Agreed for Leonardo. Composition looks good but details are the new low-res-splotchy style. Chapel's face looks great but the rest of her not so much. Look at the difference in quality of art on Seven of Nine, from when DB did shading vs now where it's all hard lines.
Look at Seven's fingers and hair, then Chapel's fingers and hair. The difference in depth, details and coloration.
I completely agree, and I'm just as disappointed in the quick-and-dirty artwork that the newer crew seem to be getting. But I expect that this is our lot from now on, considering the recent layoffs and no doubt continued cost-cutting at the company, as it's surely less man-hours spent to do it this way than to have an artist take the time to do really stellar and detailed work.
Sadly, I don't know that a lot of other players notice these differences. To me, however, it means slightly diminished enjoyment from the game, since the heart of STT is collecting cards of characters that we enjoy, and there is unfortunately not as much for me to enjoy with this less-detailed style of artwork.
Some of it may depend on the size of the screen folks are playing on. Unless I go to the 'art view' its hard to distinguish the details on a phone like mine unless I come here to the forums or play on steam.
I just hope that Commander Chapel has MED as main stat and strong base value. Given that she is called "Commander", DB probably seized the occasion and gave her the highest value for CMD (we obviously had to few of those in recent weeks) and some crappy for MED...it's an eternity since we had an attainable (i.e. 4*) crew with main stat 4* in an event (worthless Troi does not count the month we all got her as the 4th month daily reward). It would be about time.
Concenring the artwork of da Vinci: Well...we can agree it's not a da Vinci...
Here we go again... Chapel's collar and rank ribbon should be olive green for medical. It's pretty obvious in all the pictures people have posted in this thread. It's the Captain Sulu issue in reverse. Other than that, her portrait is great.

Agreed. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this.
Unfortunately, in many of the publicity photos the lighting is such that you can't immediately tell the correct colour, and in the film itself, she appears only fleetingly when it's dark. So the error is understandable, but an error nonetheless.
As others have said though, facially, the art is good.
This blows so much, it's beyond contemptible. All three are scientists (was hoping Leo was ENG and Chapel MED. Stats of Leo are not very encouraging, not to compare with the new dude Culber, who is at least useful as a 1/5. Forget he is SCI/ENG/MED, the latter you can just as well regard as meaningless, so low is his stat (proficiency not even useful in arena). The only useful thing is that with his traits he can clear Researching Future History for me.

I think a lot of people notice it. There was an entire thread about it on the old forums. As a card collection based game, the art is kinda sorta (very) important.
I play on my phone, and even so, if I switch between Coffee Janeway and her new 2* counterpart, the old one looks clear, fresh and full of life while the new one looks blah and clip-art-y:

The challenge is, depending on which image you look at, the ribbon is white, or at least not-green.
So we chose to use the official promotional shot for reference. It was a judgment call.
You can also make the argument that during her incredibly brief moment of inclusion, it's not clear if she's supposed to be supporting the Science division (white) or the Medical division (green-ish) or was a warm body to operate the station in an emergency (idk).
The real problem isn't whether the band is supposed to be green or white. It's that Starfleet made very bad decisions in uniform design as a cost-saving measure. The rest of the universe is continuing to suffer for their short-sightedness.

What cost saving? our dystopian... erm... utopian 23 century glorious workers paradise has gotten rid of hunger and greed and money (although how anything works without a medium of exchange is never really explained even though we still have “federation credits”). So Starfleet is out in la la land and therefore it’s not about saving costs but bureaucratic government inefficiency... I mean how many admirals in Starfleet are there pushing digital paper around and obfuscating about colour and uniforms. I mean between DIS, TOS and the movies, there are like three major uniform changes in like a decade...

this is an excellent explanation and i hope we hear more from you about things like this - cheers!
So I love that Leo is the first SCI/ENG/MED we've had. And he's wonderful.
I like the Cmdr. Chapel, but I'm a little disappointed she's not MED primary.
I mean working in medicine is literally her biggest role, not science, nor command, nor diplomacy.
So I really don't understand the decision to make her SCI primary.
All in all, I'm pleased, just that I wish more thought went into choosing Chapel's skills properly though.
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.

Lenoardo da Vinci
FE 1/5 level 100
ENG 644 (177-354)
SCI 781 (80-228)
MED 141 (161-483)
Commander Chapel
FE 1/4 level 100
DIP 125 (149-301)
SCI 495 (76-257)
MED 329 (99-350)
With MED being so low, that its almost meaningless.
No thank you for making Chapel threshold & Temporal Agent Seven ranked.
...Thanks for the extra gear for Barak & Worf, I guess? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It will still be quite all right for voyages, especially if you choose to sacrifice MED to boost ENG or SCI.
Is copy and paste this hard to master? lol
I mean i have once or twice, but only when im typing to fast and dont double check what im doing.
Anyone know what is wrong with threshold rewards?
It’s got Worf’s Dk’tagh and Barak’s mekleth (yeah can’t spell Klingonese worth a darn) it the table
Dreadful!
Well, he did die before they started handing them out.
