So this mega event revealed that the sphere builders are the ones behind the Timelines crisis. Makes me wonder even more why the sphere builder wasn’t the recurring.
Skirmish is my fav as its super easy and not so time consuming. Expedition is one I loathe. I dont expect to hit 130,000.....
If you think skirmish is easy and not time consuming, you could have hit 350k in skirmish alone. It only seems not time consuming because you're not spending time on it.

Only got 80,000 because I didn't have much time before the event change. 2 min for 4k points is pretty easy, just unlucky this weekend on time.
Are people even doing expedition part of this event? I am skipping nodes and lvls on these tickets and gaining ground not losing it. Seems like a certain percentage of players demand expedition events and then are not showing up for it.

Sort of to echo this sentiment, I am currently unhappy with my rank, but currently very much against running any more expeditions to improve it. I just ran a single ticket and it took like 45 minutes (my results may not be typical, but I tend to deliberate to make sure I'm making the "correct" choice) so really this is a question of do I want to be glued to my phone ALL day?
Like seriously, for all of you who were literally begging for expeditions, I don't know what to say but it would probably be best to avoid me for a while.
----EDIT----
Another thing about expeditions I find really off-putting: to do them properly, you pretty much cannot play the rest of the game. You are only shooting yourself in the foot if you send out your shuttles (figure an average of 3 crew per shuttle, times number of shuttles) or send out a voyage (12 more crew). If you have four shuttles, you are removing an average of 24 of your best crew from your pool of available crew. And honestly for me, that is stressful, because I know my job, and this event structure prevents me from doing my job, and failing at my job is stressful!
This is my first expedition event, and I like it. Gameplay wise I like it more than skirmish, but skirmish has much better rewards obviously.
As for the rest of the game (shuttles, voyage), this is what I've done so far:
* Cleared all the missions.
* After clearing the missions, run them in reverse order of difficulty.
* After doing this 2 times I knew which crew I would use all the time, so the rest can be put to use for voyages and shuttles. Maybe I won't get an 8-9hr voyage out of it, but a shorter voyage is better than no voyage.
I really like expedition events and I understand that some people don't. But please, can you allow us fans of expeditions our once every half year expedition without repeating the same complaints all the time? Thank you :-)

I will agree to your terms (quoting to preserve the fine print ) and just add that I was legit reporting about my anxiety levels, phase two is sort of making me agitated and cranky so as a general warning, I am probably not fun to be around presently
I am at the point where I am completing the Elite and Epic nodes, and skipping the Normal missions. Except maybe the last one, I can use the same crew and sweep all three levels in three replays total.

I seem to be surrounded by the same players in the rankings, even after completing a full ticket at max bonus.
But I am in the 500 range, so I guess everyone is preserving their rank.
The thing about expedition is the points are the same for most people. Clear the stars with event crew and you get the same VP see everyone else clearing with event crew. So everyone playing will move to together. The only movement in rank comes from people not playing it people buying extra tickets.
Once I played through my first ticket in the Expedition phase last night, all my hatred of this event type came rushing back to me like water from an open fire hydrant. Working on the second ticket, I thought to myself, "Why am I putting myself through this??" I had already cleared the final threshold in phase one (and had waited to cash in my threshold rewards in case there was an issue with the extra tickets), and I didn't care a whit about getting the new Sisko, therefore there was no point in me continuing.
So what, indeed, was I playing it for? Drudgery? Tedium? Contempt? Yeah... no. I stopped right then and there, cashed in my rewards, froze Demora, and now I have a much more pleasant Sunday lying at my feet. I will just watch the rest of you leapfrog me on your way to higher ranks, and be glad that I'm no longer enlisted in that particular brigade.

I wish I had had the wisdom and bravery 6 hours ago to this too, but I kind of felt I owed it to people to burn my 6 tickets, just so when I inevitably speak ill of expeditions at a later time, my voice will carry additional weight for having endured the slog. Really though I need to apologize to my phone, as each ticket burned about 35% of my phone's battery, so I've had to recharge it like 2.5 times this morning!

Are you expedition lovers even playing? It sure does not look like it. Maybe you are. Maybe the issue is that skirmish gave so many more points that the expedition half is not worth as much. You expedition lovers can play expedition any time you want. Just travel to a regular mission and do it with crew. Then do that a hundred more times.
I think all 17 expedition lovers are playing hard.
Many more of us are trying to keep up enough to get Sisko. I need Sisko. I have a squad to help.
Same.
I got to 400 range, burning through my 3 new tickets, expecting it to reset like it did last night, but to my joy, it did not.
Now I can enjoy the sunshine.
I am im the AntiExpedition crowd. It is a event type with a lot of strategy (which I think what draws people to like it) but its payoff doesnt match the weight of the effort.
And I would agree that the skirmish portion heavilly outweighed the Expedition part.
Expedition events would be better if you got some rewards along with the VP. IN Skirmish you get honour and credits. Why not in Expedition ??
More people would play for free stuff. (Freeish)
I didn't realize tickets would refill today, woops. Well, at least I've finally figured out who should go where so I can properly use my resources.
With only 14 crew who get bonuses, ensuring I pick up most of the extra VP with one of them was a bit of a puzzle, but a very enjoyable one. Did pretty well, really only deficient on Science for this event.
Six degrees in Inter-species Veterinary Medicine. Treating all manner of critters, from Tribbles to Humans.

I thought about doing that, then added up the 6K VP I would be missing. I chose to run the normal level, but only once through, no repeats to get the last node. This way I save some time, and only lose 1500.
add that up for a few tickets, and it will definitely make a difference. I am currently sitting at 139th.
Some of y'all don't seem to understand why Expeditions are appealing, so I'll break it down. There are two key elements.
Growth of Crew
Before Expeditions were relegated to sporadic Hybrid status, they were a handy barometer for how one's crew was developing. Because they can use your entire roster, they're a truer demonstration of how your crew has come along than the other event formats. It can be genuinely gratifying to see one's progress in anything, and in Timelines, this was one of the clearest and most rewarding looks at that.
Other Players' Whining
Is it petty? Yep. But watching the forum overrun with spoiled players bemoaning that they have to (gasp!) play through missions instead of just warping them like they do all the time while you're taking the time to grind it out is delicious. Expedition is the least Pay-to-Win format there is. Either you're willing to sit down and invest your time or you're not. A Top 1000 finish in an Expedition feels legitimately earned, and in part because so many of our fellow players are comically lazy. Yeah, this is some kind of working-class pride thing. And it's fantastic.

I would later max out Darth Bashir in the next node.
Totally agree. It's been asked for since the early days of expedition and never happened, but it never hurts to ask again.

Starport
Reasons?
I was a fairly new player with and my crew count was low so I didn't have to snipe for event crew.
And I got Mirror Mayweather which was a premium crew for a fairly new player like me.
I thought about doing that, then added up the 6K VP I would be missing. I chose to run the normal level, but only once through, no repeats to get the last node. This way I save some time, and only lose 1500.
