If by (1) you mean mail with 50k HP then it would not. Because it would return situation back to beginning - those that paid would be 50k HP short in comparison to those who do not.
I don't know what you mean otherwise. Because "oh, this is about Picard" still requires manual checking by staff so it's not that much more work to do proper check and send 50k manually unless they'll start dragging things out.

And let's not forget the tens of thousands of players who aren't connected to any online support forum. Most players aren't even aware "compensation" is being offered because no in-game announcement has been issued. I can understand why DB would need to wait until the current influx of tickets gets thinned before adding more fuel to the fire, but....
This seems to be DBs ENTIRE problem... Nobody seems to have any clue of how to deal with issues ahead of time. Personally, I would have NEVER elected to go the ticket route. The base is too massive for this kind of foul up. An announcement should have been made immediately with the "fix" in everyones mail. 150k honor, free pack pulls, something substantial to use any way you please with a huge WE'RE SORRY for botching the fix soooooo badly. The goodwill would far outweigh the small price.
Unfortunately, DB has proven itself to be Ferengi at heart and sought to dole out as little compensation as possible instead of making it widely known that they actually understand their mistake and the ire they're caused. So in the end, they haven't gained our trust. They squandered another opportunity to connect with the people paying their salaries.
Food for thought... Back before I became a paying player, I entered a ticket for something insignificant and the CS response was immediately to compensate me with more than I expected. No need to beg, or **tsk tsk**, it was offered with an apology that I believed and a paying customer was born. That goodwill has now been squashed by the incomprehensible tone-deaf leadership on display over the last few weeks. And that's not Shan or anyone else who's in the line of fire. The poor decisions are ultimately coming from the top.
I don't know who spit-balled the mPicard gift idea, but it's the person who ultimately approved it that doesn't understand their own product or player base. Any paying player could have seen this coming a light year away.

I'm sorry, but as has been mentioned earlier, if I claim it now, it will trigger the DYC offer, which I obviously wouldn't be interested in. Then if I get another Legendary in the next 72 hours I'm *pinkbunnied*.
So, what's the harm in leaving it in my mailbox until CS gets back to me? At least if I do that, if the rep asks me to claim the Picard so he can remove it, he/she can also then immediately clear the 72-hour offer for me... right? (Right?)
Unfortunately CS has not control on that, no. If you prefer to wait for the rep to tell you to claim it, that is your choice of course. But it will only delay the resolution. I am sorry.

The hourly cost is really not a problem...2 mules and a small boy are cheap. They just take a bit of time to get to you...

I bought two Chronie Packs this weekend for $20, because we were reassured here yesterday that this would be fixed. I took that at face value. if it is going to be a circus of jumping through hoops, I will just chalk it up to experience, and never drop another dime. I hope the 50K pays their checks, because if it is not made right for all of us, I will not be chipping in again.

Just wanted to say, had a message in my E-Mail that my Ticket had been updated. Could not open the Ticket. Signed into STT, and there were six Messages. {Arena Rewards for two days.} Went to do my "Equip/Train/Level" Chores, and had the 50K Honour added.

So here's what happened to me. I had a response from CS, then I sent back a msg to confirm that I must claim my Picard first, then I will receive the honor. A couple of days went by with no response from CS.
At that point, I claimed my Picard despite having no confirmation from CS. (I took a leap of faith).
Then, two days later, I received msg from CS that the exchange was done. I checked, and indeed it was.
So, for those who did not claim your Picards, I recommend claiming it and that the exchange may happen faster. May being operative of course.

He laughs, brutally, knowing I need the crew slot.
I watch, on constant alert for any changes in Honor. Some sign that my torment will end.
Chrons rise and fall, like the shifting tides under the harvest moon.
I will remain vigilant. I am a survivalist.
Finally had my honour restored today (originally wrote to CS immediately following Picardgate). Asked for the small 100 chron batch which other captains had been given for the delay, mostly for the sake of consistency, and not because 100 chrons makes much of a dent. The CS agent kindly obliged. Suggest the same for others who have been waiting this long.

Long before they told us anything about fixing it, I claimed and promptly freed up the Crew Slot he was blocking. I had mine Immortalized already.
