    Thanks.

Being just a little more serious... I could be premature here, but this seems to be setting a tough precedent. I know STV is not a fan favorite, but Spock with Captain-Proton-Tier Jet Boots is too hilarious to consider passing up. And I'm guessing there are those who must have all the Spocks, even the bad ones, and the 'gotta get them all' few out there.

Which means this is going to be a very competitive event again. I'd be curious to compare to whatever we'd get in the next galaxy event...

Well it's not the first time they pick a character from terrible episodes. There's duellist Yar (when the TNG cast visited Planet Africa), The clown or Proton Paris...

Hopefully Platonian Kirk as threshold :) (Hint Hint) as Apollo was threshold last time.

I've Platonian Kirk FF/FE so I hope Apollo as threshold because I only have him at 1/4 stars xD

This was one of the first events I participated in. I was not strong enough at the time to FF either card.
Whatever I earned in the event I eventually airlocked for space. Now many months later, they both returned and now are in my freezer.

I'm playing this event just to get a copy of the Goddess of Empathy.
    Intentionally Left Blank
  • They'd better make Spock's art clearly show that he's hovering above the ground on his jet boots...

Although I like the jet boots idea, I’m going to have to stick to the marshmelon scene as my preferred artwork.

Personally I kind of hope that he's not only floating, but floating with his feet conveniently just out of view.

Not a great special effects budget on that film.
  • A TOS mega???

I can't help but think that starting with Star Trek V would be quite unfortunate.

I look forward to adding another start to Goddess Troi. Not much interest beyond that, with both 4* immortalized already.

    Hopeing Kirk is threshold !!!!

They did it with captain's oath and switched the good main cast crew (Sulu) for a useless one (Harriman), I'm confident they can do it again.

Finding the images for my funpost above, was in fact the first time I noticed that my last shot is the ONLY one where his full body is in view in the beginning. The closest you get otherwise is a pan-shot that only shows about 1/6 of his body at a time.

Which could mean we will get interesting results. Very often you can find DB's sketches of people are based on SOME Frame. IIRC Even the non-canon Augment O'Brien posed from a canon version in an episode. There have even been a couple times where I thought the art looked 'wrong' (i.e. Emperor Georgiou) but when rewatching an episode, I see the frame, and I see the proportions are right *for that frame*.

But could they do it well with a composite shot? We will see and hope.

I've put my bet on Apollo being threshold - Kirk's done and finished, but I'm leaving Apollo with his final gear unbuilt in the hopes of being given a free tunic or whatever. Probably should've done that with both of them, but oh well.

Mountaineer McCoy would be great too. “Whiskey, Spock, Tennessee whiskey. Care for a little snort?”

    Or

“God I liked him better before he died.”

Bones had some fantastic dialogue in that movie. Others I'd love a Mountaineer McCoy to have:

"If I'm not careful, I'll end up talking to myself."
"...If you ask me--and you haven't--I think this is a terrible idea."
"You don't ask the Almighty for His ID!"

ST:V had some great lines and great interactions between Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. I think that is the only redeemable aspect of that movie.

They all look great together, I must say.

They really do, which is uncommon for Featured Crews at all anymore, let alone a new crew member being added to a replay. (Looking at you, 23rd Century Martok.)

Although, it does show how smoothed-out Troi's face is, comparatively. Which is an odd thing I'd never noticed before, because I really like the art for that card.

I'm sure I'm not the only person to notice this, but...

Peldor Joi - faction event w/ Bajoran, Ferengi Traditionalist, [and Dominion] - Spock as 5* rank reward.

Children of Apollo (2) - faction event w/ Bajoran and Ferengi Traditionalist - Spock as 5* rank reward.

Apparently, Spock is a big fan of the Bajorans and the Ferengi.

Leave it to a Vulcan to embrace the spiritual and the capitalistic.

Spock and Burnham looked great together last week. I never noticed the matching red color between them before.
