People been pretty much clamoring for Leo, and here he is!!!!!
Now, if he can just be Med/Sci/Eng.
Everyone will be 100% happy.
I don't really get the clamour for sci-eng-med. We don't have much eng-med in the game, i'd like to see more of that first. Sci-med and sci-eng are not underrepresented, eng-med is.
Anyway, if he's to get 3 skills, I think they should be eng-sci-dip. He was also a great writer and orator, as well as a renowned humanist. He was much admired in political circles, particularly by the king of France. And it would ignore his role as an advisor to Captain Janeway, in the context of Star Trek

I believe it's due to the fact that ENG/SCI/MED is the only skill trio that has zero characters devoted to it in the game. All other stat combinations are represented.
That would be a total nightmare, especially when they give us the info 3 days in advance. I have eleven 4* holograms in cryostasis.
It's gonna be a nightmare no matter what they pick or if they pick nothing.
Nothing would be just fine. We don't need a huge number of event characters every week
For faction you end up with fail city with such a small amount.
So would everyone else. It doesn't make any difference.
Massive fails make it unfun regardless of how it affects or not affects ranking. Also could make the difference for some folks even making threshold.
Just cause it would **** eggs for everyone doesn't make it **** less.
Why do you care how many pass or fail? That's mostly irrelevant. The goal in any event (except for newbies) is to finish higher than your competition and get the best rewards. If you let a couple of shuttle failures bother you then you should probably quit the game. I fail 10+ a day sometimes.

Do you always go for the baby with the bathwater?
A few, no a few doesn't cause suckage. A lot causes suckage. Repeated failure failure failure = not fun, and DB having racheted up the difficulty and seats per shuttle it's harder for some folks to achieve what you term the 'basic' rewards without the assistance of more than 1-2 decent bonus crew.
Its also completely assisine to have a crap ton of bonus crew on a galaxy and then little or no variants on a faction event. Its the epitome of dart board design mechanics. As if DB is using their own RNG to determine what characters go into an event.

Despite your poor attempt at hyperbole, the failure rate isn't going to be any worse than day to day shuttles (~60%) because of the way the VP tiers work. In fact, it will probably be higher.
There is no rule that says a certain type of event needs a certain number of bonus characters. Variety is a good thing and gives players with different crews a chance to succeed. If the consequence is you crying yourself asleep because you didn't pass 85% of your shuttles then we can all live with that.
Also, please don't make up fake quotes and attribute them to me in order to advance your argument.

Adding seats = more difficult when bonus crew are a factor. Removal of the two seaters is a fact that occurred for events and with real implications. That changes the difficulty of success/fail of each shuttle.
I did no creative editing and simply hit the quote button, so that accusation is as spurious as your attempt as deflected hyperbole. I should go quit cause I find it **tsk tsk** the possibility of running at minimum 12 seats on shuttles with barely the possibility of half of them being filled with bonus crew.
Yes, there is no rule that there should be x number of bonus crew per event, HOWEVER, applying logic one would realize that Galaxy events require less bonus crew than faction as has been discussed prior and should not be a new concept. To just say "Hey there's no X requirement" and to disregard the logical pieces mentioned, well, that's creative editing right there.
And thank you for making this personal, it adds that extra bit of garlic and paprika.

Are you trolling me? The false quote is in quotations in the body of your paragraph, not the grey quote box.
I responded to your concerns with several logical points and you ignored every single one of them to go on this incoherent rant. What do 2 seat shuttles have to do with event rank? We all get the same shuttles and will settle in at the appropriate VP tier for our crew. The shuttle pass/fail rates will always be close to what we see on a day to day basis.
Any personal attacks that you perceive are a product of your imagination. I said no such thing. I don't wish this to escalate any further so I think I'm finished with this conversation. Enjoy the event.
Super excited for Chapel appreciation! I've been hoping for Honey Bare and either Chapel or Rand (or any of the many yeomans in TOS...) so I'm super excited.

For the longest time Chapel was my best Med character. She has been in my freezer for months now and I am sort of pleased she will be useful for something again.
4* Chapel was always one of those cards I feel could use an update given the recent power creep. Just one ability and few traits? Other cards I feel could use an update are 5* drunken Troi and 5* Captain Scott, but I am sure there are other 1.0 cards in the mix that look weak compared to recent releases.

I am so excited for Chapel too, because that means finally we get a new MED crew. And she had better be good. Chapel got so short-shafted all through TOS and its movies, so let's do her a little honour in this game. She was a wonderful character.
I keep fearing DB is going to make Commander Chapel either CMD or DIP primary and it's like while I guess I get it, we have been crying for better, stronger, and more MED crew for months now. Deliver please!
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.
I've seen Star Trek IV so many times, and I don't remember Chapel in it at all. Still, it's nice to get another character in the Monster Maroons, my favorite Starfleet uniform.
You can also see Chapel and Rand during the sequence at Fleet Headquarters when the probe is ionizing/vaporizing the oceans.
I heard rumors that Chapel's character was cut out, but man, I did not even pay nearly enough attention whan I was watching the movie at that time! You are absolutely correct!
1) I have a 3* Temporal Agent Seven. Does she (or other event crew) give bonus based on stars or levels - or any combination? That is to say, should I be focused on leveling her this week because I'll get more of a bonus the higher level -- or is the bonus just coming from the fact that I have her to use?
2) How in the world do you start a new thread on these forums? I'm feeling like a giant idiot because I can't find a "new topic" button -- would have started this as a separate question since it doesn't pertain specifically to this event.

Event crew have IIRC x3 multiplier. So if your seven have 200 SCI it will count as 600 and if SCI is 400 it would be 1200. So of course you should level her.

I just hope that this amazing character doesn't turn out to be another generic ENG/SCI crew. Leonardo was a genius and his stature in STT must absolutely reflect that.
