I am among the banned. I tapped on a thing to claim, it said "Buy again", and I tapped a few more times. I didn't notice that the item was to be claimed only once; why would there be a "Buy again" button? I tapped it a bunch of times, glancing at my currency that was visible on the pack screen. I wasn't sure if anything was being subtracted or not. I thought that with all of the new currencies in the game that something must have been being subtracted somewhere, even if it wasn't dilithium or merits. I thought, "That's weird," and went about my day.
People at TP have clearly worked very hard on the implemantation of a new feature of the game, that should be recognized. But it appears that as a result of the intense focus on this feature, management has hastily made an emotional decision to impose a heavy and unprecented punishment on a "small" number of players because of the alleged "severity" of the bug. In doing so they've alienated a much larger segment of the player base, an unforced error that will adversely affect their revenue many times over the original bug. The molehill has been made into a mountain, and they need to proceed carefully if they want to prevent further damage to the brand.
I don't care about the three day ban, I'm going to enjoy my weekend off. But I say that as someone who is VIP0; I don't have any skin in the game compared to the other players who purchase the monthly dilitium pack, campaign track, etc. Those people, who literally pay the bills at TP/WRG, have legitimate grievances that should be addressed. Framing the error as exploitation by a bunch of cheaters is not the way that I would go about fixing the problem, not if I want those players to continue spending money on the game.

What is crazy is that they offered the same screen to compensate the players who did not get banned and to do what people did to get banned in the first place. WTF kind of thinking is that?? lol hesitantly I did collect all 19 but...damn.....talk about anxiety yesterday

speaking of wallets, i just got off the phone with customer service at the amazon appstore. they refunded not only my most recent purchase in the game, but also my last purchase of amazon coins.
now that i no longer have any currency tied up in the game, i will be free-to-play for however long i continue to play the game. i've been playing for nearly 5 years. but now, not one more penny from me, not ever. had they rethought their position and lifted the ban early, i probably wouldn't have called. now it's too late.
time to go update my ratings in google play and amazon appstore to 1 star.
I couldn't go through this entire thread but did want to add my agreement with almost everyone I did read. It is really a bannable offense to press a button because on the previous screen there was (in tiny print) a note that said "claimable once daily"?
I was hoping for an additional message from devs by now. The day isn't over yet, but the outlook isn't good. I just want the ban lifted, now that they have been suspended for 24 hours and lost all their ISM, constellations, and polestars. I want my fleetmates back. That's all.

You may have to dispute it with your credit card company or PayPal (whichever method you used). Did you speak with someone over at Steam directly?

Just a word of advice: if you get a refund - and especially if you post about it on the forums saying you got one - your ban will be longer than 3 days. Don't push the nuclear button unless you're prepared for the fallout.
Shan has clearly decided to treat this like the AND bug. Ignore every thread and hope that is goes away.
It's not on the same level. A fully documented and proven bug being ignored is nowhere near as egregious as the cravenness of hiding under a table after they lit the fuse that burned the house down. It's pure, unadulterated cowardess and that applies to everybody at WRG/TP who has any authority in the decision including @Shan because I don't believe for one second that Shan was not involved in some capacity.
Card dispute is time consuming and based on both parties. So if TP will provide evidence of usage for stuff you buy that no one will refund anything. Going rouge on social media will not help either. If they decide to be fair, they will do something if not, then we’re out of luck. :-)
