  • Well.....the weekend is here, and I’m going into chill mode. I’ll resend shuttles till phase 2...then NOTHING....no galaxy...I’m thinking full-on F2P. Got my “free” event crew....not doing anything else, which is great because while I would normally buy some extra boosts, now I won’t. The buck just stopped here. Let’s have a staring contest. TP, how long can you last without revenue?
  • DScottHewittDScottHewitt ✭✭✭✭✭
Please don't hate on me for what I am about to say. First off, the reaction from TP is probably extreem, but then, we don't know what criteria they used to decide who to ban (poor transparency and communication). But we know they had to do something. I come to this conclusion because I remember the debacle a long time ago with a bugged pack that gave out a ridiculous reward. In that case, there were players who got a ton of resources and it was WAY more evident that the issue was a bug. At first there was a mixed response. I remember how upset some of the players were that others were getting away with something.

If TP had done nothing, many of those complaining here would be complaining that they were.cheated because some people "got away" with something. I'm not saying this justifies a ban or just how far TP should have gone, but I think we can calm a bit and rationally agree something had to be done. I can also agree that we should have heard something more from them, but in the present mood of the most active and vocal player base, I don't think people would be satisfied with any answer. (Although in one of these hundreds of posts I did see one good theoretical letter a player proposed.)

I advise a bit more calm and patience. From all sides. We will eventually get a response.

Also, as previously mentioned, if you seek out a refund, don't post about getting it and then expect to keep playing. That was made very clear in previous community uproars.

So I discovered that I got one more donate in the bag than I paid for this morning. What's the resolution? 1) The donate shop has to give everyone a free donate so they don't feel cheated. 2) Everyone who didn't get the free donate realizes that mistakes happen but it didn't really cost them anything. or 3) The Tilting Point way. I spend 3 days without donuts for exploiting the store.

Guess which store I won't be visiting soon.

    The "donate" store?

I've reported this issue 4 different times and have sent in screen shots proving the glitch is happening.

Their response was to tell me that this issue isn't wide spread in the game and at the same time they failed to completely understand the problem and fix it. Costing me precious dilithium (most from in game purchases) spinning the Dabo wheel, winning 6 items for my crew and only get to equip 1 or 2 as the other items vanish from the crew manifest before I can use them, holding back my crews advancement towards max level and immortalizing them.
Also, delaying my completing away team missions since I have no crew to use that has the needed level to do the next mission.

This is a misunderstanding. Let us assume you have 12 crew who could use a Social Lesson and you have 1 Social Lesson. The manifest would show a marker of 12 as there are 12 possible uses for the 1 item. But as soon as you equip it on one of them the counter will go away entirely as you have nothing to equip to the other 11 crew left.

The same goes for recipies. If you use components and they then lack from other recipies the counter goes down a lot.

This is not a bug but working properly.

Okay. I took the post you quoted to say "I'll have twelve of an item, use less than twelve, and have the remainder disappear. Because that is what happens to me.

I will have {example} twelve COPIES of an ITEM. I will use four on ONE CREW and the OTHER EIGHT just DISAPPEAR....

What she is saying is, take a four star social lesson for instance. You have one of them but 12 of your crew in your quarters need them. All 12 show a yellow plus sign for that item. If you equip that on one person, the other 11 yellow plus signs will go away and now be yellow wrenches, meaning you now have to build them for these 11 others because you used the one you had

Okay. Clearly both of you are not understanding me. Say I have twelve Casings. Crafting ONE Item needs four. I craft that item. The other eight Casings just go away. Lots of people are apparently having the same problem. I am NOT talking about twelve crew showing up needing the same item, and not being able to build it for all twelve, with only enough parts to build one. I am talking about a totally different issue.

EDIT: Saw Robownage caught what I meant when I got to this page!

After re-reading you are right, I misunderstood the issue. I never heard of such a bug before though. Have you? It is a bit unlikely that it affects exactly one player.

Others have posted similar issues. Like large amounts of leftover parts disappearing, even if only one or two is used.

It's not on the same level. A fully documented and proven bug being ignored is nowhere near as egregious as the cravenness of hiding under a table after they lit the fuse that burned the house down. It's pure, unadulterated cowardess and that applies to everybody at WRG/TP who has any authority in the decision including @Shan because I don't believe for one second that Shan was not involved in some capacity.

