Feedback request: in-game bonuses to enhance gameplay

Hi all,
On top of working on bug fixes and quality of life improvements, we are also looking into new ways to enhance gameplay.
We know that Starbase Rooms have been well received and provide an array of useful bonuses. Our goal would be to include additional ways to provide gameplay bonuses via another system.
But first we would like to hear from you! What kind of bonuses you would find the most useful and why?
Please stay on the topic at hand and be concise but feel free to add specific context to explain your choice.
We are looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this, thank you!

And a modification to an existing bonus; allow players to choose between dilithium or tokens to revive voyages. I've heard so many tales of people letting voyages expire when they'd rather spend dil, but can't because they're saving revive tokens.
The previous addition of additional replicator uses was awesome and I think the bonus cadets would be equally well received
On a similar topic: better sorting if ships would be nice.
- extra cadet tickets each day
- voyage anti-matter boosts (fleet and/or personal boosts, just like skill boosts)
- voyage revivals tokens (really help people chase the voyage-exclusive crew)
In terms of how these bonuses could potentially be acquired:
- weekly goals (similar to dailies, but to be done within a week)
- revised squadron rewards from events
- new fleet rewards from events
- Voyage bonus to starting anti-matter
- Dilithium mining -- just a small amount (it's already in thresholds, why not)
- No one needs more replicator rations if you're at the starbase toilet stage. Maybe we could replace one of the two rep rooms with a shuttle rental or voyage token or extra cadet ticket?
In terms of other QOL adjustments:
- Revamp of gauntlet reward boxes
- Revamp of dabo wheel prizes
- INVENTORY CAP OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

Love the ideas of HOW to obtain the rewards. Squadron rewards are so laughable no one except maybe the very newest of players would notice them.
I'd love to see additional things brought into Arena or voyages. Arena in particular is very stale, I like the schematic rewards but it would be fun if there were additional goals such as reaching rank 1 or rank 1 in all three divisions simultaneously or biggest crit or most damage dealt in X amount of time. The latter two would incentivize some creativity and experimentation in arena rather that running the one ship that mathematically works the best.
I would love to see 5* crew start popping up in voyages after a certain point as well. It can be restricted to older crew, and only at a certain time threshold. It would make those long voyages more worthwhile for higher level players that bring home crew they've already immortalized.
EDIT: On the topic of voyages, perhaps a starbase/collection bonus that enhances voyages in some way. Adds additional antimatter or something.
Potential bonuses:
Ways to gain/earn bonuses:
Captain Level: 95
VIP Level: 12
Unique Crew Immortalized: 525
Collections Completed: Vulcan, Ferengi, Borg, Romulan, Cardassian, Uncommon, Rare, Veteran, Common, Engineered, Physician, Innovator, Inspiring, Diplomat, Jury Rigger, Gauntlet Legends
There's no long-term benefit for anyone with the current honor earning rates. I've played online video games (mostly PC) for the last 15 years and every single one of them was able to grow and survive while providing satisfying progression to everyone, yet in this game you're acting like giving away anything but crumbs threatens the bottom line. Like, why are we still getting 1/5s freebies that will stay in the mail forever? That's the very definition of a poisoned gift. Why can we only max out 1 or 2 legendaries a year with honor? They're your normal cards, they're not "legendary" but in name only. Etc.
Do something about honor and reevaluate player progression please. That's an opportunity to make a step in the right direction.
100% signed.
- some way to get more honor in would be most appreciated. This could even be done through a reduction in cost of items in the Honor Hall ... if you continue on the old vein ... e.g. level 5 of a certain Starbase room room gives 20% reduction in cost to Honor Hall items (yes that includes crew found there).
A(nother) steady supply of requisition shuttles for low spending players would be great. Actually give them a chance to compete in Faction events with enough (Read; less than the duration of the universe) preparation. Also gives value to building a deep roster.
Big yeses here. Vulcan has 50 crew, but threshold caps out at 10. I'd love more long-term, high legendary count collections. Even if they're vanity rewards and I may never reach them, having something else to strive for is great.
And love the older 5*s idea. With players' penchant for never airlocking a legendary, DB would be 'encouraging' more crew slot purchases by introducing more old 5* into play to hog slots and for those who can bring themselves to cut ties, it's a nice chunk of honor.
I like the idea someone posted above of a fleet shipyard that could be used to enhance ship skills.
I'd like to see another starbase room that reduces the number of merits required to pull crew out of cryo. Maybe -5 merits per level, up to 10 levels, for a max of -50 merits.
Adding legendary citations as rare voyage rewards would minimize some of the endgame honor crunch.
Adding new dilemmas would add additional enjoyment as well.
So asking for a revamp of this or that is not relevant to this thread, and not as helpful.
Thank you.
I'll go ahead and quote from another thread:
Clarification: some could be awarded multiple times, like cooldowns and starbase donations.
So many other good ideas here. Honor is always a good one. Voyage starting antimatter is also pretty good.
And let's throw in another old idea...
Create a pool of decrepit old legendaries from the first year of the game. Give those things out!
An interesting option as well could be that there is a starbase room or achievement, collection to receive the equipment and then the equipment boost can be leveled by crafting that gets increasingly harder.
I think there many exciting superpower equipment items in the star trek universe that would fit the bill:
i.e.
Tox Uthat, Varon-T Disruptor, Stone of Gol, ressikan flute
among many others
In your OP it reads that additional rewards were on the table so what exactly do you have in mind? Any examples?
This! One-star citations, please!
They're not available in the honor hall.
As has been suggested before, some of the "STT year 1" Gold crews dropping as rewards in Voyages. I was thinking at least past the 12 hour mark to get them.
Time portal drops and/or crew drops in scans (mostly to help achieve more honor).
1x Premium EVENT PORTAL drops in various reward areas of the game.
I said that it would be another system, not Starbase Rooms, that would provide said bonuses.
If I had other details/examples to provide I would have done so
A fleet shipyard to upgrade/build ships is an example of "another type of bonus provider via another system"
Perhaps increase honor gain from crew dismissal by x% or a flat number. Anything that increases honor gain is good.
More crew slots is another obvious one so any gameplay mechanism to get more will be highly popular.
Older legendary crew is another option. I'd love to see older crew moved into cheaper or gameplay rewarded packs that enabled us to make older crew semiuseful without impacting on the gameplay demands to cite useful crew.
Whatever new way there is to enhance the game I think most useful bonus would be to get more honor. All existing sources (voyages, dailies, campaign, airlocking, ...) are just not enough. Getting characters to full stars is too slow as it is now and I think that is the main reason that many players quit at some point.
There is always feeling that you can't get to a some imaginary target/end point because there are too many unfinished characters in roster. And because of that players go away...
Some might say you can always buy packs but it is not enough because it is not direct conversion of money/dilithium to honor.
