In the script for Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Chapel was described as a "Starfleet Medical Officer whose history in Star Trek is known to all." The same script featured her in a short, ultimately excised scene. Set in the Federation Council Chamber, the scene detailed Commander Chapel meeting with Sarek upon his arrival there. She thanked him for coming but admitted to being unsure whether he was too late to testify at the then-ongoing trial of Admiral Kirk and the senior crew of the Enterprise. [5] Noted Majel Barrett, "I just had a couple of lines with Sarek, so it was really nothing of consequence." However, Barrett also considered that this scene would have been her "only real scene" in the movie. Chapel's role in Star Trek IV is so minimal that Barrett hypothesized, "If no one had called me Commander Chapel, the audience wouldn't really know that I was there." Longing to have more involvement in Star Trek, she proclaimed, "Somewhere Chapel got lost." On the other hand, Barrett also related about her brief inclusion in Star Trek IV, "I am grateful for having been in it after not being in Star Trek II or III [....] I loved it, I had such a great time." (Starlog #116)
This is messed up that you won't tell us the bonus crew. And don't say because you don't know. That would just make you look really stupid.
Lighten up, Francis.
You know full well that bonus crew will be announced on Tuesday morning. No one is happy about it, but your tantrums aren't going to help anything.
I don't think it is a tantrum. Your saying it is a tantrum is devisive and distasteful. YES it does make DB look stupid . I however think it makes DB management look incompetent.

Disagree. Incompetence within DB is hardly a secret. But it's well known that the "requested" information comes later than the announcement of the event. So it was unnecessary and unproductive.
Productive would have been to request DB to change it's policy of announcing this information so late, which we all would appreciate.
I've seen Star Trek IV so many times, and I don't remember Chapel in it at all. Still, it's nice to get another character in the Monster Maroons, my favorite Starfleet uniform.

I believe she’s in it pretty close to the end of the movie where Kirk was demoted to captain
People have been requesting Da Vinci since forever, Temproral Seven is awesome, and let's face it, the first actress/crewmember ever to be called "Number One" on Star Trek (albeit not as Chapel) by Captain Pike is always a great addition. I am really looking forward to this event.

You can also see Chapel and Rand during the sequence at Fleet Headquarters when the probe is ionizing/vaporizing the oceans.
We used to not get any info till two days before an event. Then we got info a week before an event. Now we get most info 5 days before an event and full info two days before. Ebb and flow people. Ebb and flow. We are still having much more ebb than flow. So let it go. Ride the walrus.
I think Janeway would make sense for a proxy "low" bonus character. The Di Vinci program was hers to start with, her connection to 7 who (like chapel) has few bonus characters..
This event Duchamps is existing and ranked
Last faction Reed was existing and threshold which if memory serves right was out of the ordinary. Probably because Michael B was so sought after.

Most of the posts here will be considered by someone somewhere to be unnecessary and unproductive. This does not mean that the rest of us want to see a further unnecessary and unproductive post telling that person that their post is a tantrum. The post, said to be a tantrum, did effectively ask DB to change it's policy regarding announcing the information earlier.

Excuse me, Pebble just said "no tangents"!
Heheh. My apologies, Pebble — we apparently "crossed the streams" with our posts there.

Speaking speculatively of additional bonus crew, while some of us were thinking Daystrom might be included, someone in my fleet floated the idea that Janeway variants might possibly be bonus, since Leonardo da Vinci came from Janeway's holodeck program.

That would also be GREAT...but i get the feeling that silence isnt consent from db this time...daystrom isn't going to be bonus crew but at least I still plan on getting Vinci eh silly me...probably won't get him after only 3 pulls...probably gonna have to buy his 50 dollar offer.

And YAY for another movie uniform character!! it took some digging but i suppose she'll look something like this
and her Memory Alpha page says this:

Crossing fingers for Da Vinci to be 3-skill too, with ENG/SCI/MED.
Commander Chapel deserves 3 skills, with MED/CMD/SCI or MED/CMD/DIP.

And at least two Doctor Chapels, too...
There's more history with that poster and this issue than just the one (now moderated) post that I quoted.
I wouldn't have been surprised if my post had been moderated as well. It was at least borderline.

Ok on topic. What was the topic again?
Something to do with lines touching curves I think.
