Another “how the sheet works” question: in settings, I have the sheet track “best” crew at 4* and 5*. For voyages, I have active crew that are “best 4* xxx.” As I add 5* crew that eclipse 4* crew, I would want the sheet to tell me I can freeze that crew.
Does it do so?
Unfortunately no. Both of those are independent. You can turn off the 4* but there is combined best setting (yet). I've been torn on this one. Ive debated trying to redo it into a single setting that looks at all crew for the best versus splitting the 4* and 5*. Thoughts?
While I want to hear what others think, I’m struggling to see why having a top XX voyagers, irrespective of crew rarity, wouldn’t work. That way, a 3/5 gold may displace a 4/4 purple, or a 3/3 blue may displace a 1/4 purple.

I've been playing around with the sheet to see if I can use the existing functionality to better manage my crew. I turned off the "best 4* base" but left everything else intact. I got a bunch of freeze recommendations that I think I'm going to take because I need to unfreeze better voyage crew.
That said, this experiment has me further in the camp of "best voyagers" should be irrespective of rarity. That way, you're not hanging onto a 4/4 crewwhen you have sufficient 5* crew to get the job done.
I appreciate that this may not be a good time for suggestions, but I'm wondering if we could add a column for "in portal." I have a number of crew languishing at 3/4 and it would be helpful to identify whether I need to cite them or whether I can wait for a drop. The import from Datacore (which I appreciate is gone in less than a month) has a column for that.
Also, I have Ambassador Kell'eher at 3/4, level 30. DNA says airlock her, so I do. After updating the sheet with a new datacore download, she is listed as "need" and the reason identified is "Best 4* DIP base." I thought that the sheet based its decisions on FFFE, but if not, that could account for the difference.
In portal would need to be a manual process, but I can see the value in that. I'd need to find the "in portal" list (or not in portal list). I think there are some portal threads that have this.
As to the recommendations, yes they are based on FFE but there was a bug with some 5* crew that were flipping between Need and Space. I wonder if she's caught in that as well. I'll take a look at the 4* logic and see if there is another issue like I had in the 5* crew. If its not this, there are also settings that you can manually change that affect if you look at 3*, 4*, or only 5* crew for recommendations. (I think the default is 3* though so unless you changed it that is probably not the issue).
And there is never a bad time for suggestions, etc. keep them coming.
At least on the Datacore export In Portal is column J.
Assuming Datacore sticks around which I'm not counting on.
FYI, this has been added in 3.90 now that datacore will continue to exist. Release coming this week.
"Fixed EV Suit Seven to be Voyager vs enterprise.
Added new crew: B.G. Robinson, Brigitte Torres, Jhamel
Added column for ""in portal"" on the crew tab. please note, this only works if you use the datacore import."
Why do all of the "Level" calls read as "???"
What does the function code in the selected cell, Lt. Cmdr. Airiam, mean and why does it not register like the "Keep" cell does?

the ??? are because that field is filled by the datacore import process. if you with to do it manually (like I do) set the field to 100 FE for any fully fused and equipped crew. Also fill out the star column. The Keep column is used to override the "freeze" recommendation a crew may receive.
Thank you, CmdrWorf. I'll look into the importing. But my issue with the "Keep" field wasn't that specific field. If you look at the function code of the highlighted "Active" field, I can't select it and have a check show up like in the "Keep" field. I was wondering why that was..?

Ah, gotcha. thats built like that to support the import. to do it manual, copy the empty check box from the "keep" field and past it into the active field, then it should work as you wish.

I imported my crew file and I see now what it's supposed to look like! It's Awesome!! I just have to remember to update it as I update my crew in the game.. lol
When I import my data, the result is way off. I'm getting a total of 5 active crew, 1 1* and 4 2*, none of which are actually active. I have tried to do the SS twice, thinking I made a mistake somewhere (and maybe I am anyway), but get the same result both times.
@cmdrworf FYSA, Ransom Shran is listed twice in the Change Log for 3.91
@y2kansas Can you find those crew in your imported CSV? Are they duplicates? Any duplicate crew that are not frozen will have a separate line in the file and that can cause errors, as the lookups only find the first occurrence of the crew.
Many times I've grabbed the JSON from the API after a voyage and before airlocking the flotsam only to find my import corrupted. In previous versions of DNA, it was a fatal error that required me to start over from scratch (or delete all but the top two rows of the Import tab). However, I have not had that issue recently.

I found the problem, but I don't know how to fix it. When I pull the info from DataCore it's not pulling my data. The DBIDs don't match, but I can find no way to change accounts. I'm not even sure whose account it's pulling.

It's likely you created a separate account for the forums (still a valid DBID, but never actually used to play). I recommend opening an incognito browser window to load the player.json, or clearing your cookies.
@cmdrworf Minor glitch: Ransom Shran is listed twice in the changelog. Major glitch: Captain Erika Hernandez is listed as Version 3.81 instead of 3.91, which threw off my sorting when copying info over.

Did you ever open up on Facebook? The DataCore will default to the Facebook version. I had this problem. Clearing cookies and making sure you're logging into the right account when you go to the site will fix this.

Status Update. I'm going to apologize now to the community that I'm not going to be quite as on top of crew updates, etc for a bit. I've just found out my mother is Stage 4 cancer and we are in the process of setting up hospice, cleaning out the house, and getting long term care for my father. I will keep the updates coming, and 4.00 is near and I promise some major functionality launch with that. (i'm working one two things, so we'll see what makes it first for 4.00). This game and the community is my escape so I know I'll keep everything coming as I need something to keep my mind off of things.

Thanks for letting me ramble on.
Really sorry to hear that, @cmdrworf. My thoughts are with you and your family. Family is always first, so don't feel like you have an obligation to maintain the spreadsheet - take as much time away as you need. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we appreciate all the work you put into this resource.
If there's any way I can help out with the spreadsheet to ease the burden on you, let me know.
Sorry to hear the news @cmdrworf , I totally agree with @Riley600 family comes first, I appreciate all the work you put into this sheet and hope you can still find this game a good escape to help cope with it all. Bring updates as you can, we'll all understand.

@cmdrworf My deepest sympathies. I can't imagine how difficult it is to coordinate all of that, but I do appreciate needing an escape. We all definitely appreciate the work you continue to put into this, but take care of yourself first. You're no good to anyone if you don't.

My $.02.
Edit: Just noticed this was mentioned on the previous page. Ignore this comment.
Fixed in 3.90 when I release that.

They included him in the event. I'm not sure what the deal is there. the meta data has him as enterprise, but it does not make sense.

I think it's because the Augments played the biggest role in ST: Enterprise, even though Riker & Picard are TNG characters
I'm just assuming Riker cosplayed other events in Enterprise history in the holodeck. Since the Augment costumes match the period...
