Goodness gracious! @Dirk Gunderson , where’s that GIF/meme of yours?
For that many points, I’m not even sure I know which one I should choose (that wouldn’t get me scolded by Shan). The surprised Doc Brown would be a good fit, the toddler with a pipe saying “well played, old chap” could work, and the dabbing sea turtle would be pretty neat as well. I even considered the Super Troopers classic “Mother of God” scene before choosing this:
About a year ago, I got two Locutuses from coming first in Gauntlet (and a third Locutus 48 hours later for coming second).
The most recent Gauntlet, I got two legendaries for coming first - both Locutus, again!
These are the only two times I've had double-legendaries from the end-of-Gauntlet boxes. I thought it was quite funny the first time to beat the odds of winning a legendary, plus the 50/50 odds of Armus or Other, plus the 1/3 odds of getting Locutus, twice in a single Gauntlet conclusion. To do it again... well, I think it fits the thread title.
It would basically be the same picture four times, so I'll just post the one:
I was almost half-hearted about starting a third Locutus in March, but he's now 4/5 already! (While my poor Guinan has been waiting for her tenth star for months.)
When the hell did Mirror Picard get MED and when did Nurse Faith lose her MED....glad the "team" is still working on these issues....3+ years now, must not be a priority...

This seems like a good enough place to put this. Theres a new Gauntlet crew. Everyone is trying to get her. Seems like a good time to use those 120k merits I have saved up.
This is the second gauntlet in a row I've had 30 consecutive wins, and the second time in a row my reward for this crate was 7 trainers! [Expletive]
While Phlox was tired, I still figured I had to really really flub the rolls to lose this one. So, of course, I flubbed the rolls. I mean, come on, three 200 rolls!!! 😡
More of good "Wow" moment. I didn't realize I could still get a 5 star Guinan from competing in the Gauntlet now that the Red Angel is the prize, but one of the prizes I received today was a 5 star Guinan. I guess I was under the misunderstanding that the character was permanently pulled as a gauntlet prize back in 2018, but apparently she's still obtainable as a prize at the end of the gauntlet tournament.
EDIT: I just read some of the previous posts. Apparently, the reinstatement of some classic Gauntlet Legendary character prizes is a thing now.
WOW! I just had my best round in the Gauntlet (at least for number of rounds)!
This was the high water mark and with no dilithium refreshes! Unfortunately, the one that was defeated was Gangster Spock and it happened on his first match. I’ve been on a quest to finish off the 20K rounds achievement and to do that I’ve been religious about doing 10 matches every four hours. I’m finding that 10 rounds are about what I get most of the time. Good rounds I can get 12-14 with no refreshes. This was 18 rounds when done! Of course, I got nothing of note for my effort, but still, I’m impressed.
And I just passed 18,500 total rounds today; only 1500 left to go. Looking at being done just after New Years!

The Caretaker was fully buffed and had no fatigue. Both had a 25% crit chance. ...I [redacted] hate this [redacted] [redacted] game.

Oh, and I actually beat @Bylo Band at something. 20K rounds and I never got my Gauntlet white whale: the Caretaker. Now that’s a big WOW.
My 45% criting ZERO times and losing to a 5%er who crit-ed TWICE out of three!

Gauntlet is HELLA broken, but hey we're getting TWO new currencies soon AND a convoluted system to "retrieve" crew! Cuz priorites, amirite?
If you have not learned to roll with the punches there yet, then yes, prepare to be disappointed often. It is what it is.
