The only real Romulan 5* can tell Romulan Data and Romulan Picard, It’s a fake!
Funny thing is, I'd rather have either of the fake 5* Romulans than the real one. lol
Totally with you there. I am only thresholding this week, because I don't even want Vreenak, and I have all the rest FF/FE. I am looking forward to Romulan Picard though!
I just leveled Sela to 100 yesterday, and she is still worthless with only 1*. GLad I get to FF her next week, just so I can freeze her.
I still don't get how Mintakan Riker is a "Vulcan"
The Mintakans were described as proto Vulcan, and DB basically dropped the proto and lumped them in with Vulcans. I don't really have a problem with that, but at the same time, I don't particularly care for the Mintakans either.
I mean I like the Mintakans, but to me this isn't an event that they needed to be in. They have had absolutely zero to do with Romulan-Vulcan political relations. Their only relation in fact is simply just genetics, the Mintakans are pre-warp, so they have no investment nor involvement nor knowledge at that, about the Romulan-Vulcan sociopolitical situation. So again, why are the Mintakans involved at all?

A few weeks ago I was joking how we will get Romulan Picard and Commander Sela in a final event and here we are, getting those two useless characters...alongside even more useless Mintakan Troi.

But that's the beauty, or if you prefer ugliness, of the temporal anomaly at the heart of the game. You could ask similar questions about most events. But the whole point of the game is characters from different timelines interacting where they otherwise wouldn't.
EDIT: Also, it's Troi in the event, not an actual Mintakan. A simple storyline explanation is that she's concerned how whatever is going on might affect the Mintakans. "Won't someone think of the Mintakans?!"

So it was a month long Romulan/Vulcan mega event and it only introduced 2 new true Romulans to the game. I thought there would be at least 4-5 considering there are already a lot of Vulcans in the game. It is more than a bit surprising.
Tell it like it is!

I mean not to shade Sela, but she is how to put it aptly....

Can we at least get a new Romulan 2* for the threshold rewards or 3* crew for the event rewards?
At this point, this is the least we deserve.

Not all that thrilled about Mintakan Troi because I know that she will have the Vulcan trait despite the fact that, well, she wasn't even pretending to be Vulcan. Just because a species is developing in a similarish way to Vulcans, and someone pretends to be one of that species, does not make them vulcan?
I dunno, I understand the Mintakan trait would basically be worthless, but it would not be the first trait to be that way, by any means.
MINTAKEN TROI!!! Really?! No Archer? This was the absolute perfect, PERFECT opportunity for DB to give us an event with Archer and yet they give us Mintaken effing Troi. You know, you guys at DB we’re doing really well this month. In fact, I’d go so far as to say you were doing great. Were being the operative word here. I am happy there’s going to be a Mintaken Troi in the game but this is the exact wrong time to introduce her. You have failed this player base, DB.
P.S. - Sorry, watching too much Arrow.
P.S.S. - I’m not happy about this Sela business either. All the Romulans we have, which admittedly isn’t that many, and we get the crappiest one. I like Sela, but her card is an unworthy variant (couldn’t write the word for inhaling, like through a straw).
Weirdly enough, I’m also Vulcan Housewife. Also, RNGesus hates me, like really, REALLY hates me.
Sela was a very early 4* and if she came out today she'd probably be a 5*.
If any one character deserves to have their stats revised and improved, it's probably Sela.
Even as a bonus crew, I haven't been able to use Sela ONCE in the faction shuttles because her stats are so much lower than the rest of my Romulans/Vulcans. I don't know how this will bode for next week?

Next week, she'll be x3 rather than x2 in the Faction phase. I forget what the multipliers are in Galaxies. I think x5, maybe?

I didn't like Sela in the show. But I 100% agree with this! She was a big part of the plot in the show and yet she's barely a blip on the radar in this game, if any at all. Plainly put, she doesn't show up on sensors.

Even then though, she's barely going to make a scratch I think. I too pulled my Sela out for the start of this mega and the only way I've used is when I force myself to go digging for her. Her stats are so trashy that she's far below even my non-Romulans and non-Vulcans who don't add any bonuses whatsoever.

Romulan Picard was always going to be the 5*. He's one of the most popular characters in the series, and that episode is one of the most iconic of the series. In an ideal world we wouldn't have had the (sub-par) Ambassador Spock card eons ago and that would be the 5*.
Debating whether it's actually going to be worth unfreezing Sela, even at 3x I doubt she'd get shuttle berths ahead of, say, Captain T'Pol with a 2x boost...
The boost itself also gives points and if you have a 3x bonus card, the boost will also count 3x ... I think Sela will make it onto sum of my shuttles next week.

This is just in response to the Edit part. Well, I’d like to respond but it would get censored. Think something along the lines of stuff the Mintakans, but I didn’t really say stuff.
P.S. - I just now looked at @Nomad (TP:TG) ‘s signature and I have to say that really made me smile. Perfectly true most of the time as well.

I did the same. Last week I chose her to focus on and got her fully equipped Wednesday night.

I went with Tomalak, and also lost that bet.

We need a 2 star female Starfleet Romulan with high security or high med.
KIRK: Another thing: That's T'Paul of Vulcan. All of Vulcan in one package. How can I back out in front of her?
DB: T'Who? Have a Troi.

*cough* *cough* Captain Scott
But yes, her stats are scarcely better than some of the more powerful rare crew. Just look at Boxer Chakotay (with starbase bonuses):
