there, but I can see why that would be annoying.

And in that case, the OP was awake earlier in the day running shuttles while people in the US were sleeping. The events last 96 hours. Everyone has 4 nights of sleep that cut into shuttle time. Yes it's feels extra rough when it happens at the end of the event, but an hour is an hour regardless of where it falls. It's not that the OP lost rank at the end of the event, other players caught back up and returned to the steady state that the OP pulled away from when the OP was playing while other players were sleeping.

The Mega Event will be announced later but I can tell you that it starts on 06/11 for the month of June :)

Is this an exception or can we expect all future Megas to start in week 2
of the month now, instead as „usually“ in week1(first Thursday)?

Scheduling will vary, it is neither an exception nor something set in stone for the future :)

While I kind of agree with this, I also disagree. Awake players can recall shuttles with dilithium. Sleeping players cannot.

Set your alarm clock, wake yourself up, claim your shuttles (and resend if the event is still ongoing), go back to sleep. It's not too difficult unless you sleep like a rock. I apologize if I sound like a jerk. But you do what you have to do.
Fleet Admiral - Dazed & Confused 🤸🤸🙃 We are still waiting for Enterprise B, the Delta Flyer, and a Runabout! We should also have a TNG season 1 red shirt LT JG Worf, and a "Far Beyond The Stars" DS9 episode crew collection!

Yep, that comes across a little rude. Personally, I would advise aiming to be in the top 500 when you go to bed. It's probably overkill, but better safe than sorry. Some days I have work meeting scheduled an hour before the event closes. I plan and play accordingly. I send out those extra shuttles early to get a lead. That's the only way that I stand a chance at the end. I will say that someone asleep has the advantage of optionally setting an alarm vs the meeting that I can't get out of. But it's a small advantage and one that I would avoid by building that early lead.
