I am thinking the 50k honour refund? Yeah, I can only foresee them refunding that to those who asked.

I felt great gratitude toward DB for the Picard! Thank you DB! I felt, yay makes mine 5/5! My kids that are very occasional players get a legendary that they didn't have. I now understand how those that paid would feel cheated. Let's keep this in perspective DB tried to do a good thing! Looks like DB is making up for it if you're patient and escalate your ticket.
They did not have to give a legendary for compensation! Please don't scare them off from giving us really good compensation!

So, I updated with a polite yet firm reminder of what a loyal customer I have been, along with 3 pages of receipts of how much I've supported Disruptor Beam these past 3 months.....we'll see if that helps.

I can understand the people who never intended to buy or grind for a 5th star feel elated rather than cheated. I imagine most of these people likewise wouldn’t feel better if they got a first or second star of Mirror Troi instead of another Mirror Picard....but I hope these people understand that those of us who did lay out for a fifth star and then got a worthless sixth star in the mail are quite upset. I could have saved $25 or, better yet for DB, spent that money on more dilithium. Instead, I won’t spend another dime on Double Your Crew offers in perpetuity and will likely curtail dilithium purchases until we get something more than “file a support ticket and hope they don’t blow you off.”
Very important update: CS now says that they will be allowing the exchange of Picard for honor for all players who used honor or the DYS offer to add a fifth star to Picard.
If you are still being told no by CS, ask to escalate your tickets.

My ticket is in the waiting for concrete answer bucket too, and the extra Picard is still hanging out in my crew. If they give me back the honor I spent, I will happy.

I get it. I'm VIP 14 and I've likely spent over a thousand by now and it's still frustrating.
My ticket was about the interface being completely glitched and not showing anything. Missed over half the event, all daily missions and rewards, my dilithium, all the event packs I really wanted to purchase as well as the holiday specials, etc. Their "compensation" was 500 chronitons and giving me 250 dilithium.
It all really depends on who you get as your support staff too. Several times I've gotten Yasmine as mine and every time she has left me feeling compensated and content with the agreement.
Do you guys think before you decide to piss off a lot of people? The forum should be telling you that giving a free Picard was a bad idea. I will tell you if you care to know. I played and got the first one than paid to double him. I played three weeks and got the 4th one. Used honor to get the 5th one knowing I would get him in the 4th week to FF him anyway. He told you in is message the proper response for the event screw up would have been 50000 honor. Granted it does assume that a 5* crew is the proper responce for having the event server crash just as an event is ending. Personaly I feel a clear message from DB saying they where sorry for the issue and because it may have effected all particpantes placment we are giving you the rewards for the next rank up would have been a better jester they only would have had to come up with unique compensation for the 1st player that way.

Nope, not true at all...I follow STT on Facebook more often then I do this forum (and I even went back over many of the older conversations), and I can tell you that they're mostly complaining after getting another freakin' Mirror Picard just as we are. Yeah, there are those few F2P who celebrate receiving the freebie just as on here, but that is far from the majority. I still think it has something to do with DB not wanting to mess up Gauntlet by giving everyone free Mirror Trois...

agreed, they have compensated 1, and 2 ranks higher in previous events. I think Arichania Janeway was also given out to those who filed a ticket for her so they set a precedence

Future Imperfecta has been pointing out that they prolly just tried to turn Picard into a twofer and it back fired on them.
The timing of the announcement, the change in DB giving away 5* crew, and a foreign ad agency not understanding mega event crew all fits perfectly if it's part of their User Acquisition Project.
I think somebody over at Tilting Point got a brief explanation of what a Mirror Picard was and said DB do this, and the powers that count at DB didn't stand up and say "hey, that might not be the best idea we've tossed around this morning".
What I am more interested to see is how DB will deal with the players who have actually spent money on a copy of Picard. In essence, people have already given their consent for the purchase in every possible fashion. However, messing up your paying customer base means your downfall in no time. Hence me saying in that other post that whoever in the DB management thought a copy of the recurring event crew will be an apt compensation, is showing a dreadful lack of management skills and foresight, or does not care about the community.
If its about retaining new players and increasing customer acquisition, I wonder if it wouldn't have been better received if DB had secretly mailed the free Mirror Picard to only all new players who joined in the past 1 or 2 months? As they say, ignorance is bliss and if the old ViP player-base didn't know that newbies were getting free stuff (or knew it was ONLY for noobs), then I doubt we would've been so enraged...heck, if this was T'Kuvma instead of Picard (which i only have at 2/5 when i was still new), I undoubtedly would've been on the other side of the debate.

I have no problem with the support team helping the biggest spenders first they are the ones who pay the bills at the end of the day.
Free players should get the same help but at a lower priority

Posting ticket contents is against TOS, but the wording I saw today said that all players with a 6th Picard will get 50k honor, seemingly regardless of reps.
