    A few things:
    - your feedback/concerns have been shared, and while I do not have anything else to add at this time, I can say we are discussing it internally
    - there is no official FB STT group, we do not have any control on any STT FB groups
    - Scott, if you have more information about that face mask, please PM me - thank you
  • I sent in a ticket after I was ban. Yesterday I was contacted by customer service. I was offer a refund of the $10 I spent on the Worf Niners, but they said I would need to contact my bank to get the refund ? It made no sense, and I use ITunes gift cards if I’m going to spend money on any app. So there is no way to get a refund.

Plus my frustration was not being able to unlock all the tier rewards like I usually do. I never make it in the to 1000, but. I always manage to unlock the threshold rewards. After the ban that was impossible to do for e without spending money.

The CS rep went ahead and gave me all the threshold rewards after the went through my account and saw my what I did in pass events.

Is this enough to make up for what happened. I don’t feel so. But I think it’s because I feel so insulted the way they treated me over the last week. Enough so that I do not spend the $10 and I usually would have to unlock the monthly reward.

After the ban I did take a few days off from playing and came back on but I don’t complain as much as I did in the past. I’m not too sure how much longer I’ll leave and continue playing at this point. The main reason I’m sticking around is because of my squadron. That as a squander leader I feel it’s my duty to continue, but I feel really disheartened that company he thinks he can treat us badly, cripple our gameplay, and try to Move on.

I guess what I’m saying is if you want to try to see if the company will do something for you if you were ban and then try sending them a ticket like I did, and see what your results are.
  • Thank you for that Shan, really good to know everyone’s opinions aren’t falling on deaf ears

It's the one I brought up months ago. I sent the info to WRG. It showed up when all those companies were advertising masks on Facebook. A lot of companies {at least several being ONE company with MULTIPLE names/websites} were selling all kinds of mask designs. Everything from pop culture, TV, movie, and game stuff to traditional Native design based stuff. Most apparently we're not even certified by reputable testing agencies to do anything.

Agree whole heartedly. While it might seem repetitive to keep demanding an apology, at this point it is obvious that the stt team has no desire to apologize on their own accord.

I have seized all spending. I have supported others in my fleet who are doing the same. I have told all of my friends who play online games about this recent event and discouraged them from playing/downloading stt. These are my stances on things and this will not change for me until this company takes responsibility for its actions.

It's been said, and is likely true, that legal advice from the company lawyers would be "Whatever you do, do NOT make any kind of apology." There are ramifications legally if a company expressly admits wrongdoing and a court system or systems get involved......

I don't want to start a culture debate but there's something wrong with the US court system if a simple 'sorry' leads to litigation.

It can imply an admission of guilt. Can't be used to force a murderer to take a short fall off a high platform, but can add zeroes in a civil litigation.....

I hate to be the negative one but “being discussed internally” does not really do much for me. Especially when the same post is followed up with a request for info so they can track down a potential copyright infringement on facemasks.

A few Canadian provinces literally passed laws a few years ago clarifying that saying sorry was not an admission of guilt.

    Getting back on track

As expected tp is refusing to acknowledge they inappropriately banned players for their own programming errors. They are moving forward with other announcements and changes.

They have yet to apologize or accept fault. That is the crux of my issue with them.

I can appreciate that some people dislike that there are still some of us who are spreading negativity. I will just remind you all that ben himself said that the forums were the official place for feedback and last i checked, the positivity police were due for some layoffs.

Possibly much to your surprise, I don't disagree with you. They should apologise. They were out of line. They should own their mistake and their role in the entire disaster.

None of this is new. I've said this multiple times now.

Hold their feet to the fire. Quit the game if you're that aggrieved. Stop all spending if you think that is the best way to send a message. Give all the constructive criticism in the world. I'm all for that.

But the stupid comments that serve no purpose, or the outright lies people have been posting lately... yeah, no. There isn't a need for that. Enough beating a dead horse on the "they'll ban you for that" joke alone.

I get it. People are still mad about the bans. They should be. I wasn't banned and I'm mad about it too. However, if anyone thinks they'll do that again for anything other than the absolute worst offenses after the nuclear reaction that just happened... well, you're out of you bloody mind.

They won't touch that red button again unless there's literally no other choice. It would probably literally end the game. They've made mistakes, but they're not insane. I'd put down a large amount of money on that.

So yeah, give feedback all you guys want. I encourage it, and it's the only way things improve. But let's try to keep it more towards legitimate feedback, and less about trolling with no benefits to anyone.

    feed·back
    /ˈfēdˌbak/

    noun
    1.
information about reactions to a product, a person's performance of a task, etc. which is used as a basis for improvement.
"throughout this process we have obtained valuable feedback"

What odds are you putting out there on TP doing something insane that kills Timelines? I might want in on this for a few bucks.

I'm not an odds maker, but I am a person who's made a significant amount of money playing the odds. I'm no expert, but I'd say the odds of them doing something like that again are slim to none.

Also, trolling and beating a dead horse are the second and third most popular things to do on the internet.

And that's a large part of the reason why the majority of the Internet is the online equivalent of the Mos Eisley spaceport. "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than most public forums or social media pages.

Until TP says that bans are only in situations where someone is actively exploiting the game (e.g., macros), this is going to come up. People are saying that the underlying issue hasn’t been addressed, and they’re right. TP is going to hear about this until they address it or Timelines goes under. That’s the price they’ve seemingly chosen to pay.

On this point, I don't disagree. TP needs to not only apologise and admit they were wrong, in a way that leaves no room for ambiguity, but they also need to make it clear they've learned from their mistake. The player base needs to have confidence that it was a lapse in judgment, that won't be repeated. Until that happens, the entire game is in limbo.
It’s been a week. How hard is it to admit making a mistake and apologize for it? Hell, I just did so to @DScottHewitt , and it didn’t hurt me.

The STT team, which includes Shan, need to realize that the longer this festers, the more bitter some players will become. That will not help drive revenue, y’all. Get your **tsk tsk** together already.

I think this is probably the most important point. People will forgive most mistakes if genuine accountability and remorse are shown. This needs to be addressed by TP. And the sooner, the better.

There is much wrong with the U.S. court system. Criminal and civil. But I don't want to open up that can of worms 😆

Thank you for apologizing, STT team. More than anything else, that is what mattered to me personally, even though I was not banned.
