I agree that it is important that the revised rank/loot tables get published ASAP, as people are often aiming for a particular threshold in terms of rewards. I'd hate to come up short or spend extra chrons and wind up overshooting my personal target.

Highly doubt that was there thinking. There would be way easier ways to create more/extra revenue and they miss out on it since forever. 😁
It would have been easier for everyone to give one additional Spock up to position #3000 (or 2000) and 40k honor to the top 3 rather than to extend the event for 24 hours.

The 24 hour extension is a punishment, not a compensation. Now a moderate player going for the top 1000 has to expend about an extra 5k chrons? Does that look like a fix? In the face of a Galaxy event?
Even if the rewards are expanded and now a top 2000 is required, it's more difficult to hold rank. The 24 hr extension negates a rewards expansion.

I don't think those changes would do much, the 24 hr extension pretty much negates any ranked rewards expansion (because ranks are more difficult to hold now). At this point, I think what troubles me the most is that the 24 hr extension is requiring the use of maybe (I don't know) 25% more chronitons, right before a galaxy event (where chronitons are the main resource). Did anyone consider this before deciding to extend the event? Isn't a better "compensation" at this point to swap the galaxy and faction events of the mega? (yeah, I know how improbable and how much of a trouble that would be)

Myself & many more in the fleet - not to mention others here - will not be playing the extra 24 hours so it would be very helpful to know if you will take into consideration the feedback & just stop it at the regular time?

I assume that the fix they found was to reset the event. I don't think they had much choice about the extention. But no matter what they came up with, people would be upset. For my part, I believe they were trying hard in a tough situation and are doing the best they can. I have not recently given them much credit, but I think they are genuine here and salute the effort. With night approaching on a Sunday evening and with doubtless a reduced staff they got the game back up and had very little time to come up with a solution. I'm not sure if the solution is to my taste or not, but I thank them for trying and since it is what they put forth, I'll take advantage of it. I got a full sleep.

Just to add my point of view regarding all this: I almost didn't play yesterday. I wasn't planning to, I did some skirmishes early, a little at the end of the day. The downtime didn't hit me at all, I didn't even know something happened. Until today. I wake I up 5 hours before the end of the event, to learn that there was a couple of hours of downtime yesterday, now the event ends tomorrow, and the intel cost was reset. I wasn't hurt by the downtime, but I'm being hurt by the "solution"
And I know this is probably going to end with Spock in the mail for everyone. I don't like that, I don't want things handed to me for nothing. I wanna play, I want to know the rules of the game, plan accordingly, make strategies, and win. Not open a mail.

While I think this extension will sadly hurt WRG's bottomline in the near term and lead to burnout, I am concerned that waiting on a rewards update isn't helping. I see a lot of anger across the board. A copy and paste of the last time the table got expanded would be useful to calm the masses.
