And what about those of us who choose not to trade in Polywater Yar? We just get nothing?
If you choose not to exchange her unlike most here you seem to be kinda satisfied with the card despite the nerf, want to keep her, so why should you get something for that
Despite the not so brill art I bought some packs cause of her great ship abilities. After the change of them she is useless to me and not nice to look at, so although the decision making took it´s time I am very pleased with the final choice by DB...
When I submitted my ticket (way back when) this was pretty much what I asked for... a 5* citation or a different guy.... well, I guess better late then never but it seems like we could have saved a bit of time if they had just given it to me back then.... as the Gaffer said, "All's well that ends better"

Same, I asked for this from the start and got a hard no, I don't think they expected a fallout of this magnitude at that time though
So. the compensation for DB's questionable conduct is to either exchange Yar for something else, (Citations or STD Killy) or ... nothing. As Spock would say: "Fascinating".
Well, I think that I'll keep Yar. Favorited. So that, as another said, she'll be there to remind me not to spend on this game.
I think it should really be keep Yar, not exchange. I still generally like the Yar and she is useful, but DB definitely curbed her usefulness with no communication or consultation of the players. So for that, plus the time it has taken to rectify/offer a solution, we should just get the compensation without exchange.
If exchange is indeed the reality, I'll still be okay to exchange my Yar for 5 5* citations as I feel those would serve me better than Yar perhaps. But I'm not thrilled that this "compensation" comes in the form of a compromise of mistakes rather than a redress of mistakes.

My Yar is currently sitting at level 30 or something and was never a high priority to level. However I did work hard to get her in the event and am a little bummed
I’m satisfied with the offer. I chose to exchange for a citation. It’s a shame we had to lose a lot of players over this before DB finally decided to make things right. I hope they will at least consider lifting bans on players that resulted from this ordeal. I doubt it would bring many of those players back, but it would still be a good gesture.
I totally agree the stance of keeping the card one should never have to be forced to exchange the legendary in this manner. But given the circumstances for me and dB unwilling to rework the card; I’m left with a slot not usable and a card not usable, at least an exchange for Killy I will get use out of her more than I probably will with yar. I would say I’m contented but that also does not mean I am jumping with joy. Yar was the card I fought hard for and the loss of that specific card diminishes the pride of succeeding in that event somewhat.

Why should I trade in a FE/100 toon for a citation or a second star for another FE/100 toon. There is no compensation in that plan for the time/chronos/inventory/replicator rations used to level/equip the toon. Now if they want to get Polywater Yar out of the game state that and offer something comparable. Like another toon that is the same level, stars, and equipment as Yar then we can talk.

This is true! Hence why I think we should get to keep the Yar in addition to the compensation of citations or Killy(s).

Citation is worth a lot more in my opinion than a FE crew. Chroniton cost is not what it use to be with replicator and voyages and Yar isn't a great crew member overall anyways. Adding a citation to an upcoming event crew or an elite legendary crew member is much more valuable anyways.

If you feel your circumstances are exceptional, then it doesn't hurt to ask for additional compensation (chrons, etc) in your ticket.
Nice that those who managed to get Yar finally get some sort of redress for this.
Shame about those of us who wasted boosts and dilithium because she was such a must-have card but didn't succeed...

Recompense for those of us who tried and failed was justified when there was no reasonable compensation for those who won her. Now that those who won her are reasonably fixed (if not perfectly), there is no more justification for those of us who didn't get her.
I am happy that there is a better, universal solution for everyone stuck with a Yar. We can only hope that other recent problems are dealt with as well. I would have said “dealt with satisfactorily” but honestly I feel that such a statement would go a little too far given the current state of things.

My guess is they aren't going to take away Yar and just give you the choice you make for compensation
Just inquired about this.
You should be able to get a FE'd Killy.
The message cleary says: „exchange“.
And what about those of us who choose not to trade in Polywater Yar? We just get nothing?
Well, you get a Polywater Yar. If you choose not to trade her you clearly want to keep her.
Well, you’re either happy with her or not?

And if it was a 5* citation, you would have likely wasted the same boosts/dil and possibly failed too.
Killy may actually be one of the few that are more valuable.
A 5 star citation is a massively generous offer. I can think of over a dozen of my legends that I would happily swap for a 5 star citation.
There are a few that I would even swap for a 3 star citation now we have a 3 star that requires 2 citations to complete.