Except initially Shan was sending emails calling people "rude and a cheater". So he is involved at some level. At the very least he is trying cover for his buddies.

Maybe if by the 14th page you realized Shan was a woman and stopped referring to her as a he you would have had better luck.

Who cares what Shan is other than an obvious moron try to cover for incompetence.

You're way out of line. Shan isn't perfect, but has done a LOT for this community. Be angry, take action if you feel slighted by what happened, but show some bloody respect.

She doesn't deserve to be treated that way.
I think a lot of people are forgetting we're not dealing with some mega-corporation at the Timelines game level. The entire Wicked Realm development team could probably fit in a minivan.
Disruptor Beam went bankrupt, that's how we got Tilting Point. They're just trying to protect their revenue stream so we all have a game to play.
I've been playing this game for five years, and I'm deeply troubled people are going out of their way to damage the game's future. That's not right, to make those who were innocent in this suffer for the actions of others, and jeopardizing the viability of the game simply because some people can't get their way.
I'm afraid all of this overreaction has probably pushed Tilting Point to the point where they can't give in, and I understand that, and support that decision.
This has gone to the point where we're forced to take sides. Do we want an honestly run game, or do we want to burn it to the ground?
I choose to support the folks who've built our game. They didn't do anything Draconian here, they didn't kick anyone out, and, from past experience, I'm sure they'd have made good on purchases, and such. Nobody even gave them a chance before backing them into a corner, and they deserved better.

They created the monster that has them back into the corner. People pay real money for this game. Ive spent close to $100 in the last 2 months alone on it... They can take away the bonus's received, but they hurt my fleet (people who are not me) and my investment by not being able to play for 3 days. In a game where the goal posts are constantly moving 3 days can never been replaced.

They did this to themselves and forgiving them for this the way you want to do that is like forgiving your S\O for cheating on you. You are just asking for them to do it again.

    🐂💩

You can call the company out (and rightfully so), while still showing basic respect to the human beings whose unfortunate job it is to deal with the fallout.

And I say that as someone who's spent more than you have guaranteed and is furious with how this situation is being dealt with.

I can't believe I even have to say this. Imagine someone showed up at your job and personally attacked you for decisions the upper management made. Grow up.

I run an automotive shop for a living. Im right there with you as far as not abusing the help, but I dont feel sorry for them considering why this is happening.

I've said many, many times that Shan is just the messenger/bus speed bump. All she can do is pass on what the company says she can pass on, and pass our concerns back to the company. Was the wording of the message they gave her to pass on yesterday kind of harsh and rude? Yes. Were the words Shan's or the company's? Clearly the company. I can see in my head Shan at her keyboard literally crying as she typed some of the things they made her type yesterday. Just as I am literally crying sitting here tapping the screen of my tablet, thinking about Shan sitting at her keyboard crying......

  • They aren't going to post a reply, apologize, or try to walk this back.

Remember the offer wall debacle and the breach of personal info. They updated their TOS AFTER they made the switch. But when the player base was outraged over that, TP waited days (maybe a week?) before they even replied to that. And it was along the lines of 'We looked into it and you're A ok! Besides, this definitely your fault!'

I think this is going to be the last straw for many of us.

How bout this Scott. Are you sure it just takes 4 casings? Many times as you go through the builds and get to the last screen, you went through a few that require 2/2. Say there’s two of those before you get to the final screen saying casings 4/4. You have to build two each of those 2/2’s with 4 casings which means you are in need of 16 casings, not 4.

Legit in that yes, she’s done the work to support and build the community and be a buffer against both teams of greedy morons she’s worked for; and that yes, she’s the Prime delivery driver for boxes of smoldering poo. I work IRL for a hated Federal agency. I don’t make the rules, but I have to uphold and enforce them. The rules are there for a reason, but they don’t always make sense or are needed (because NOWHERE do you find greedy morons like the middle and upper echelons of a Federal bureaucracy), and even the people tasked with enforcing them don’t particularly like them. I get the place where Shan is stuck.

That said, and full empathy, when you work for greedy, exploitative morons who do not-nice, stupid things to people, taking one bag after another of steaming poo right on the chin is part of what you sign up for.

I mean it happens when I am crafting an item at the bottom of the stack. Not "Quick building" or anything.....
