Everyone, I am sorry that you feel let down by this easter egg
Not all crew can have the best stats, nevertheless I have brought up your disappointment to the team.
Thanx for the reply, Shan. Also, we know you are just the messenger when there is icky news!!!
These three look like whoever did the Skills Stats thought they were doing a 3*/3*>4* Fusion, instead of a 4*/4*>5* Fusion. Maybe because previous were the 3*/3*>4*. So they had the wrong reference to go by.
General comment on the Crew:
For me, I'll be happy to keep Zero One and Level him. Can't afford the investment it would take to get basically worse Stats!!!
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
@Shan Thanks ! Speaking for myself, I'm not let down by the Easter egg itself, I'm giddy about it - in fact I would love more of those things sprinkled in the game in the months and years to come.
I guess the only real disappointment is the return on investment for the card in question. True, to your point, not all cards can have rock-n-roll stats and I certainly don't expect them to. Honestly they all tend to blend together at a certain point. However, this situation is a bit more unique.
At 'cheapest', a person could have spent 1300 DIL doing two pulls, having amazing luck and getting a 01 and a 10. Then, they could have used 54,000 Honor to fuse up one purple and then combine to make a 1/5. From there, it's 150,000 more honor and a $25 DYS, or just 200,000 honor for the immortal copy.
At the most 'expensive', a person (hi!) could have done - oh, let's say - $400 worth of pulls to get the copies to fuse up a 5/5 and then the two 4/4s (gaining honor along the way thanks to mass dismissals).
The 'cheapest' route also happens to be the same cost roughly if a player went to the honor hall and bought Kahless outright and went straight to 5/5 - a cost that is set in precedent that the card is really, really worth the cost. Captain Bev has her own unique skill combo that makes her worth it as well. I'm sure the eventual 3rd Honor Hall gold will be no different and well worth the investment.
So herein lies the actual disappointment - for either the money or the honor invested in one specific card, and making it the first Easter egg of its kind, and making it rather rare across the player-base as few will sink the resources to get it - the fact that it is the single worst gold card in the game really stings.
In the past, there have been times when I questioned why I spent my money, but ultimately the issues were resolved and we kept a happy and fruitful business relationship going (think Musketeer La Forge, etc). This is the first time I actually regret spending my money on something in the game.
If nothing is changed about the stats and we move forward, that's fine as long as the dev team realizes that asking the community to spend significant in game or real resources to obtain a hyper rare card should net equivalent stats or return on that investment. If you put 5* Shinzon for sale right now for $50, not a soul in this game would buy him. 3 years ago, a lot of us did. I don't want to buy a card from 3 years ago today - yet I just did.
Hope this helps. Thanks for your support and passing it along.

Folks here realize that new crew coming into the game will not constantly be the new best shiny. These stats are genuinely awful, and most importantly were not made available to people before they spent money and time on the process. Thank you for letting the team know that customers feel ripped off.
If the decision is made to adjust the stats of the paired Bynars, I would strongly suggest leaving the portal up for longer, and also suggest instructing CS to help people who have the Bynars in some combination get to the configuration they are satisfied with.
As I think on this and go through the thread, I'm starting to like the terriblness of the card.
To those not on the forums, DB has shown their hand and a good many people that spent any significant resources on the cards have been grossly disappointed and flooded with buyers remorse.
I very highly suspect that any money made on this single DeBacle will be FAR outpaced by refusals to spend more and slamming of wallets and very cautious approaches to spending in the future.
This could have easily been avoided by putting up the legendary stats when the pack first went up. The whales probably still would have spent the money and bought the packs without having any of the anger and the feeling of being cheated by having hidden poor stats.

Sorry, can't resist making the obvious joke about them being something brown and delivered by the Easter Bunny, but are more round shaped than egg shaped.
Stats like this are 3* and 4* not 4* and 5*. People love the idea, but I suspect someone over-valued the emotional/pokemon aspect and under-valued the stats.
EDIT: Note - just to be clear the only way I'd ever level these is by luck of the draw from packs, never by intent.

