    Nothing here yet, but I have no doubt it'll arrive in due time. Takes time to get through all those tickets and still work on the other tickets coming in too.

    Support is working on this as fast as they can but it will take some time.
    So please be patient and do not submit multiple tickets for this as it creates unnecessary delays.

    I got a reply overnight after putting in a ticket yesterday morning.

    Overall, this is a much better solution than the original ticket responses about the Yar issue, and it helps players who worked to earn Yars in addition to ones who spent money to earn her.

    As a suggestion, if your Polywater Yar is fully-equipped, you could also ask support to refund the approximately 8300 chronitons and 500000 credits she costs to equip (according to the Crew Cost Finder site).

    Ticket reply times are a mystery. You d think that tickets send in first would be worked on first as well, but obviously it isn t the case. Sent my ticket(s)(for 2 accounts)right after the compensation mail went live, and no response yet. Not complaining, just saying. ;)

    My status report is the same: sent in my request shortly after system-wide message offering the exchange, no response yet. Probably a couple thousand other folks did the same thing at the same time, however . . .

    You probably get bumped by people resubmitting tickets so you get pushed down the list since yours is new.

    My 7 copies of Yar has now been adjusted to 1. I went from:

    level 100 5/5 Yar
    level 100 1/5 Yar
    level 90 1/5 Yar

    To just one, level 100 1/5 Yar

    I'm not happy that there was no compensation for all the resources wasted on the extra two Yars. But, I'm glad I wasn't stuck with 6 Yars I did not need. My wallet will be guarded for a while. But, I expect Christmas or Cyber Monday deals will be enough time for me to cool down.

    I've posted this in other places but I might as well again... I got 8300 chrons as compensation for the resources spent and my yar exchanged for the citation... Not sure if your issue is marked resolved already or not but yah... that happened for me

    Thank you for the useful information. I replicated quite a few large items for her so I wasn't sure about what was considered equivalent resource compensation.
  • I heard back from CS as well and exchanged Poly Yar for a second star on Captain Killy. They also let me keep the earlier compensation - boosts, chrons and refund - that they had offered and I had reluctantly accepted before they decided on the exchange. So I am happy. Ironically, my first ticket nearly two months ago had requested a Killy or citation in exchange for nerfed Yar. In the end, DB gave me that plus more in terms of the earlier compensations when they refused the exchange. But they don’t want the other compensation back - I told them to take it back but CS said when they were offered it was fair, so I should keep it. I guess I will take it as my reward for sticking around and dealing with CS for such an extended period :)

    I think DB has finally made things right, though it should have happened much sooner. They would likely have not lost the bunch of players I know quit because of this fiasco.

    Going through the recent posts in this thread, I am however a bit confused by complains that it was an exchange. If folks are happy with the nerfed Yar (and do not want her removed from the crew quarters), then for them DB did nothing wrong. So why are they complaining or even asking for any compensation. If they would have gone for the character irrespective (be it OCD or some other reason), then they got what they wanted. Where is the need for compensation???

    Anyhow, I am glad this saga is over. Amazingly I do not have a ticket open with CS. Don’t remember when this happened last. I take that as a win :)

  • Kept her 1/5 and took 4 citations. My character OCD wouldn’t allow me to let her completely go. lol But, was able to Immortalize Rura-Penthe Kirk, Durango Troi, and throw two more starts on Merry Crusher. So, her sacrifice will not go unnoticed!

    I immortalized LaBorg, Falcon, and Spider Barclay, added a star to Old Dax and Interface Geordie. And I don't have to look at drunk Yar anymore. :)
  • I was on a two week road trip when I re-opened the ticket, and have to say I'm happy with how things worked out. Got fully refunded, kept my FF Ross, a FF 3* I'd FE'd and two 5* citations.

    Given I'd only wanted the citations, or to swap Yar, at the start of the whole debacle - this was, as Garak may say, a bargain.

    The small part of me that still believes in magic and Santa likes to think DB realised they'd acted horribly wrong and decided to set things right. The majority of me that lives in the real world knows that someone ran a monthly financial report, that it read like The Shining for accountants and - after a quick change of underwear - there were several damage limitation meetings.

    Either way, my wallet has been temporarily re-opened in an effort to reward good behaviour.

    Thank you DB for setting things right.

    How many Yar did you have ?

    You got fully refunded AND 2 Citations ?

    I didn't rank - IIRC it was either galaxy or part galaxy, and I've only pulled my tripe out to place once for those.

    What I did do was buy three offers, which is what I usually do when I want the 5* as I have historically tended to get the 5* within 5 pulls, and got two Yars.

    When she was nerfed I put in a ticket, and was offered a full financial refund with what I got being retracted where possible. I asked if the three 3* Vash I'd FF could have one copy left as I'd FE her too.

    I repeatedly suggested that simply swapping the Yar for another 5*, from a selection of DB's choosing, would be easier all round, and with DB retaining my cash, but that wasn't considered.

    The refund was placed through, and the relevant chrons, credits and equivalent honour removed from my account, with the immortal Vash and Ross being fully retained. I was content, if not happy, at the result.

    Fast forward a few weeks, and we were advised to re-open the tickets, which I did. I wasn't sure what to expect.

    Given the refund, I wasn't expecting to get the offer of citations or Killy, and even stated that I was unsure if I qualified for them in the resurrected ticket. Turns out I was.

    So now I've got a FF FO Burnham, and I'm figuring out where to stick my second one since my plan to FF the Mega 5* isn't going to happen as Minuet is more a collectable than a useable card.

    As a thank you to DB, I've done a few purchases and restarted my monthly card - although partially out of a desire to mentally 'balance' the essentially free citations I got as I suspect that not every player ended up with equivalent recompense.

    I'm happy to stick the boot in where necessary, but in this case DB - for me personally - eventually did the right thing, and I hope this is the start of DB doing a lot better on the customer service side of things.

    And for the record, it was a pure faction event as the wife earned a copy. She very rarely ranks in galaxy's (by choice)
