What would be a good move on DBs part is to do the $100 pack as one 5 star and the other $50 as the other 5 star. They had done that with some other events in the distant past, but I don't think we've seen it recently.
This is exactly what appeared in the portal briefly (Kira in the $50 package).
(The 2 Burnham offer was also there prematurely, which I tried to buy. Charged me but got nothing, oh, well can't blame me for trying.)
Paris again eh? Well I guess I'll have to give it me best. Don't think I can make it but we'll see.

They briefly had all three packs up and that seems to be exactly what they're going to do. Paris was the $100, Kira was the $50, and Burnham was the $25
"The truth is usually just an excuse for a lack of imagination."
I'm playing this one in hopes of getting Burnham. I've got four crew members to work on between now and Monday. Hopefully by time the event ends, I'll be caught up on crew again and will be ready to dive right into equipping and leveling her. Time to earn your keep, immortalized Rura Penthe Reed!
I guess Burnham being the ranked is nice because we can get her ff for no $$$. But it would have been nice to use her on the shuttles during the event.
Hrmm, no ranked or threshold rewards mentioned in the post, and the announcement calls Burnham existing. This is a bit disappointing,
You could always open the event rewards box in game and see who is rank...
Just pointing out the continued downhill slide in attention to detail and communications, without having to be quite so blunt.
But, in this case, there's no "downhill slide". The information is literally right there for you to consume. For some reason, you seem to think putting it in a redundant location is good communication.
If you're going to give them a hard time about something, pick on something legitimate. Don't manufacture meaningless slights. The more you do stuff like that, the more it'll just get ignored or you drown out legitimate concerns.
Kind of surprised he isn't since they usually flip the 5* on a rerun. Looks like they wanted as little editing of the rewards table possible so swapped in Burnham as the ranked 4* and copied the rest of things exactly as they were for the first run of this event.
You've got to be kidding me. Disguised Kira isn't a reward at any level.
When there's two 5* event crew, one will be reward, the other pack only.
It's a shame that Paris wasn't the pack crew.
I am happy I can get a second star for my Delta Flyer Paris. Even at one star he is very good in Voyages as he has command, engineerind and medical. He is also very easy to lvl up for a legendary.
Well some people are not going to like it but here is the part where I ask DB to publish a list....again. The devs must feed a list into the system to activate the bonus. So a list is avialable.
Step 1
Some developer at DB gives that list to Shan
Step 2
Shan publishes list
Step 3
The forum rejoices
Step 4
People complain about X crew member being left off
(see you think I forgot that one didnt you?)

Just wanted to point out that you can't do this if you're holding off claiming rewards from prior events. I do this often, so it would be nice if they put the info in the post for us.

"Worf killed and ate a member of the crew and he was back on the bridge the next episode"
Now let's not rush to judgement - for all we know, Neanderiker beat that guy to death to establish dominance, and Worf just came along later and ate the corpse. I mean, the replicators go offline, engineering's all tied up in spiderwebs so they're not fixing anything, what's a guy to do when he gets peckish?
I'm really glad that Rura Penthe Reed is the Threshold Reward! I fully equipped and leveled him to 100 for the event, even though I only have him at 1/4*. I'll be able to immortalize him.
I may stop there though as I have absolutely no desire for Burnham and I've already airlocked Hockey Paris many times over. Delta Flyer Paris would be nice though - so I guess I will have to see how my crew does with bonuses. I have an immortalized 5* Commander Kira, a level 100 3/4* Proton Paris and 3/4* Cardassian Kira at Level 100. So if shuttle missions are going well, maybe I'll push on.
So how is a chemically/magic sciencey induced state equivalent to that which ones does simply because one is stressed or by their own will?
One could argue that Burnham did what she did because of fear of failure instilled in her by Sarek's misdeed. Burnham was not forgiven for her act and has been working hard all season to make things right. She is a flawed character working towards redemption. I for one enjoy the detailed and complex characters of Discovery. They feel much more real than other treks that sometimes had too flat and one dimensional characters. For example, Janeway, season one of Voyager, came off as altruistic to a fault, putting the needs of others far above the needs of her own people. Her character didnt feel real season 1.

Diminished capacity based on fear of failure vs drug induced trip doesn't wash. Though for idiots on juries the twinkie defense deceives them.
We've had flawed before, just not this so far gone.
I love how broken and full of bad decisions is 'real'. There's plenty of real people who do good in real life even when the doo-doo hits the fan. But those folks don't get nominated or elected to lead us because they can't be 'real'.
Our societies desire and celebrate evil too much.
I pretty much stand with Linday Wagners Steel City Con speech on Heroes.
Burnham wanted to protect the crew of the Shenzou. Her motivation was good but her choices were not. She is a flawed character. That is how the writers made her. The writers wanted the show to go in a certain direction and Burnham's actions were the plot device used to achieve it. As such I dont see her actions in episode 1 as indicative of her character and personality. But for those that dont see it the same way, in the show, her actions were not forgiven by Starfleet. She suffered serious consequences and may suffer more when her mission helping Lorca is done. But in the meantime she is doing everything she can to make amends and become a better person. I like that about her. People are not perfect. People dont always do the right thing. But if they are good people they try to make amends and not repeat the same mistakes. That is what makes her a real character and one you can like.

Well, have to hand it to DB on this one; two separate packs sorts it all. Thanks guys.

Maybe to cajole people into buying the $50 offer when it appears on Friday?

Oh they aren't getting anymore of my money. I've invested enough in packs and got brunt too many times.

I add that info to the event post when I copy them over to the subreddit. Or if Reddit isn't for you, you can also go to the wiki page for the event and find that info in the rewards section.