Shan, there is a really simple solution that would benefit everyone. Change the stats to 1001 (011-111) for both traits on the 5*. I think the binaries would like that as well.

That actually seems like a pretty good solution to me. Neither card is terrible, they're all in line with the characters and their existing cards. The fused card is actually desirable, and still inline with both characters and existing cards.
Everything I would want to collect. Doing this right, DB couldn't even get in their own way to make a good chunk of change out of this, and it would be an ongoing quest to keep a small stream of income coming as new players join.
This flop of a Binar card is NOT going to have any lasting income or value.
I hope somebody at DB is listening to this, and not pulling another BinarGate
I find it rather curious the response from DB came after the posts stating people’s spending was being locked by 3rd parties and that highly respected and well known players may quit (Althea and Frank, I would miss both of your posts on this forum greatly, FWIW), not during the previous 2 days of angst over the offensive stats. Consider what you are actually thanking Shan for, yet another non-answer to pages and pages of near unanimous player feelings. Just like the 400,000VP thread, they have again told us enough people are willing to keep spending the money, so Caveat Emptor it is. And to be clear, I am not shooting the messenger, but dissecting the message. The same one we get the vast majority of the time.
I got the cards in the off chance they get hot fixed, but I highly doubt it will happen after Polywater. Everyone that skipped them would have a total meltdown.
I doubt buffing a card is going to drum up the pitch forks they were happy to buff Locutus' Dip proficiency didn't hear much of a peep on that one as I recall.
1500 in each skill for voyages would be a suitable fix IMO doesn't make them OP just strong enough to be of some use on a SCI ENG voyage and doesn't put them way ahead of the other 2 skill legendary cards either.

I'm not concerned because they will have to 'un-nerf' them.
Nope. They won't de-nerf them. They've never de-nerfed anybody. They're not starting now.
5* Scotty.
You have 2 4* cards that read like 3*, and a crappy 5* card that reads like a 4*.
Just forget this mess ever happened, and never invest if DB doesn't provide the stats.
In all fairness, the actual 4* read as legit 4*. Not great ones, but their stats are in the right range.
The problem is absolutely the 5*. I honestly would sooner have seen them merge to make a really great other 4* with those stats.

I keep seeing that assertion, but I don't see how they could legitimately be called 4* stats. No two-skill 4* has ever had both bases above 800, much less 900. They're a really, really bad 5*, almost certainly the worst. But they're not quite that bad.

I see where you’re coming from but they are very base-heavy. When there are more than one 4/4*s with better voyage scores than a 5/5*, the 5/5* is basically a very good 4/4* on a practical level.
Trying to find some silver lining here, and I do think this observation is largely true:
DB can chalk up part of this as a win - the playerbase did not die/vomit/revolt/explode at the concept and execution of a fusion 5* card - they actually took to it quickly and then, in this very thread, gave examples of other cards they would like to see/how to see them done.
So, yay for that. I think a lot of folks/collectors would be happy to see the concept again, after ensuring the stats were appropriate.

Best is, to release her just as normal Legendary with good or great status imho. Less expensive for everyone who is trying to get and max her.
I never got why ppl were so eager to finally have 2 SRs being able to fuse into a legendary. Now those ppl saw what DB made out of their request,
hope they are happy.
Just stop this nonsene. If u want new easter eggs, do as before like fusing 2 Rares into a SR,or as a 1st , 2 UC into a rare.
Horrible stats for a card needing as much effort as this one... Really, DB? Come on, man! The Binars calibrate the computers of star ships... just seems like those stats should be better.

I'm rarely on the forums. I really should have investigated the stats on this crew, but didn't imagine they could be so abysmal given the effort we know it takes. Bought 4 packs before checking things out on the wiki. Shocked. Came here to say WTH? Guess I've got a few comrades. Let's go, fix it

Should they ever come up in a fully immortalised 4* behold, you can just pick 'em and start the fuse process ...
So, that's kinda helpful for the all-4* immortal behold issue? ... caveat ... once they get added to the portal (which takes DB eons anyway).
Ah well.
