on that note - I don't like that a massive issue like this is "hidden" away in the Engineering Forum. Something as game-breaking (literally) as this should be on the main forum.
not really 'hidden'.... its right there at the top of the list ... with 6+ pages of comments...
The fairest thing would be to reset the event, let the servers come up, postpone event for 2 or 3 hours and then start fresh...obviously some plan their lunch break/schedule for the start, but overall that would be the best solution in my opinion...
Absolutely agree! I would like to see it delayed a day however instead of just a few hours.
@Shan - please move this thread back to the Bridge forum. People are still creating new threads there.
While this technically belongs in the Engineering forum, until the issue is resolved, something as serious as this should remain in the main forum to prevent people from creating more threads that you'll just have to merge into this one later.
A locked announcement in the Bridge noting the problem and directing to this thread would suffice.

that's why i put "hidden" in quotes. not literally hidden, but for all intents and purposes, hidden. it is out of plain sight on the main forum. hence, the existence of this thread.
Like many others I plan my lunch time to be at event start...I have a very chill work environment, so I can probably do something...but this is not ideal
Having a forced re-login, plus new stuff and bonuses pushed at the same time as the event was not a great idea

In the Will Scarlett note they said they would be shutting the severs down at 1700 UTC to implement the deals they have for Christmas. But that begs the question: WHO ON EARTH THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO RESET THE SERVERS AT THE BEGINING OF AN EVENT!!??
It seems every time they do something good (like give everyone a 5* Will Scarlett) they mess it up by doing something boneheaded like shutting the severs down at the beginning of an event.
I would say it's unbelievable, but it's TOTALLY believable.
I was told to come here for answers after being brandished rude for my annoyance of constant faults with this game but I see no answers?
The time and money spent here is clearly not appreciated. I assume this comment will be deleted as well. The customer service is poor, the answers to questions are poor and my commitment and loyalty is clearly worth nothing but sorry we messed up yet again.
I'm glad to know my work day isn't the only one that revolves around Faction Event starts. I do get this is just a game but the reality for the folks here with 9-5's is this does put us in a bind. I'd rather the event be postponed a day than start late. Oh well.

I don’t even get an error message. I just get Picard starring at me.

Nice one.
Btw, this may be a big routing problem. Any of you are US players ?
I disagree. Those are the only ones that give non-veteran players a chance at gold crew.
Even better suggestion!
